Lithium batteries go by number of charge cycles. not how many times you plug it in. Its perfectly fine to plug in every night. Lithium batteries are extremely durable. My S20 ultra is charged every night 3 years old still has 90% of its original capacity.
How can you See how much did you batterie capacity have ?
@@patrycjachryc2823 yeah how do see it
You mentioned charging over night was a bad idea. I'd love to see a video about charging Do's and Don'ts.
Newer pixel phones have an adaptive charging option, so you can leave it plugged in overnight, while it has a charging profile that will maintain the longevity of the battery life.
Just use adaptive battery
@@tuck28 Not only pixel phones. My 5 year old Mate 20 Pro has it as well. I think most phones do nowadays.
Charging overnight isn’t a bad idea. I have optimized battery charging on and only charge overnight. My battery health is 100% still on my IPhone 13 Pro, the thing that hurts your battery is wireless charging.
@@Jason_Cardoza Is wireless charging really damage ur battery ? ,But i agree with changing overnight is okay i have charged it for 4yrs and still working about 10hrs.
Yesterday I got my Pixel 7a for $72. Nothing beats that haha
I still have the 6a, so I don't really think it's worth the money to upgrade yet
Yeah, the 6a is still a great phone.
I want to buy a 6a any advice bro ? Is it good does it have any problems?
@@fares3939 check the modem, if it uses the same as the regular 6 then you might have signal problems
The 7a will probably be the last of the A series - according to reports
I got mine today, 😊very enjoyable and nice
What charging cable do you use (where you see the charging speed)?
You're actually incorrect about that night charging since most phones nowadays make use of "optimized or Wise" night charging which charges the phone to 80% normally, and then wait with the rest until you're about to wake up.
Many users are saying that there ia a lot of heating issue in pixel 7a. Are also you facing the same problem in your unit?
My experiences with charging overnight show no difference in battery lifespan. I purposely slow charge on a slow wireless charger that has a fan.
just got mine in to review! just a small bit of feedback.... batteries and software have come a long way since 2019... plugging your phone in overnight has little to zero impact on battery health. great content.
I can't wait for mine to show up, loved my pixel 6 but gave it up because my brother needed a new phone
i agree with the bad speakers on this phone - i recently purchased it on sale. so to listen to Music out loud at work, i use my Samsung Galaxy S23
I bought a new 6A with my carrier 2 weeks ago for $199, they gave me $150 trade in for my 4A.... So $49 dollars out of pocket, I'll wait for the 8A or 9A before upgrading again.
Should've waited
@@akirakurusu4309 No, the 6A is good enough for me at $199
@@thomasward00 Eh, I mean, if it works for you, sure, assuming you aren't heavy on photography or speed. 7a's 2x zoom and 90hz refresh rate will definitely help it stay fresh in the long run. Also, there's been rumors that this is the last A-series, and if that proves true you'll have to go for the 8 or 9.
Probably my next phone purchase
With photography as the priority, would you go 7a or 8? I know on paper the 8 has better hardware, but I'm wondering if the real world image quality reflects that.
I hope due to the 7 and 7a being so close specs-wise means the standard pixel 8 gets specs closer to the "pro" model.
Or pixel "a" models will be removed
Apparently the 8 has better specs than the 7 series. However, this will come at a cost as in it will be more expensive
Still happy with my 7 Pro but man oh man am I tempted by the Fold.
I am thinking of getting this how long does it get android support for?
About 3 years of Android Support and 5 years Securitys
@@patrycjachryc2823 awesome thanks just ordered the charcoal one
The Tensor is everything but not efficient. The 7a has a really bad standby time. As usual for an exynos
In Australia pixel 7a costs $749 AUD. Paid review completely changed the definition of value. What the hell!!!!
So you tell us this phone is perfect, no battery life issue, great SoT, no overheating when shooting photos or videos on long time term or playing games for 1 hour ?🤔🧐
Pixel 7, Pixel 7a...i don't know...
what is the name of the controller?
Exactly. I cannot find the name. I am surprised i cant recognize it.
I said the same thing last year, and I'm gonna release the same tear this year, and that is, don't buy a series, the pixel 5a was $399 then they went to $449 which I said was pretty expensive for mid range and considering that their a series come out almost a year later with the standard one going on discount for the similar price or slightly cheaper, it's Google fault for cannabilizing their own sales, to make the a series look valuable they will raise the price of the pixel 8 and 8 pro my guess would be $649-$749 for pixel 8 and $999 for the 8 pro. Google shouldn't have made the a series as the a series being release a year later almost can be found for $399-$449 why pay more for waterdown version why not just make $449 the regular price of pixel 7 and $699 for the 7 pro, honestly the pro needs to become more pro the differences are no minimal the difference from pixel 7 to 7 pro is pretty much the difference between the 7a and 7
I actually felt the speaker was good and you get the night charging which doesn't charge your phone past 80 and will charge only after you wake up.
