Omg that was absolutely beautiful. It made me think of my mom. She just passed on June 26th, two days after she turned 96! She was all these things. She stayed home and raised 6 kids. My Dad was a mailman during the day and a bartender at night. Never had a day off because if he had a day off, he still worked the night job. Big meal every night and everything was home made. Anyway, I could go on. Thanks for this. I'm going to send it to my sister's. ✌️❤️😭

It would be great for you guys to react to another Bette Midler song. There is a performance she did for Johnny Carson when he retired from the Tonight Show. The song is called "One More For My Baby". She credits Johnny Carson for helping her establish her career. I foubd out afterwards, but from 1999-2001 I worked onaTV show. One of the executive producers, the only oneI never met, was Sandy Gallin. At the ebd ofthe show was a production card for Sandollar Entertainment. Sandy Gallin was the Sand and Dolly was the Dollar. In 2014, Dolly waved at me in a parking lot on the Warner Brothers Studio lot. Yes, I did look and there was no one behind me. LOL

My family and I have been going through a tough time over the past year or so and this really resonated with me. Check out "The Grass is Blue" from Dolly's bluegrass album and "The Bridge," one of her early and controversial hits from 1968. Both are beautiful storytelling written by Dolly and beautifully sung. As for movies, you cannot beat 9 to 5 - three legends!

Interesting note about this song. She wrote this for steel magnolias but it was rejected because the director didn't want anyone confusing Dolly the actor with Dolly the Singer. Suggesting that it would take away from the movie.
