I love Neco's character designs. Recently got the Figma version for JPY8500. Since it was released first, it didn't come with the alt hairstyle, mask, and some of the weapon option parts, sadly.
Something I would've been interested to see is some size comparisons to other Mecha Musume style model kits, just to see how this kit scales to kits from other lines.
love Neco's design. really want to get the figma lanze reiter but can't find anywhere to get it but if it come to model kits, Imma get it before it's even announced lol
I love Neco's design I have everyone from the figma line. I can't really afford the scale figures and I'm not into static figures but hope to get one someday. This new model kit line also looks promising. If Ichi got made I hope Shi also gets one with an improve loadout seeing as Ichi got an additional sword, hairstyle and face mask with this release.
I saw one of these at a Bic Camera in Tokyo when I was there last month and I said, "I don't need this" but now I want it and USD prices are so much more than if I had just bought it then and there oh well lol
The artist for this series is called Neco, I love his drawings. I pre ordered the Ronin figma last week, I hope that Max Factory makes kits for the Ronin, Lancer and other characters by Neco
For the price it goes for I dont like the design enough. But Im looking forward to seeing max factories future releases in this line, seems like an excellent kit!
I have the figma but I might pick this up just because im a huge fan of neco. I really hope they make the succeeding kits alternate outfits of the figma characters instead of just the figma designs but in model form.
So this is like Figma-esque model kit line. 😍😍 7:53 are there clear lenses in the swappable eye parts? If yes, It do kinda reminds me of HG Fumina kits with moving Doll-eye tracking functionality.
I think the broken english is trying to say she has something similar to the Alaya-Vijnana from IBO. Though what use that will be with static swords is beyond me. Maybe the swords fly around like bits/funnels which would explain why she has so many.
I hate you... I was having doubts about ordering this kit, this review pretty much erased those doubts, sigh. I got the maids ordered, 0 experience with playmax, I guess I'll have to get into this line as well, sigh.
The proportions are much better than the figma. Definitely an improvement. Shame GSC still insists on painting swords on the runner, meaning the gates are unpainted and the whole thing has to be repainted anyway. They did the same with the Moderoid Escaflowne and it was just as useless back then.
I just got this today, thanks for the review I am excited to start mine. Question is she the same size as the figma? I ask cause I saw cool bike for this series, but it is for the figma versions.
Im currently building this kit and it's awesome. However, I do want to paint the black knives and sword... Is it ok to use Gundam Markers? I have GM22 Metallic Gun color but these are alcohol bases and the manual for Ichi states water based paint should be used... I tested it on some runners but I'm afraid of doing it in the parts cause some risk of cracking of weakening the parts Anyone knows if it's ok to use thise markers?
Looks awesome but it's the price stopping me. Its going for like £65 on (about $80) and for me that's a real steep entry price considering how much you get from a gundam in the same price range. I still have soo many MGs and RGs to buy and build so I can't justify that price at the moment.
As someone who was very excited to pick this up and ponied up the $100 ridiculously high price of entry, this kit _sucks_. Nothing about it feels satisfying, faceplates (other than the mask one) are bad, the hairstyles are lazily rendered (ponytail can rotate for example but that causes it to not match up at the rotation point which looks jarring), there is an inexcusable lack of color separation/requisite detail painting for the price, and the pre-painted pieces are numerous and poorly-designed. And yes, I did snap the tie right in half despite knowing it was going to be a problem; that thing is fragile as hell and doesn't even look good anyway due to its "fixed pose." I have never broken a piece on any MD/Nuke Matrix/MS General/ATK Girl kit I've ever built and somehow with this being only the second Plamax kit I've bought, it's also the only other one I've ever broken a piece on. I broke a joint on the Maidroid Miao's skirting armor and there is no conceivable way I can fix it at this point without losing entire levels of articulation. Same goes for the tie; even cement doesn't work because the pre-painted aspect of it leaves it looking obvious. Not sure how Zack pulled it off. I'm done with Plamax stuff; no thanks.
The sword/sheath combos are so MGR Raiden-esque. Love it.
Definitely!
I'm a fan of Neco's designs.
Definitely gonna keep following this line of Heavily armored HS girls kits from plamax.

Woah definitely getting these from figma then model kits DAMN
Something I would've been interested to see is some size comparisons to other Mecha Musume style model kits, just to see how this kit scales to kits from other lines.
TALL~ definitely taller than Megami Decive/ATK/Nuke Matrix. Similar to Frame Arms Girl or the taller MS General characters
@@ZakuAurelius Ah ok, thanks!

she gives off "RULES OF NATURE" vibes.
this looks cool, interested in seeing the next releases in this line
Cool looking figure. I built one of the Kotobukiya figures. I'll never do another lol.

love the box art, wow.

Isn’t their username neco?
Yes neco, they also did racing Miku
@@kirbylittle1 It is, I second guessed myself in the spelling.
😓
Wow it looks really good and now I'm adding it to my ever growing kits I want 😅
Design reminds me of Alpha/Lucia from PGR. The feet looks like from Plume frame and the sword sheath from Crimson Weaver frame. 😀
The split running down the knee piece looks awful when the knees are bent. I can't unsee that

damn....I already bought the figma....

No, there are no clear parts. There is no reason for them to do what they did with the eyes here tbh
I found one online in my locale… damn she expensive
Look super cool

I have the Chitocerim Platinum model kit, is the built similar to this?
I just wish I could find this kit somewhere for a reasonable price...
ah I bought this one from amiami, it's somewhere in pacific ocean..... one day it will get to me.... one day..
The proportions are much better than the figma. Definitely an improvement.

Would love to buy it but it's sold out T_T

Anyone knows if it's ok to use thise markers?
That sheath string is YIKES 😬
its too thin to handle that weight
This whole thing is a mess. So many very poor design choices for such a nice looking conceptual character. Sigh.
Is this cheaper than figma or much more expensive?
A bit more expensive I believe

Is she taller than her figma counterpart?
I’m not 100% sure but I would guess yes! The model kit is quite tall and afaik figma are similar to Megami Device size

Something's bothering me about the eyes and faces...
I think it's the very small pupils and the colors being kinda muted
Yeah they do look a bit off, I agree
Parts seperation probably
I actually have the figma of Ichi so i'll prolly skip this
something not right with her hips
