Your products are really high quality. The doming trays are awesome and the dichro-ish supplies work really well. I've gotten many compliments on the jewelry I've made using these supplies.
You are a resin, rock 💫 star, thank you for sharing.I am so into trying different ways to do alternatives for my jewelry that no one else in my area is doing. With tips from you and a few others I have been able to get out of the comfort zone of other crafter.👍🏻
Hi! I'm so glad you love it, so do I!! It depends on the type of plastic - with some the resin will peel off easily so you'll want to remove it before adding the back layer. Other plastics (brittle poly-styrene-types) will stick like crazy and can't be removed. It takes a bit of testing with the materials you have handy, but either will work to create with our brilliant resin. Have fun, and let me know how your creations turn out!
I am so excited to find you!!! When I was a teenager, I had a job in a Lucite factory! I loved it! Fast forward 60 years.....here I am, about to embark on your adventure! (I would guess the resin these days doesn't smell as much as the Lucite did in the 1960's!!!)
Your video tutorials are fantastic! I've been super intimidated by resin and now I feel like I can easily do this. Thank you! Going to check out your website now.
Fran Valera I will definitely try! I have to find the materials first! I dont know where and I am not sure how this liquid you use is callled in greek! But when I have my first jewelry, I will show you! :)
@boxer3086 Thank you for the feedback! This is such a fun technique, and the possibilities are endless. Yes, you can use a heat tool to pop bubbles, just be sure it doesn't blow too much air, you don't want the black resin to splatter. Have fun and send me pics of your creations!

Hello resin lovers, I am new but already in love with Little Windows resin, dicroISH paper and the molds. It worked with no problems at ll from the first time. Now I have a question... The Little Windows molds leave the pieces very, very shiny and I love that. I did get some other molds from ebay and they have nice shapes but are just not as shiny. What do you guys use to glaze it with? I've heard of triple thick and watched some tutorials but it looks like it leaves a lot of streaks. Does it? One other thing, I make a very nice bezel with the dircroish technique but I think I should have let it rest one more day. I wore it yesterday and I think I made a big mistake by spraying some perfume on my neck. Now the bezel has foggy spots in the final clear layer. Would anyone recommend glazing it or just trying to put on another lay of clear resin? sorry, don't want to bug anyone, but I live in Germany and ordering all the things from the US costs quite a bit so I am trying to make as little mistakes as I can to not waste anything. Thanks!
Hello! I used the Creative Drill, you'll find it in our webstore at little-windows(dot)com It comes with 3 different sizes of drill bit and it's really easy and comfortable to use (bye, bye Dremel!) Thanks for asking :)
Hello Maria! Yes, it's great to have a safe and easy epoxy resin to work with. We are located in the United States, but we can ship to you in Brasil. Just email me a list of the items you would like to fran@little-windows..com and I can send you estimates for shipping. Thank you :)

Hello Alejandro Cardenas, sorry I'm unable to reply to you directly, there is a list of the materials needed in our Little Windows Project Center here's a link to it: www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center/7836943-dichro-ish-resin
Hi again :) You can get the set which has the super-fine opaque black glitter powder, or you can just get the film packs, whichever works best for you :)
Hi cutedollyme, sorry for the delayed response, you can start with black in the bottom of your mold, or add it as the last layer after you've popped your castings out. Either way will work well, it's just a matter of which is a more efficient way to make the projects you have in mind :) Have fun!
Thank you! Little Windows brilliant resin is the best for this technique, it has no bad smell, is safer to work with than other resins, and has no solvents, so it won't eat away at the color on the Dichro-ISH film. Have fun!
@dragonfly3313 Hello! You'll find everything you need at little-windows(dot)com There will be a graphic for the Dichro-ISH Supplies on the top right side of the homepage, or you can go into the store and look under "Boxes & Other Stuff" Have fun!
Hello! You can do it either way, but I find it's easier for me to flatten the sheet back out again, then cut my shapes, vs. trying to flatten the little cut outs. Totally up to you - try some each way and see what you prefer :)
Autumn Spring Thank you Autumn! If you drip over you can wait about 4-6 hours and then try to peel it off. If you're concerned you can let the black-colored-resin set up for 20 minutes, then it'll be nice and thick as you pour, and you'll be less likely to overpour. Be conservative on your first few, until you get the hang of how much it can take. Hope that helps :)
Beautiful ,do u think you could get the same effect with cellophane ? I've never done resin I use enamel painted onto glass cabochon and I'm trying to make this look ?
Hi Kylie! I don't think you'll get the intense color and shine with cellophane, but it may still look pretty :) I don't think it'll work with flat glass cabochons, you need depth for the crinkled or cut-up films to float. Thanks for asking!
Hello! What you have is the same thing in a different form. We recently switched from a powder to a gel, which makes it even easier to blend with the resin. Follow the directions that came with the package you purchased for best results, and have fun :)
questions: what kind of drill did you use and what type of bracelet was that you attached to the pendant. It went so fast I couldnt catch either. Thank you.
a question cuz i hear alot about Resin Pigments, get sticky, don't cure well, tacky, when wanting to use more then one drop, i ask how supposed to darken the resin? i do like this black resin ty.
Great question, and this can happen for 2 reasons - either the chemistry of the colorant isn't a good fit with the chemistry of the resin you're using, or too much has been used. This Black Resin Colorant I use from little-windows.com is designed for use with epoxy resin, and it's super concentrated, so just 1-2 drops should give you rich, opaque black. If you use just a bit you'll have a fog gray color, and if you swirl it in it looks like smoke. Keep in mind any time you add liquid colorant to resin it can take a bit longer to fully cure, but as long as it's mixed in well you shouldn't have sticky spots. Let me know if you have any trouble, I'm happy to help :) - fran@little-windows.com Here's a link, be sure to shake it well and store sideways or point-down: www.little-windows.com/collections/resin-colors-1/products/black-resin-colorant

