Keep in mind that the Philips CD-I Was mostly a multimedia CD player, being a game console was just one of it's functions.
What games does it play
@@baconhairpro9288not that many as it performed poorly and was very limited
I like how the oldest consoles have the best start-ups, but then as the future tags along, it's like if you blink, you miss it...
Is it just me but start up screens offer a morbid curiosity.

12:15 that music is so peaceful
The exaggerated 3d spinning on the megaCd ones doe
I had a friend from Japan in the first grade with a Mega CD, and the Sonic on the startup scared me so damn much D:
You mean Sonic CD? It is also still today still the best Mega CD game of all times!
No, on the 2nd Mega CD startup, there’s a Sonic there.
Damn Sonic is not scary. Sonic is just on your back. He will not kill you.
Tom Long84 yeah, when I see the MEGA-CD startup, it gives me a lot of nostalgia, I remember all those evenings playing Sonic, PS3 and Wii 😭😭😭
12:40 That's the part when your heart stops when the PS2 is reading the disc
Natan Maxwell ahahahahahah
Exactly
Natan Maxwell you will be in the game or hell
Or when it goes to that creepy red screen if it can't read the disc.
Natan Maxwell sounds like SEGA sonic mania adventures start with the SEGA logo but more distorted
omg, the playstation 1's startup sound brings a shit ton of nostalgia even though i never grew up with it
i've only used the playstation 1 in an emulator and even that was enough to turn me into a fanboy..truly was one of the _best consoles ever, no doubt_
11:21... damn...
That was the golden age of Sony's surge up to console market. And become too equal to my favorite console
The PS2 startup is low quality too.
The memories hit me hard
@@TomKiyosakiLong make the Sega mega CD intros like that too
THX
This video touches my heart
Oh man, I LOVE the *Nintendo Please Set Disk Card*!!! It's my favourite console
You mean Famicom Disk Drive?
The Dreamcast was my favorite and is my favorite console of all time
Mine is ps3
Dreamcast NA and EU versions are visually very nice.
3:15 is seriously catchy
I loved Dreamcast so much, a lot of time playing with that console, its games are awesome!
Sega sure was proud of those console start ups.
11:21 The best startup in the history!! Epic
TheJabulani42 the best start-up is no start up because they are a waste of time
I'd prefer the PS2 startup
I'd prefer the PS2 Startup
TheJabulani42 i
King Bradberry Startups are for a way to hide the long loads of consoles
8-bit music is magical.
I was born in 2000 and these are memorable somehow like the ps1
12:40 My favorite startup of all time
the SEGA CD 2 intro is very nostalgic for me.
halo3odst yeah :'v
definitely digging the notations on this video because of how much they make sense in sentence form.
I dunno why, but I really like the CD-I intro
Maybe the music?
Maybe the yt poops?? 😜
holy crud that PS4 logo looks awesome! it's like they used a bit of the original PS1 start-up sound in their start-up! mannn! what a throwback!
Sega's Best Start up Sound Ever at 6:45
12:38 *nostalgia intensifies*
great compilation Thank you
12:39 goosebumps and my favorite console!
the most Majestic console startup are without doubt the PSX/PS2/SATURN/DREAMCAST/GC and Neo geo ones
What? No, the first Playstation was known as the PSX before 2 ever came out. Now they have to say PS1 for clarity's sake. Hollowoxdt1 was correct when he called it the PSX.
Xbox
I still remember the day i found my old ps1 after 11 years of thinking it was gone when our old house flooded and it still works
PS1 intro FTW!
And always will
Ps1 90’s kids unite
Dom Dom it’s epic no doubt
I love the startup but I play Xbox because yes
The more games you played on ps2.. the more boxes showed up. The further you got in a game... the higher that particular box was
LOVE THE PS2
Dave G yeah
Same
Dave G *cough*RSOD*cough*
Nickie Davis rsod is rare
Dave G yeah
Brought back memories of my mum's stories about her brother owning like sega and Nintendo systems.
since u have 99 subs, I subbed u and happy 100 subs!
Can we talk about how the Sega CD/Mega CD has like 50 million different themes.
I just now realized that Vektroid used the CDTV boot screen art on the cover of the New Dreams LTD album. It's so weird to see it in it's original context here..
They can't call it Sega Mega-CD in North America due to trademark issues with the Mega Drive name.
I got chills with Playstation
vaporwave
PooP ViN The Chavo del Ocho in persons
A E S T H E T I C
all the sega cd startups at 800% slowed
6:04 SO *DAMN* CATCHY!
PSX (PS1), Neo-Geo and Dreamcast have the best intros and sound
PSX was the PS2 special edition. Not PS1.
Psygnozis and games!
