There is no doubt that split enz is the greatest band to ever come out of New Zealand not baring of course the great dragon and the Hunter boys. Split enz was such an inspiration to me in so many ways I cannot describe. I’m Australian but the enz were my favourite all time band when I was growing up. They are legendary to me,my love of maritime history due to six months in a leaky boat had changed my life when I was a teenager in the 80s and 90s. The eternal sound of another great divide still spurs me to go adventuring,I don’t know why it just has that amazing historical feel like six months in a leaky boat. And what can I say about give it a whirl it’s brilliant and can lift you above some of the shit we face in today’s world. Play it to a friend who’s down and say give it a whirl which means why not try something new,hence give it a whirl. Inspirational stuff split enz with many good and deep feeling New Zealand lads who were very triumphant in achieving their goals. GIVE IT A WHIRL !!!
