I officially don't need my husband anymore 😂 With the help of the video I fixed my dryer in 10 minutes! Awesome step by step instructions, I just wish I didn't use pliers to be turning it and ordered myself a new knob. It cost $89 for the whole timer part 😔

Perfect step by step instructions! I ordered the part on eBay for under $30 and fixed it myself! The repair company quoted me almost $200 for parts and labor. THANK YOU!

You're an Angel sir. Thank you so much! I broke me back two years ago at work and work comp ran out over a year ago. I'd already had 5 spinal discs, knees and feet problems before this last disaster. It's kinda hard to support a family of five when the wife's the only one working, which isn't enough to make it, so it's going to catch up with us in the next couple of months, but thanks to you and guys like you, I can at least save a few dollars here and there. Have a Merry Christmas sir and GOD Bless you and yours :)

Thank you for the great video. This was one of the best instructional videos that I have used. I was able to easily replace my timer. Currently, that part is often backordered, for $350 to as much as $450. Through my stubborn persistence, I found one in stock for $135.

This is an excellent description of how-to replace/repair the timer. Unfortunately, at today's GE parts costs ($521), I think it's an obvious decision to buy a new dryer.

Thank you, I can actually do this all the other videos show you how take it the timer apart to and fix the switch, noooooo! That is to much for me, but this is doable.

Good directions on replacing the timer. I would however place a towel on the dryer so you dont have to explain to the picky home owner how scratches got on her appliance. Believe me, they're out there looking for any chance to get a freebie.

If we open the door or unplug the dryer the noise stops

Would this be the cause for my maytag electric dryer making a loud noise when it gets to the end of the drying cycle

+Michael Reed Can you describe the noise and the location of the noise? If it only occurs near the end of the cycle it may be temperature related.
