So, it was honestly really interesting. The people who said they couldn’t afford life were people who worked in the service industry. :/ I wish we could have shown the full conversations with some of these people cause it was fascinating, if not sad in some circumstances. One took care of the elderly, and another served tables that said it was too expensive for them to live here.
Hey Aubree thanks for the video. Do you mind sharing the link of the actual website that has the information on vehicle taxes? You mentioned it in your vid but it looks like you might have missed to add it to the description.
@@aubree_lewis thank you so much Aubree, we are learning a lot about Greenville with your videos, and we love your approach on different topics related to GV!
That car tax and fee is ridiculous. Paying tax on a car that you’ve already paid taxes on? That really rubbed me the wrong way. But when in Rome. 🤷🏽♂️ You gotta drive
When you work, save your money you can live comfortably here in Greenville. Now if Someone only wants to work at McDonald’s then yeah you will struggle. You will need to get a better job to have a good quality of life which is easy here.
I want to buy a home here. My wife and i have enough for a downpayment for a home in our price range. My question for you is how long would i have to work in the area before i could get a conventional loan? We both have good credit. I'd really prefer not to rent an apartment. Thanks!
So as long as you aren’t self employed or changing industries you should be able to buy right away! Send me an email and let’s talk more! Aubree@theaubreelewisgroup.com
Omg here in Long Island New York a 1 bedroom apartment in somebody’s second floor is around 2000 a month 🤦🏻♀️ nice new studio apartments are 3k and up so I am contemplating going south if I get a transfer within my company. Love seeing your videos.
@@aubree_lewis I was born in Tennessee. I grew up in South Carolina. I currently live in North Carolina just up near the Asheville area. So I know Greenville decently well. My daughter and her husband are school teachers down in Anderson. My mother's family is from the hills of East Kentucky...waaaay back in the hills. She actually grew up not far from where Loretta Lynn grew up. We are related to them in some way or another. So this kind of stuff is funny to me.
$2300 in rent is insane for a townhouse. Entire home rentals used to be $1500 5-6 years ago.
That was years ago. All prices have been going up since then.
@@aubree_lewis they have been going up exponentially.
wow sounds pretty expensive to live there. No one in your video seemed happy to even be there.
I actually had a listing appointment with one of those people this weekend. Super nice couple in need of a bigger house. :)
When someone claims that their earnings can't afford them a comfortable living, that IS an indictment on the cost of living

Very informative content!!
There’s always more than simply purchasing the home when relocating from out of state. There’s always trade-offs

Living here is very affordable. I get paid more for the same job and housing is cheaper than SW Florida. so happy I came here
That's great!

I agree!
a car is a depreciating asset, taxing something going down in value is silly,

Oh wow! That's nuts! Let me know if me and the team can help!
The problem with living in South Carolina is that you've got to marry your cousin. So good luck with that.....😂
LOLOLOL I thought that was West Virginia?
@@aubree_lewis WV is your sister/brother.....🤭
Oh GEEZ! This is too funny. Is it sad to say I have family in WV too! Grew up running around Ripley, WV with my cousins. LOL

Small world! I was born in Chattanooga, TN and lived there till I was 12. And I live just down the road in Travelers Rest!