Better to buy pixel 7 over this
The Pixel 7a is sooo good. Buy it !
The 7 is the true king. you can find it for the same or cheaper than the 7a!
the value king is pixel 7 or Galaxy S22 from last year which cost nearly as much but overall better phones than 7A
Charge my iphone every night for the last 10 months and it's still at 100 percent battery health
All they have to do is fix the camera on this phone and it will be a no brainer. We have had a few being returned to our store because the camera just dies and does not work, load, or function. It is $299.99 where I work so best phone in the store basically. Wish Apple had a good mid ranger
I just don't see the point when you can get a regular Pixel 7 for a bit more with non of the P7a drawbacks.
Pixel 7a has more megapixels to work with, more detail
@Akira Kurusu that's 1 advantage. Not worth the drawbacks everywhere else.imo.
@@j.d.5709 Plastic will resist shattering, it is lighter, can be removed with a heat gun easier than with glass if you ever need to DIY any repair. Not a fan of glass body phones because glass is glass and glass breaks. It is structurally more rigid too, in other words has less flex than the 7 and 7 pro that a toddler could snap in half because of a defective design that was fixed on the 7a. Unbiased as a user, I do not own a smartphone, I do fix them sometimes though. From that bias it seems a better buy.
I like a good plastic. It's lighter.
Is it right to say that 7a camera is better than 7 and will be even more better due to the new sensors ?
It still scrolls with a slight stutter, like nearly all Android phones. Coming from an iPhone to Android, the overall smoothness is just lacking. iPhones are just smoother and snappier.
Surprising about the poor speaker quality, I find my 6a is excellent.
A fantastic phone for this price range. The charging speed could have been better but I'm sure this phone charges faster than most people's iphone 😅
I need the wallpapers guys. Can anyone help?
Learn to use Google instead of crying here like a little baby. :)
Who outside of tech UA-camrs would call these "chunky bezels"? Seriously?
Idk.. a 100$ mode , and you can get the 7 at the moment
My pixel 6a is a solid device so not worth the upgrade to 7a. I don't know what you people do on your phones I can get 2 days easy on my 6a almost 3 days
If they could just fix the battery. Come on a 4,000mAh unit should be doing better
Grommet 😂
It’s too expensive to be a value king. The 6a is the real value champ. It’s 230 bucks Amazon renewed or 349 new.
I wonder why Google still don't manage to use symmetrical bezels on their screen. Honestly, Nothing phone (1) more premium looks than this.
Cost cutting measure
Who even uses phones without earbuds?! You got a pair free. Use them, bro!
I don't carry earbuds whereever I go. And I don't like having earbuds constantly in my ears either. I use phone speakers a lot.
Same. I don't even like earbuds lol. It's either phone speaker, bluetooth speaker or real ass headphones.
Where ia "value" when is 500€?? 550€ it costs pixel 7 with minor bumps in spec. Not worth at all. Last valie for money was Pixel 3A & 4A.
The Pixel 4a was $100 cheaper in 2020 at $350 USD, but it also had a pretty low end snapdragon 730g and 6gb of ram. The 7a is $450 USD, but you're getting actual flagship performance with that tensor g2 chip. I would argue that the 4a was budget oriented whereas the 7a is targeted towards upper midrange.
In any case, if you don't want to pay the $450 now, just wait a couple months and google will no doubt drop the price by $50-$100 😂
The 3a, 4a, and 5a had terribly slow chipsets. The 6a and 7a are much closer to flagships with midrange prices, therefore good dollar to performance ratio.
I'll simplify things for you:
Pixel 4a at $299 had a mediocre chipset, no wireless charging, dim display and horrible battery life, and no future proofing in connectivity (lacks 5g), but people still considered great because of pixel UI and its camera software.
Pixel 7a is 90% of the pixel 7, but at 83% of the cost. In simple terms, the 7a has excellent value. People are just upset because it's just not a budget phone anymore. We can call it a "flagship killer" now and still the affordable version of the Pixel lineup.
Yes, the base 8 will go up in price closer to the Pro versions. The 7 and 6 were too cheap in order to break into the market.
The tensor G2 performs well enough to be considered a high end chipset and wins many battles against the competition if you nitpick the contest (I'm taking about real world and not synthetic benchmarks).
@@segarrarioswireless charging for 7.5W, that is bullshit. A flagship offering 18W charging is bullshit. Battery performance is bad, heating issues are there. Pixel 7a is just a phone which has a software which has better software than others, and camera is debatable as per the reviews i have seen. It is a no no for the price it sells right now
4a had an amazing form factor, this one is the same brick as the 7 and only 100 euro difference. 193g.
4 and 4a had a bigger price gap.