Psx is ps1
Also great startup first Xbox and it are equals in startups
Does anyone else agree that SEGA back in the early 90s had too much fun with their animations?
This is some dope ass vaporwave material
Me encanto!
Mega cd would make great vaporwave
In 12:13 that wasn't for the console, it was made for these devkits that SEGA made that been sent out to game developers.
So basically Japan & Asia got the same intro as with the US.
missed the Sega Genesis one!!! segaaaaaaaa!!!!!
that Panasonic one is so freaking long I would change my mind about playing it
Thanks
My favorite is probably the Neo Geo.
I used to live next to an arcade and we would hear the Neo Geo jingle when they opened
He forgot the startup screen that the PS 2 uses when loading a PS 1 game.
01:12 vaporwave
12:38 I miss the old days ps2 and ps1 were the best games
the mega cd one reminds me of back to the future
Neo geo and PlayStation 1 will always be the best start ups imo. Nostalgia
I never liked the Sega CD v1.0 intro music, but the Mega CD music is awesome, and I’m quite fond of Attract Mode (Sega CD v2 music).
Ps2 intro omfg 😥😥😥 nostalgia is real
5:43 Oh yeah ! So groovy ! So funky ! So cool I've danced in front of my computer ! Hello the NSA !
Good ol' days :(
No sound for Atari Jaguar?
(The first one)
Noticed that too.
True. I didn´t hear the sound of Jaguar too
For a long time, my console no longer comes out sound.
The sound chip is damaged since 2001. And since 2015 it is completely broken (black picture)!
There are hardly any spare parts and they are still damn expensive.
because you could buy a 4-5 PS4 Games ..
Just like my 3rd Sega Dreamcast with these teething troubles.
it does actually have sound
12:59 where the memes begin
I just think it's cool that you can think about something, wonder if there's a video on UA-cam about it, and then find it.
God, the cdi boot screen feels like the intro to an infomercial about joint pain medication.
Please help, I’m being hypnotized by exaggerated Sega CD spinning and the same music throughout all of it for 7 minutes!
Wow the ps3 boot sound is so cool
the mega cd intro forces me to cry
When that PS1 hits
The Fujitsu Marty one was as harsh as Minecraft music times 10 XD
The FM Towns Marty Has was already a power processor from a PC in the year 1991.
CPU: AMD 386SX at 16 MHz
Memory: 2 MB
Display: 352 x 232 - 640 x 480 of resolutions, 256 colors on screen out of a palette of 32 768
Sound: 6 channel FM (Yamaha YM2612)
8 channel PCM (Ricoh RF5c68)
But was not so bad for a console, only the games were something strange at that time for West.
The predecessor model "FM Towns" for PC which one better even on operating system could go to Win95!
It was named Mega cd in eu and jp But in the us it was named Sega cd because of copyright issuess
mega cds you spin me right round baby right round
the play station start up sound gave me the creepers
I love amiga cd32 start up +.+
1:00 your worst nightmare
I actually like the CDI startup, but not the system.
+TomBom292 ikr?
Game title | what you have to do in game
Hotel Mario-Close all doors.
Faces of Evil-See his house.
The Sega CD 2 soundtrack is nice!
I can just imagine sodapoppin reacting to the fm towns marty console startup
that is so loud
Kind of sad when at a certain point we go from Sega, Nintendo, NeoGeo, Phillips to only Nintendo Sony and Microsoft. Like an era that's gone
I think the North American Sega CD startup is the best!
I really liked this compilation, but it made me sad that the Turbo Grafx CD startup screen wasn't included.
Aced the PS3 Startup, but the original XBOX... Never seen that
12:13 that is the Dreamcast Development Kit startup
Sega has the best startups.
Young Link but not even close
Michael the Legendary Super Human. I will rather eat a shit than have to listen to that everyday!
PlayStation has the best startups*
I think by best he means longest.
But the longest
So many Sega Consoles
We got like whole tons of minutes about Sega CD.
Man the mega cd intros seemed to take for ever
Why doesn't the Jaguar have it's sound?
the classic days were the classic days
the sega cd 2 intro forces me to dance
why didnt you just call this Sega CD startups. I thought there was just one but apparently there's 20.
True that.
Well... You certainly covered the Mega CD
Fm Towns Marty get my ears.
The SEGA Mega (drive) CD had meany different BIOS versions with all different intros and boot screens!
The PS1 still sounds higher quality than recent consoles.
Treetops97 OoF

*swooshing intensifies*
Sega’s startups were nothing short of symphonic to my 🧒 ears.
I hate that my Goldstar 3DO has a startup screen with no audio.
the american sega cd 2.0 sounds like a song from doom!
ps1 and 2 startup soud is fucking monumental
Love the PS1 startup
12:40 every time the ps2 is on I always ran out of the room XD
