Hey John! So happy you’re doing well and hope you get the green light soon! Would love to see a video in the future on how to spot a shady supplement company, and maybe list out some companies that you approve and or are your favorites. Thanks!
Ok, I've placed my initial order. Not sure how I came across your channel but I'm very intrigued and feel renewed by your training approach. So much so that in what little time I've been watching I can say I feel I've had better workouts and more "pump" by taking some of your advice. Looking forward to my words of wisdom. At 57, I feel I've wasted a good portion of the last 20 years of my workout but at least I was working out and not sitting on the couch watching TV!!
I'll let everyone on a secret. As someone that used to take a statin and blood pressure meds for many years. It took only about 6 months of going on the keto or low carb/high fat diet to get off of all of them. In fact my LDL now is 41 HDL is 100, triglycerides 54, great bp. I also take some tumeric and anti inflammatory supplements. I know everyone is worried about muscle loss but being in a state of ketosis is muscle preserving and after going at it for a while there are carb cycling techniques you can use to get the health benefits of low carb most of the time while using carbs when you need them for muscle building. Thanks John for your videos as I'm going through a new body transform to get the muscle up. So far lots of your exercise techniques are paying off
I’m glad you’re 100%. Never met you but I really enjoy your videos, they’ve helped me a lot. There’s a certain level of trust that comes from you that I haven’t seen from tens of other bodybuilding “gurus” on the internet. Thank you.
M Dog great to hear you're feeling amazing and just doing better your health is everything your supplements sound great as well looks like Alexander has got his yo-yo pro card good stuff take care much love and respect to you and yours!!!👍😎💯
Love the shout out to Dante! You 2, along with Shelby Starnes and Dave Tate are my "Mount Rushmore" of training and nutrition knowledge.... I still miss Blue Collar Muscle Radio
Glad you're feeling better brother. I had a bit of a heart scare myself so I can relate. I look forward to seeing a lot more content from you. Keep on keeping on.
Finished premium a week ago and have used GX for about 3 workouts and WOW is all I can say. The clarity and pump is insane!!! I still throw in your stim preworkout every now n then when I need a crazy energy boost! All products I’ve used so far are worth every penny
I really appreciate when you go over your supplements with all of us followers. It’s nice to see it every so often as our life situation changes and individual goals. Let us know when and if you are going to do a TRT / enhanced video. I have learned a ton thank you.
RIP John, After the heart attack , wished you could have found a differant Avenel to health, think it was a clear sighn to slow and change your game, Please those headed in the same direction take note John is gone now. Rest in peace Brother.
Thanks John for the information on supporting heart and kidney health. I’m glad that you are feeling better after your heart attack. I'm going to try the Ubigunol. As I had a heart transplant and I’m always looking to improve my ejection fraction on my new heart.
John the heart supplements you are recommending buddy are 100 % spot on, I started the heart journey almost 5 years ago and take almost exactly the same . I am in the UK and its interesting to hear that my cardiologist recommended the same thing AND the Q10 for Statin users is a MUST I was also told . Your advice is second to none so anybody watching can be sure it is good sound advice . All the best from the UK to you and your family, and keep the recovery coming on . In a couple of years you will actually think it happened to somebody else !
Doctors never diagnosed me with anything regarding my heart. I feel I have issues when I was a teenager they said I had angina which they said was nothing to worry about but maybe it is after all. So even though they're not trying to worry about my heart I still am. This info is very helpful John and I appreciate it!!
Hopefully you feel so much better soon! Our dog developed a heart issue so I ended up researching and found the same supplements, she has perked up so much! If you are looking for any foods in particular, we added dark turkey meat (I personally feel great with it) and scallops for taurine and beef heart for coq10 (yeah it's not my favorite to eat...). Along with beets, lots of cruciferous veg, the d-ribose etc it's not as fun for us to eat as it is for her but hopefully worth it :).
Hi John, could you do a video on “The pump” ? What is it ? How does it feel? How to achieve it, are there any studies supporting it or is it bro science ? If it does work, what are exercises and techniques to increase the pump ? Thanks for all your knowledge!
Coupla suggestions.........Try using grape seed extract instead of pycnogenol, it should be cheaper and contain more procyanidins, I believe, and also maybe 8 to 10 milligrams of folic acid......cheap and very good for your heart!! Great video, BTW!!
Dave from Quads recommended your premium pre-workout and I must say it’s probably one of the best I’ve taken so far. I’m planning on sticking to this brand for all my needs!!
John I went to the True Nutrition web site and they didn’t have Astragalus. Then I went to Amazon and found a product exactly like the one you held up but it is the Vitamin Shoppe brand. I may give it a try as my GP doctor and urologist where a little concerned about my slightly low GFR. In fact they both strongly suggested I stop taking any Creatine products because they are “very bad for people”.
Hey, John! You’ve put me on to a handful of great supplements that are now part of my regimen. I’m very curious about your thoughts on Resveratrol supplementation. Thanks for all the great content!
Thanks John very informational 👍🏽probably going to try some of your protein!like how you keep everything honest and true about supplements so many out there! How go you feel about Collagen?
Hey John, awesome stack 👍🏻 I was diagnosed with angina a few years ago so I'll definitely look into the carnitine now 👍🏻 Awesome yo yo trick as always Alexander 👊🏻😉
John! Thanks you for another amazing video! Glad to hear you're feeling better you look fantastic! I'd like to know your take on green/greens suppliments? On top of all the meat an rice I have a hard time getting in the veggies
Hi John, glad to know about your health updates. You always look healthy and in great shape and I happy to know that you are in good health. I really really wanted to buy the intra workout carb supplement by Granite here at India. I was wondering if you got any suppliers here? Lots of respect to you and your programs they are filled with knowledge and experience.. Thanks
Hey John Thanks for the video. Regarding the supplements you have just spoke about have you got these in a list written down? The Yo-yo combo was outstanding!
i would love to try Granite supplements, but as a non-US citizen, the delivery costs more than the supplements themselves. Would it be amazing if there could be some sales where there would be no shipping!
Glutamine and Glycine are very important amino acids that are missing in the ESSENTIAL AMINOS supplement. At least there is Threonine which does create Glycine in the body once consumed.
I feel ubiquinol gives something as pre-work out. Don't know why. It's a thing trainer told me to try. And I always thought magnesium supp as heart support. PS I always been rubbish with yoyo . Your son might end up in championship.re_ps: oh so you have no plaque? It means you've been very careful with magnesium. Good to know. Heart attack survivors are prone to live and survive way easier than others kinda similar issues. Cheers. A big fan of yours ,Martin.
As sort of a “kill two birds with one stone” comment much of what you are doing will also compliment your kidneys. As you know heart/kidney/vascular health goes hand in hand. Many of these bbers who died of heart issues also had kidney issues. The ones who passed of kidney issues also had heart issues. It was just a matter of which organ failed first but the performance of one impacts the other greatly. What pycnogenol can do illustrates this point.
Good lord the man himself. I, as I'm sure many others do as well, miss the training and training related videos on your channel. Make a come back hoss.
Thanks for sharing. I noticed you didn't say anything about creatine. I'm fairly new to bodybuilding and I've been hearing good things about creatine, in particular monohydrate. I've been adding 5grams to my post workout protein shake and have starting taking 3 grams after breakfast on rest days. I just wanted to ask you what your thoughts are on creatine, especially after your heart attack. Thanks
Great video. But how do you (average consumer) know when you found a good supplement company? Can you give us some tips on researching a supplement company?
