Great setup. My archer was Arycelle and she had Snipe Bracers, which gave me extra Blessing of Swiftness charges to get off the ground. The valkyrie was Ravness, for her amazing speed. Adding in one of Ganpp's gryphons and my extra touch, a Lord Denam with Ease+heals+Blessing of Swiftness (no offensive abilities), I got it the first try. It's a huge benefit that the AI completely ignores buffs - especially Blessing of Swiftness.
Why drag politics into this? Tolerance is about putting up with people you disagree with, it isn't only being humane to people who agree with you. I'm very disappointed, this community could be very healthy if people kept their venom for people they disagree with out of it.
I brought Ogre Lord Denam solo(did Blackmoor and CH 2 CODA in the same POTD run), crowd controlled the Denam doppelganger with the free Para Wave and Torpor from the Ogre Set and killed Rodrick while the doppelganger looked on. Also gave him Petriburst for extra CC.
Its even easier if you bring summon2 and charm their denam. the fight is instantly over, you can fly over the gap with denam so you don't even have to risk warren getting even close to him.
This guy was super easy for me, go in with a Melee focus Denam Lord, specifically with cursed daggers human crushing, berserk, mighty impact, double attack, mediate IV, other characters are a Canopus Beastmaster with no weapons equipped with Lobber and full heal pots, and a powerful caster like Deneb Wicce or bodysnatched wizard with massive MND stat and charm only equipped. Everyone goes right to meet up with Warren, when your wizard/caster gets into range, charm the opposing Denam and Rodrick wont last more then one turn after that. The AI will never use the charm spell since they never use status ailment magic unless it can do damage on top of it and enemy Canopus will not be able to help Rodrick before he gets tag teamed by the Denams.
This video was very helpful, tho I didn't follow it exactly. I took denam, a cleric, Wicce deneb with only debuff spells and an unarmed beast master with debuff items. The fight proved not to be that bad since only denam, warren and roddy could attack on the enemy team. Also, a side note; I don't know if there's been an update to change it, but he did drop the ogre blade for me.
So it turned out the early data coming out when this video was coming out was wrong, the drop chance is just very low. Debuffs definitely help in every situation, I just like the consistency of the bird approach.
I deployed with a similar strat in mind but instead of stinky Phaesta I used Stinky Dark Priest Catuia because I learned against Blackmoor that her bloody gag will silence boss units so that was an additional level of mitigation that helped 👍
My fun story for today: I was trying to recruit Ocionne and waiting for her conversation with Jeunan to finish and the boss killed himself with an AoE.
@@CoffeePotato I was on AI because they usually leave the boss til later, then went to manual when they started attacking him. I healed him to about half health because he had made a melee attack and I didn't want him to die to a counter. I thought it was safe because I haven't seen the AI hit its own units very often, but he walked into a group of 3 of my units and nuked himself.
So many things to keep your attention. Keep everyone talking alive and also the stupid boss, and the pesky undeads that need exorcising. It's just an annoying map. Maybe coffeetater could share some of his tried&tested cheese for this quest.
Oh man, I didn't know Rodrick doesn't drop the Ogre Blade this time around. I purposefully did the Blackmoor fight to focus on the rarer Ogre drops (armor, helm, etc.) "knowing" I'd just pick up the Ogre Blade with Rodrick--which I've saved right before fighting him. Ugh...
Ngl, Floor 115 is more of a puzzle instead of a fight imo. Like sure, the battle can be tough, but once you can work out the strat (which there's plenty of solution for), it's become more of a game of chess lol. Especially since even solo Lord Denam strat can be used here with some adjustments.
My first playthrough is only missing Hanging Gardens. I'm on neutral route and I have recruited Azelstan but should I got to Palace of the Dead and recruit Deneb first or should I just complete and come back with world tarot? I would like to complete the game and take a little break but just thinking if Deneb and early POD would help finish final dungeon faster?
My strat was using two gryphons with dash to distract the clones. I barely did it, my catiua almost one shotted Warren with wisplight 2 lol. In turn I two shotted good old rodrick with cerya and catiua. It is kinda funny that the smartest guy in lore is such a dumb guest lol, if Warren played liked a proper mage the fight would be so much easier. Also the last coda 4 fight is really hard, I did it,but it was a mess, lot of blessing Stones used lol.
I think they try to establish several times that he's a genius at certain things, but kind of bad at fighting. Like MOTBQ his idea of picking a leader is "who can 5 V 1 an old man? Surely this is a great test."
@@CoffeePotato oh.. neutral i see Just so hard to get to nybeth... the zombie night destroys my casters trying to target nybeth. And nybeth destroys my tanks with his aoe spells.

How's it an issue? All it caps is basically the equivalent of your old class level. It means nothing other than being unable to curb stomp in some situations. Your charms, skills, and abilities work just fine, it' more of a sanity check than an actual hard cap on anything meaningful. Remember this is still a game that can be beaten at level 1 at it's core. Post game enemies are running around in the 70s while you're capped at 50, but are easier than the 40s encountered here. They're set dressing and psychological fiddling, nothing more.
A set of equipment that mentions an unpleasant odor in its description dropped at 34+ in PotD. Makes units not target you in melee and much less likely to stop near the wearer, like a less effective Sanctuary.

True, it's kinda nice, I see why they went this way after doing Cressida today. Nice not to lose half the team to debuffs immediately.

ez cheeze running double hit Lord denam, a healer and a charm debuff bot all with blink items
I love how many answers this puzzle has

Yeah, that part is absolutely annoying. I struggled keeping that stupid necromancer alive. So much trouble in that map.
Sounds like I have another guide to add to the list. Sounds like a job for knights and silencer ninjas with shortbows, though.

Wouldn't sleeping Warren keep him off the AI's radar? The AI won't want to break CC and he stays safe and out of it. Edit: Nvm. Boss immunity
That end bit bothered me. Palace of the Dead is already taxing let alone capping your level only to 40.
