    One of my favorite dance tracks of my youth. Fast, hard, melancolic and dreamy. So unique and timeless.

    Atlantic Ocean - Waterfall. So many memorable moments around early 1994. There was pure happiness on the dance floor, in the club - magic! 😍

    Massive piece of my childhood. The Kiss 100 dance chart was a highlight of my week and it felt like Waterfall was in it for months, whatever the reality. It's so euphoric and like nothing else.

    Hi! Ben Liebrand shared on Facebook your video with Maxi Jazz, and i instantly watched it, and also watched the other videos. I think you are doing a excellent job providing us with some insights that otherwise can't be found on the internet. As an active DJ who is playing music for 30 years, i'm grateful for all that .I wish you grow big on UA-cam. Also i subbed :) and.. keep them coming :D

    • @muzikxpress
      @muzikxpress  6 років тому +2

      Thank you Gio! And thanks to your message I found out Ben also shared it, how nice, he's such a great guy! And thank you for the kind words, I started this because I'm very passionate about music as you might have noticed hehe ;-) So some people told me I should start a music vlog. I had no experience with video editing or vlogging in general, so it took a while to get things the way I wanted. I'm still not a pro, but I hope people enjoy the content, since I think that is what matters most ;-) I'm happy with everybody who is commenting and subscribing, that keeps me motivated! And of course all people that agree to let me interview them, so we all can find out more about their tracks :)

    Waterfall was literally a trance track back in time, and yes it was huge. Every ''trance'' dj's was playing it. I never liked it so much though, so i was getting tired of being played again and again back in time. I'm not into trance music.
    Now due to this interview, i'm hearing their second single ''Body In Motion'' for the first time, and what a fantastic track is this! It's completely different than ''waterfall''. ''Body in motion'' is a house/euro house jam highly uplifting and energetic track, and i cannot forgive myself that i didn't know it before. I need this ''Body in motion'' track on 12''vinyl.
    So i really thank you for this interview that made me discover ''Body in motion'' track.

      @@muzikxpress I was working in the television production/post-production industry in central London/SoHo in the early 90’s. 2 of the 3 guys from the production team who made the video for Waterfall had previously worked as creatives for a very well-known London/West-End advertising agency they left to start their own production company. Waterfall was one of their productions. London’s SoHo was, at that time, home to numerous television & film production & post-production companies & freelancers.

    This track is a DJs dream when it comes to mixing. I remember when Mark Goodier from BBC Radio 1 had a section on his radio show called In The Mix. This track used a lot however the beat they used it could mix with most tracks. It appears on the In The Mix 90s hits CD compilation the end of the tune is mixed with Pulps Disco 2000 (Motiv8 mix). The mix of the two tracks lasts for over a minute. It’s one of my favourites.

      @@trancemaster871 I would love that, but I don't have a travel budget for these vlogs; so I can only do interviews with people that live close to me (south of The Netherlands), or people that have gigs close to where I live. Second problem, I've heard H&H don't work together anymore, I'm not sure if they are on speaking terms even, so yeah..... gonna be a hard one .... But.... I have a LOT of stuff coming up in the next few months, so I'm sure there will be some you like ;-)

      muzikxpress nevermind just always wanted to hear what they had to say about the trance genre as there legends of the scene. So I suppose a bit like Smith and pledger they went separate ways... I'd be up for a ronski speed interview definitely and signum...these interviews are amazing by the way so much information on legendary tracks from the past love hearing about them... 👍

      @@trancemaster871 Ronski Speed is also living in Germany, far from where I live.... I'm in touch with Ron from Signum though for a possible interview somewhere in 2020 (my posting schedule is full already with 1 vlog per week until the end of February!), so hopefully he will say "yes" ;-) Fingers crossed!

    it would be great if you could do an interview with Vincent De Moor, man with no name

    • @muzikxpress

      Oh trust me, I would LOVE to speak to Vincent De Moor. When I was working for Trance.nu, I did speak to him once for like 5 minutes. I met Vincent at the release party of Armin van Buuren's "76" album at Club Asta in The Hague. He agreed on doing an interview for Trance.nu, but .... that never did happen.... I tried to contact him again later, but... nothing :( It seems he completely disappeared from the music scene. He never did a single interview.... So yeah, I would love to speak to him, even if it is just for 10 minutes. I hope he's doing well and I hope he knows that many people all around the world still love his music a lot.

      Im guessing it is partly because of the equipment used back then. Now you can edit forever, with an endless amount of samples and sounds. But maybe back then you only had 'this' many of options, and it wasn't as "drag and drop" easy as now. So you had a way different workflow.
