    I'm 11:14 in. Ethan flats K9s sb vs Landon Btn Open A6o. His statement of " I definitely have more 7x " I believe is 100% incorrect. Am I wrong? What do you guys think?

    • @tomignacios3668
      @tomignacios3668 3 роки тому +3

      Agreed he’s incorrect. Landon has a lot more 7x on the btn than a sb flatting range does.

    • @jambasket211
      @jambasket211 3 роки тому

      He may be correct if he’s referring to how likely his range is to hold a 7 rather than just an overall count of 7’s. An overall count of 7’s is effectively meaningless, but you’ll see players constantly mention such a metric. Given a SB flatting range vs a BTN open may be very tight, while it may not contain a large number of 7x combinations, it also doesn’t contain a bunch of non-7x which means that his range could be more dense in 7x than the BTN range. However, I doubt Ethan was referring to this and instead just effectively misspoke in game.

    • @tomignacios3668
      @tomignacios3668 3 роки тому +1

      JamBasket Poker I don’t think ethans sb range contains more 7x than the btns opening range.. He has like 78 suited, 67suited really

    • @jambasket211
      @jambasket211 3 роки тому +1

      @@tomignacios3668 Of course he doesn't have a higher count of 7x than the BTN. However, as I mentioned above, having a higher count of a combo isn't meaningful. What matters is how likely you are to hold a combination relative to your opponent.
      For an extreme example, say BTN opens 100% of hands and the BB calls with only 55 and 76s. On a 77x flop, while the BTN has a higher count of 7's (A7, K7, Q7, etc), the BB's range is tighter, and therefore makes it far more likely that they hold a 7, in this case, a 25% chance, compared to the BTN's chances of probably 5-10%.

      The commentary is the action you idiot. You'd be the type of person to watch a documentary and complain about there not being enough stunts.
