I recently drove a demo and was very impressed straight off. The thing that impressed me the most is its turning circle, the dam thing just turned right back on it self and I faced the opposite way end for end so effortlessly. That really got me. I have weigh up a few more things before I buy one. A space cab would be ideal.
So many things wrong in this video.. it isn't a carry over motor, many upgrades have been made hence the name change for the motor. And drum brakes in the rear are standard in the dual cab market and are much better than disk brakes in many regards, greater stopping power and much better under load.. a little more research required before making comments about things like that would be a good idea.
Adding to it's aggressive look, are the headlights. The DRLS in the headlights, give the fascia of a similar mean look, that reminds those of us who remember the "BAD BOY" decals we would stick on our rear windshields in the late 80's to mid 90's. Along with it's double fanged grill, it makes for one tough looking truck. In fact, that BAD BOY decal could be revived as a fitting body decal graphic for the top spec model. It has my vote...
I think the drum brakes on the rear are fine especially on a 4x4. The problem with disc brake rear ends is the need to have a separate handbrake drum which is usually smaller than a traditional drum brake rear, 79 series Landcruisers and BA Falcons have this idea. (BA Falcon park brakes were next to useless.) Some vehicles have a tailshaft park brake drum which were totally annoying, springing back and forth after they were applied. Disc brake park brakes using the calliper as the parking brake can be less effective. So Drums are proven for over 60 years and perform just fine.
@@ProductReviewCars Just having trouble trying to decide on the Spacecab LSU and the DualCab.... not keen on Vinyls seats and don't need roller tonneu cover and plastic tub wing. Space cabs vs Dual cabs...purchase cost and resale factors. Spacecabs should be cheaper than what they are currently compared to DualCab.
I find the instrument cluster should have been better because it does look old despite being brand new but it's ok I guess. Also I think I heard you say one has to be in park to engage 4low, don't know if I heard you correctly though. Great video non the less, the dmax is a cracking vehicle
@@ProductReviewCars Really?? I have a 2007 triton and my dad tried to engage 4l in park and it didn't sound right at all, lots of metal crashing together. Had to quickly pull back the lever and do it in N. Hence the reason I asked but thanks for clarifying
Good review but you are going to wind up your drive shafts if you use 4L on a track that should be 2H. With a fixed centre diff you really need more slippery conditions. That vehicle will walk that track in 2H.

Dear followers, anyone who has bought a new ISUZU through a GM agency should start praying to God, the chance of receiving a fast and mechanically correct service, would be faster to receive from God. Be warned not to throw your money in the trash, share and pass on so others don't have to get screwed and eat shit.

The rims look awful. A 4x4 with Highway tyres??? Why not offer an off-road / all Terrain tyre option (BFG Ko2 ATs) with a choice of rim.... step up ISUZU. Ford do it.
A Truck in Australia by definition has a gross vehicle mass of over 4.500 tonnes plus a higher class of licence is required to drive. This is a Ute, I wish reviewers wouldn’t call them trucks
True, I have driven most of the new models and they are all surprisingly cramped especially for rear passengers. I can't believe that people see these as family haulers, they do not ride or handle anywhere as safely as normal cars.

What makes you think that drum brakes are better than discs? They are not!

Nice review mate. I am waiting for mine to arrive... Soon hopefully. Look forward to more videos.... Would love to see a tow review on the X terrain.
Thank you! We have another D-MAX on the way, so will do our best to test the towing in that review. Stay tuned...

Totally think drums are okay. However braking tech has advanced enough that for close to $70K, I think you should expect an upgrade from drums.
ProductReview Cars, do you have a Dmax SpaceCab LS-U review?
Only on the LS-U+ dual-cab. Haven't done the SpaceCab yet.

looks good, affordable car..
Order this now or wait for the new 22’ Ranger Wildtrak?
Definitely wait to see what the new ranger will look like and what features it’ll come with. Then, you can choose.
More Tie down options in the tub would be great.
you missed the slide out cup holders in the dash
You're right! Great little easter egg of a cup holder.
Baby seat in the front? Isnt that illegal?
Great job mate 👍 nice to have a chat about the DMAX with you today. Definitely a step forward and less of a wheelbarrow. Keep up the great reviews.
Cheers Josh! Absolutely!
Pitty theres no cab chassis model in the X terrain version as i cant justify paying $ 62 k plus only to remove the tub to have a custom alloy canopy .
Now that’s a dope idea
Love to see you do such a great review on the hilux
Hopefully soon!
Great looking pick up trucks from isuzu.
Stands out alright!
Is tow bar an extra?
Yup!
Nice vlog
awesome 👍😎
Thanks ✌️

Great review mate, have to wait 5 months for my new X-Terrain work ute.
Cheers! Will be worth the wait, that's for sure.
Really good, comprehensive review mate. Am in the market in this segment and the X terrain def high up on the list.
Cheers! It's a top contender in the dual-cab ute segment that's for sure. - Cameron
Dmax terrain or Nissan pro4x??
Can't say just yet! Trying to get our hands on a Pro-4X to say which one is better out of the two.

Hi Anthony, you do have to be stationary when engaging 4 LOW, I found it more safe and easier to be in park to engage it. Thanks for watching!

They would be our camera crew.
Wide enough to take a Pallot and 960KG of payload capacity. Nice.
It's amazing how many utes these days can actually fit a pallot in the tray.
Hill descent seem a tad faster than expected..Good review
Thought that motor was brand new with only one component to carry over.
Landcruiser 150 series
hope the key didnt mark rear truck mate
tonneau cover keeps breaking down on X terrain super annoying apart from that great ute
How does the tonneau cover break down?? it's a roller cover.

This is a lot like the North American Colorado. Except the Colorado is better looking.

Nice looking car. Alot of money for a little comfort and a few gimmicks that people dont really need. Over priced as are all the dual cab utes.