Hi, even though this video is old, I hope you respond. Do you sell your electric drill? I have arthritis and that would make it so much easier for me. If you don't sell it what would I look for (regular drills seems to big and I don't know if nail drills hold the small mm drill bits) Thanks!! Lj

Hi Peggy! Here's a link to the Brilliant Resin Starter Kit, click the image below the kit and you'll see what's included. Also the mirror-finish mold, and the mini doming tray are tools you'll be able to use over and over. The drill and cropping template are in there too, so the answer is yes! www.little-windows.com/collections/starter-kit/products/brilliant-resin-starter-kit-for-jewelry-more
+Christine Claassen Hi Christine! No, it was a hard plastic polystyrene, so the resin bonded really well with it. If you use softer plastics the resin can peel off. Hope that helps :)
Love your channel and how you explain things in a simple way! Just a question, apart from the picture pendant, can you add glass cabachons above any of the tray pendants was filled with resin mixed with pigment +/- glitter? By adding strong glue or a little bit of resin then you place the glass cabachons on the top? Or may be after you place the top layer of resin, we can place the glass cabachons on the top straightaway without waiting for the resin to dry? Is that possible? I watched many videos people applying the glass cabachons above acrylic skin. But none applied the glass cabachons in pendant tray contains (resin + pigment/glitter or both). Thanks
Hello Miro Maro! Sorry for the delayed response, yes you sure can, just make sure you have enough resin in there so you don't have air pockets, but not too much that it overflows the bezel. If this happens just wipe clean with a paper towel. Have fun!
Hello Trinette! Sorry for the delayed reply. I always use the Special Photo Papers for Resin from little-windows.com. They can be printed on inkjet and won't bleed or run. You won't need to seal them unless you're using a harsh resin. They come in 4x6" and 8-1/2 x 11" I hope that helps :) Here's a link in case you want to try them out: www.little-windows.com/collections/special-papers - Fran
Thanks for sharing this great creative idea, but i'm wondering, how come you don't just put the texture sheet into the mold before putting in the resin?
Hello Melody, if you put anything flat in the mold before adding resin, you run the risk of trapping air pockets underneath that you can't get to to pop, which is vexing when it sets up. It's always best to put at least a thin layer of resin in a mold before adding your items in. Keep creating :) - Fran
Muchas gracias!
Hello G! I don't have any specific videos on that, but I've made magnets out of nearly every creation shown in my videos. You can either glue a magnet on the back of any piece, or you can embed a magnet in the bottom layer of resin for a more permanent bond. Have fun :)
Hi! Love this idea. Just received my Dichroic Kit today and have already poured resin and added the cut up film :) One question, can I add the resin with the black liquid directly into the resin mold instead of pouring onto pieces on the tray you are using? It won't stain will it? Thanks for the great tutorial.
Hi Teresa! Yes you certainly can pour black colored resin directly into your molds, just make sure it's blended well, otherwise you may get sticky spots. Any black resin drips can be picked off after it's cured, and they should not stain your molds :)
I do something similar to this but I've never tried this film...I always use iridescent glitter flakes..I think I may try this out to see the difference.
I am so inspired to make all of these projects if only you lived in the UK :) as it's very hard to get any of that stuff over hear , and sadly the shipping to the UK is very expensive :( but i still love watching all of the videos they are very easy to understand .and i too love your voice , Hugs and thank you x
Purchased your products at Bead & Button. Watching this video on the dichro technique I'm wondering why you crinkle the dichro film before you cut it out. Seems that it would be easier to cut if it was flat.
Hello Special K! Yes it should work, as long as it's an epoxy resin. Just use a tiny bit, and test to see how it'll effect your cure. Have fun and please let me know how it turns out :) - Fran
Good morning little window lol. So if the softer plastic does peel of or if I put it of would that be a problem. I'm totally crazy about the resin making jewelry. I love it. Take care
+Christine Claassen Hi Christine! I guess it wouldn't be a problem, you could peel it off and dome the back of the resin to give it more stability and strength. Hope that helps :)

