Here's an interesting fact WrestleMania 20 is the only show that featured both ex WCW wrestlers walking out of WrestleMania as world champions. Chris Benoit and Eddie Guerrero both left as world heavyweight and WWE champions.

Chris Benoit won at Wrestlemania 20 via submission, was an underdog, had a huge ovation at the end of the match. Daniel Bryan did the same thing with the same move 10 years later. That's amazing
Leo Gonzalez .. I wish if the world Heavyweight Championship was still there , they could put it on CM Punk [If he had not left] . And , we could see the same Eddie Guerrero-Chris Benoit moment .

This was about the time I started watching wrestling. I was only about 9or 10 years old, and I was instantly hooked. John Cena lifting Big Show and winning the US title. Chris Jericho vs Christian with the trash betrayal. That insane cruserweight gauntlet match. Deadman undertakers return. Eddie winning in the most clever way, and the triple threat is in my top 5 favorite matches of all time. Sucks what happened with Benoit and his family. The tragedy means they will probably never air him winning the belt. Regardless of that, this is by far my favorite wrestlemania.
I know haha Benoit and all that. But this is legit my favourite 'Mania of all time, my former favourite wrestler of all time, Benoit, winning it at the big one, becoming the top man in the business at the time. It's just fucking raw emotion. It's a shame this match can't be talked about these days.
While that #1 fact is true, it could have been worded better to be an even more "fascinating fact". When Benoit made Triple H tap out, it wasn't just the first time Wrestlemania ended in submission. It was the FIRST TIME EVER that anyone had ever tapped out in ANY Wrestlemania match. Even the most iconic Submission match in history between Bret and Austin never had anyone tap out. It took 20 years, but Benoit making Triple H tap out was the first time a match ended by submission in Wrestlemania history.

Shawn Michaels vs Chris Benoit vs Triple H is one of the all time greatest Wrestlemania main events. And then Benoit didn't get help when, in retrospect, he clearly needed it and now his life's work is forever tarnished.
anyone else remember Ultimo Dragon slipping over twice during his entrance in the cruiserweight open match? also, my biggest question about wrestlemania 20 is, why was triple h in white boots? I don't think he ever wore them again, I just remember it looking kinda weird
Hunter was going through a attire change phase. From 2002-2004. He wore black football looking tights. Red and Purple trunks, and occasionally....White boots, at ppvs. Some think it was a nod to Flair. But, I'm not seeing it.

An honourable mention for the fascinating facts for this Wrestlemania 20 list: Trish Stratus' heel turn after the match between Chris Jericho and Christian was a last minute idea. In a podcast interview with Steve Austin a few years ago, Stratus said (I think) that Jericho was originally meant to go over in his match with Christian, which was part of the love-triangle story line, and that he and Stratus would finally get together and go on to become an on-screen comical babyface couple. However, on the day of Wrestlemania 20, Vince McMahon approached Stratus and said "I got an idea..." and pitched the heel turn. I don't recall why this idea was pitched, and why so late in the day, but everyone seemed happy with the idea, and that's what played out at the PPV.

The fans really didn't like Shawn segued into the main event; watch it again, he was booed every time he wanted their support. It was only done because Paul & Shawn wanted to headline.
