I have over 3 decades of teaching people how to judge color choices, as a color consultant. Working in the paint industry really helped knowing the actual color of pigments that went into the paint. DO NOT decide on colors comparing them to each other. It’s a process and I work with people who get overwhelmed with color. I teach clients that go from a random guess and HOPE you get it right; to an educated choice. Easy peasy

I know that your side of the projects is the videotaping and then creating an amazing and entertaining video for us to watch. Don’t lose track of having fun and enjoying the spontaneity of Andrea and of you. To support your neck when you are painting ceilings wear a soft collar like the ones you get in the ER. NOT the rigid ones. Saves your neck.

I agree that ordering paint samples is far better for paint color decisions than those tiny free cards. MY problem was I ended up with a quilt look on a wall because I bought TEN samples.
I ended up going with the olive green I'd already painted on an "accent" wall. Ugh!
The walls in my 70+ house are so awful that prep is making my painting projects take forever.
Today, I took a hammer and tool to pry off some unnecessary wood trim in my hallway. Those nails were nearly 3" long! Now I need a Lowe's trip for sheet rock, mud and tape to repair the mess I made before I can finish painting the short hallway with 7 doorways then I can finish the bedroom project.
Having a paint sprayer would make it easier and quicker.
(I also have 4 shutters in the basement waiting for their second coat (I'll probably do 3).
Gardening season will keep me outdoors for several months so I've got to get going!
EDUKate, I get it! Dividing time between house and garden projects is what I do too😅. And usually have 2 or 3 (of each space) in different stages of completion! But I love doing both, and hubs has gotten used to it .. finally after 30+ years!!😮

This bedroom redesign is exquisite, but I'm wondering where your daughter will display the kind of posters that most teenage girls like to plaster on their bedroom walls, eg pop stars, movie posters etc. Or maybe your daughter won't be into that stuff? I was just impressed at how much prep work you had to do!! Wow!! The paint you chose is so nice! I chose a light lavendar for my bedroom & thought it was too light, so just went and bought a shade darker. 😬 I wish I had tried the lighter on the other walls...but, I learned a lesson!
