Plastic looks better on the Bandai one (especially hair) but I think the lack of stickers + pre-printing means this will be my choice if I ever get one of these.
I think this has been the best of these Plamax model kit figures

I'm excited for rei, can't wait to get plamax's version of her.
The top half is actually pretty good but like you said I too am not a fan of how underwhelming the legs are in detail. It's not bad, I would've liked this more if it was the white or classic red plugsuit.
Does anyone know, have Plamax/Max Factory announced any more additions to this line? It's hard to stay on top of the line because it doesn't have a name or any way of distinguishing itself from their other products. Just "Plamax Asuka," "Plamax Power," etc.

I think Anno hates Asuka considering her fate in the End of Evangelion movie and in the final Rebuild movie, lol.

She strikes me as the “girl from another girl” trope subversion. I’d wager Anno dated such a person as a boy and learned that one has problems no matter where they come from.

why cant they make one of these with the old plugsuite? its always the even more oversexulised 2.0 one. relly dont like this version and wish they would use the new or older design

@@kidrobot. Not like the other ones aren’t sexual as well…. Just hate this particular design so bad. It was in the movie for only like 3 min
Coming off honestly, "oversexulised" is a nebulous excuse of critisism and is really suspicious how really focused you are on how sexy it is while trying to treat it like a negative. Just be honest man....
As for what I'm seeing, I'm not noticing anything difference between this and the old 90s series one other than better color theory between the reds and oranges. Makes the suit look flashier and more sol-like.

For my part, I wish they'd do more of her in her... 3.0?... plugsuit, the one that was still mainly red/maroon but with the white highlights. Underrated, that one.
