If people never resorted to violence to protect or worse yet promote what they believe is true then I believe the one truth would emerge. But of course the blame belongs to all religions at one time or the other. I think if we all listened to this professor's teachings on religion we might stand a chance.
Thank you for these videos - you are an excellent teacher and I learn a lot from your series. In this video you compare how the Quran is considered by Muslims as being the direct word of God vs. Christians whose scriptures are written by men. This is not the case. The Christian tradition views scripture as “God breathed” or “inspired” by God - much as the wind fills the sails of a ship and causes it to move upon the water. See Timothy 3:16 “All Scripture is God-breathed ....” Sometimes God spoke directly to the author which you can see in passages like Exodus 17:14, Ezekiel 24:2, and Revelation 14:13 where the author is told, “Write this down.” So similar to Islam - Christians consider scripture to be the word of God.
Thank you for enlightening us, Prof Bolland. GBU
Thank you Tasha! 🙏🏼

Thanks Tim. It is a dream that some of us have-that peace is possible. And the tools we need to build it are lying all around us in plain view.
