- One usually does not take a truck up a mountain to see how it handles, but I suppose for the fans of this channel, it is a must.
Interestingly, Isuzu are perhaps on the right track with this range topper, with all the bells and whistles in terms of ADAS (except for lane keep assist).
With premium fittings both inside and outside, plus 18- inch wheels, the D-Max certainly has moved up a few notches. - Авто та транспорт
This is the real way to drive an isuzu dmax... great handling great torque. The turbo kick in very well

@@jkpisces 1.9 is the only engine available in Europe. Cant say I feel truck underpowered, but given choice Id go for 3.0 obviously.

I am planning to buy this this year. Already had a reservation. I have no experience driving a car/pickup but surely will take driving lesson. Watching uncle's driving videos surely inspires me that I can learn driving and parking this truck with a smile like uncle.
Yes, having a truck is a different experience from owning a car. I have both a truck and car, so I enjoy my life a bit more.

Uncle Khong, the traction control button need to press hold above 6 seconds to fully turn off, when u see TCS indicator & ESC indicator both light up, & the car is ready for a drift 😁

Hmm....but looks like both Navara NP300 new facelift and this Dmax speed are at the same speed rate. But both trucks looks good and fast though but it’s all depends on people choices.

I think they are quite close. This one is a lot quieter than its predecessor, for sure.

This new D'Max has softer suspension compared to the older one, but only slightly. Still, it is a bit more comfortable.
Happy the DMAX is less agriculture than before. This route looks easier than the route you designed for us during the Ford Ranger drive to Avillion Port Dickson xD

Uncle, just wondering whethee you could repeat this drive but this time using auto and with all the Adas turned on? This would be how a "typical" person like me would drive. Regards.
There would be nothing different except that speed would be slower, and if you cross the line you get a warning beep if you don't signal. The truck would still drive the same.
Should you be about to crash into the back of another vehicles the AEB would brake for you.

Very close.
I have 2016ranger xlt, 2017 Triton vgt, 2018 dmax and I would say dmax is the best. Dmax full tank easily 800 km. Major service rm 850 and minor rm 290. Among this 3, the ranger sucks. Triton is a robust work horse but maintainance wise slightly higher and ranger is the most expensive one among this 3.
As you can see, each ine has its strong points. Obviously fuel consumption is your highest priority, which is why you rated the Dmax the highest.

The Raptor is a different animal. That one costs over RM200k.

All are around the same power. All are trucks, so will be about the same. Get a car - it's faster.
In term of pick up power, navara or this one better?
We did not compare times, so not too sure, but power figures are very close.

Sometimes it is the sound recording, so I cannot be too sure. You might be right, but we need a decibel meter measurement to be really sure. Most pf the trucks are quieter now, but I dont see noise suppression or sound deadening as high priority in trucks, hahaha.

I guess being a seasoned rally driver from the days without electronic driver's aid, catching the tail stepping out is a breeze for you.
It has to be instinctive, if you want to be a good driver - you need to anticipate the step out and counter instinctively.

Dmax vs Navara, what's your pick YS?
Tough question. The Navara probably has a better ride because of the rear coils. The DMax is a bit bigger, I think. And DMax interior is a shade better.
I have not owned either, so I qould probably toss a coin to decide.

Dont know its just me or not but I reckon that you reach the top of Genting quicker compared to the test in the navara pro4x last time; even though this video is longer ;)
Hmm....but Navara new facelift pro4x could be also as fast as Dmax and looks like the speed rate for both trucks are at the same level. Cause Navara uses 7 speed auto while Dmax using 6 speed auto and only difference is the car of the kerb weight. But both trucks are good choices and fast but it’s all depends on people choices.
We never timed it, and traffic conditions are different for each of the drives.

They did a drag race and the BT50 which is the D-Max’s mechanical twin was actually faster than the 200+hp Hilux and Ranger which was surprising. The Navara however, lagged behind. You can also find the 0-100-0 kmh test for those trucks in that channel. In terms of ride and handling, the Navara will be better.

Holux is known for toughness and reliability the XTerrain has a softer ride and a few extra features

which one do you advice. i dont carry super heavy stuff mostly only few board and some equipment less than 500kg.. and going to working site and long distance family trip too. dont think i going extreme offroad.
i am concern about comfortable, durability, and cost of maintenance and parts..

New dmax 2021 3.0 more better than hilux rogue 2.8👍🏻👍🏻. Dmax face so handsome and interior too.
Hilux is better in terms of safety, reliability, features, power and safety. But I’m not saying that Dmax 3.0 not good. Dmax is also quite good. Just that, Dmax doesn’t come with 360 degree camera, front dashcam and engine power is a bit slow than Hilux Rogue 2.8. But at least, Dmax looks better and improves than previous Dmax. And overall, both Hilux and Dmax are good choices.
Hahaha, each has its own good points - that is why the auto industry is so interesting. Diverse machines for diverse tastes.

Tough decision, both are very close. This is very well appointed, while Navara is more comfortable, with coil sorings at the rear.

Hilux is good and reliable pick up truck, the same goes for Isuzu that also uses same technology from Toyota but Toyota acquires only 4% shares of Isuzu. Even gearbox for Dmax are basically same as Hilux. Both Hilux and Dmax are using 6AT and Dmax is also reliable pick up truck. Besides, don’t see any problems for Triton so far. Triton is also one of the reliable pick up truck, despite not same technology from Isuzu and Toyota.
And it is more reliable than Ford Ranger. Ranger gearbox kaput and people will get sakit kepala. Maintenance cost for Ford Ranger is expensive than other pick up trucks.
@@mehmeh2971 yeah! Actually it's depend on the user. What is the main purpose. If you looking for rough use, I agree with hilux. For lite but lots of load, it's triton. But for fuel safe daily use and luxury like car.....you'll choose DMax X-terrain.....😊👌