@littlewindowsresin Hi there, just wondering.. what did you use for the plastic molds/do you have a recommendation for plastic to use for molds for the resin? (I am trying to make some unique Resin shapes, and mod podge is not quite what i'm looking for..) Any ideas?
+Alyssa W Hello Alyssa! The molds I use are available at little-windows.com and have a special coating so your resin pieces will pop out super-shiny. If you're wanting to make irregular shapes, or anything you can't find a mold for, you may want to consider the Doming Technique instead of casting. There are a few videos in our Project Center that feature this technique, have a look at "3D Butterflies", that's a great one to start with. Here's a link: www.little-windows.com/blogs/project-center

Lovely buttons and pendants! Do you have any videos for using Little-Windows to make fridge magnets?
I sooo digress, but I love your voice. You sound like my old elementary school teacher at story time.
Why thank you my dear :) Now children, let's gather round for a new story called "Adventures in Resinland"!
:-D
I do something similar to this but I've never tried this film...I always use iridescent glitter flakes..I think I may try this out to see the difference.
Bem bacana as peças que você fez de resina😊😊😊ficaram lindas gostei muito😊😊😊parabéns por ter feito isso continue assim 😉😉😉.
Obrigado por suas opiniões amáveis!
@@LittleWindowsResin De nada😘😘😘.
Wow, very cool! I can't wait to try it.
hello! i love these dichroic! I went to your site but am not finding your irredescent paper. do you not sell those?
I am so inspired to make all of these projects if only you lived in the UK :) as it's very hard to get any of that stuff over hear , and sadly the shipping to the UK is very expensive :( but i still love watching all of the videos they are very easy to understand .and i too love your voice , Hugs and thank you x
Purchased your products at Bead & Button. Watching this video on the dichro technique I'm wondering why you crinkle the dichro film before you cut it out. Seems that it would be easier to cut if it was flat.
Very beautiful!
Can you use the black ink in another brand resin
Hello Special K! Yes it should work, as long as it's an epoxy resin. Just use a tiny bit, and test to see how it'll effect your cure. Have fun and please let me know how it turns out :) - Fran
@@LittleWindowsResin thank you I'm going to order some things!
Is this one the starter kit? Went to the site and there was just the starter kit, what is this on the site? I want to buy it💜😄👍
I'm loving it! I'm so happy I found, little windows! ♥Ü
I love it !!!! Verry Beautiful work :-)
If i wanted to make them a solid colour, what can i use ie food colouring or some kind of dye? Hugs tibs xxx
Since your resin is 2:1 ratio, can I use the measuring cup to measure other 2:1 ration resin the way you did?
+Fran Valera Thank you!
Where can I get the kit from?
Is there a substitute we can use for the black liquid?
Hello! That depends on the type of project you want to make, are you thinking of a thin domed piece, a casting, or working in a bezel?
what kind of drill is that? i am now out of state i wish i can find one
what is the brand and what size is the "needle"
Hello bushbosh! We offer 2 different drills at little-windows.com, a Spring Drill that has 3 sizes of drill bit (1mm, 1.2mm, 1.5mm), and a Power Drill made for crafting that comes with 5 sizes of drill bits, up to button-hole size. You can see both on our website at www.little-windows.com/collections/drills
¡Hola Little!
Oh awesome! Thank you so much, i'll go watch that now. :D
