Hey Buckin! I use a 450 Rancher for firewood. I'd love to see you test one out some day and see what your opinion is about it. I love what you do for us. Thank you. And by the way, you've inspired me to follow my dream. I left a desk job (Software Engineer) and became a Diesel Mechanic. I love getting my hands dirty. Working on trucks during the day and felling trees and splitting with an axe on my spare time. I've never used a splitter in my life. I plan to swing an axe until I die. I've never been happier and fulfilled.
Hey Brother! Great to see Morgan on the channel again. Keep in mind that those 572XP's are E-Tune, like the 500i, and need to be idled for awhile and then full-throttled with load for 15 seconds to recalibrate to different back-pressure from the new pipe!
The proper autotune calibration/reset procedure is idling for 5min and then doing a full-throttle rip cut in a log big enough to allow for a 75-90 second full throttle cut.
Hey Buckin' great video once again, the craftsmanship he does in that shop is nothing short of amazing. Ewan, you're one of us, you are not alone! We are here on the channel to lift each other up and we will BE there for you. Remember life is a journey, keep on keepin' on.
Hey bucking hope you see this comment I finally got to 40 foot in the tree and hoping to go higher eventually thank you for your help with advice in the trees and your videos are awesome keep them coming
I'm a hot rodder from the 70's and you aren't going to gain much HP from just the exhaust. I have anG888 and it is high HP. I know 4 cycles but not 2 cycles but you could go all out with big carb, big lines, porting, high dome pistons, better cam but that's a huge amount of work.
Honest question.... were you paid or compensated with a free saw or in any way? I think being honest and up front with what you are promoting is critical information for any consumer. Just asking, you can either ignore or answer a simple question.
Elves It's no good guessing on these 2 stroke exhausts Walter Kaaden's He had developed the two-stroke exhaust pipe, known as expansion chamber. In 1962. This is how MZ 2 stroke motorcycles were so dominant in the 1960's. It is the expansion & resonance of the exiting exhaust gas that pulls more air fuel mix into the jug.
My friend owns a tree service and I repair his saws. I put an after market muffler on one of the 372s that exhausted out the front and he complained the it would set the bark on fire when falling.
We all love “Morgando the metal magician” you aren’t so bad yourself William. How’s mom and dad my brother. Hope everyone is well 🧬❤️🔥☀️🔥 PS. More Volume on those strato(air over charge) saws .!!!
Did you do a High and low field reset after the pipe? You are gonna wanna do that friend! 5 min idle to reset the low and 6-8ft rip cut at full throttle with just the tip buried in the wood
need a muffler for mine to, think its gone be a staight version, but when see the welds on yours in the video some need some welding..... you know what i mean.😊
I’ve seen a lot of mufflers but what about the intake. K&N filter like a hot rod.damn that sounds good. God loves rednecks. That’s why he made so many of us.
I think the holes cut on the front face of the ram horn will suck in air. Thats usually how that works when u put a hole in a hose close to the exit. Think how pressure washers introduce detergent or air tools that suck stuff up.
Mr Smith, Husqvarna has a procedure to reset the tune on those auto tunes.. Did you run that hard reset off camera between pipes? If not, do you think that saw was at its premium from one pipe to the next without the reset? From what I’ve read, you’re supposed to let it idle for 3 minutes to set the low jet, and make a 16’ wide open ripping cut burying just the bar tip on a sharp chain in order to set the high jet. Hope this consideration helps in some way.
“Treat people like you want to be treated”, I say it like that and then people don’t think of it as me trying to come off as trying to be all preachy. Because I’m ANYTHING but a preacher. 😮
Not true, technically, buddy. It's a pipe, unless it has baffles in it to "muffle" the sound. That's true for all combustion engine exhausts. This pipe would be considered a split strait pipe, or a one into two.
@@duncandogster because it is a long cylinder? In this context a "pipe" on a 2-stroke engine has an expansion chamber. Just running tubes out of the cylinder does zero for performance.
@@BuckinBillyRaySmith ask Donny Walker BBR, facts are facts, a tube attached to the cylinder is not a PIPE, it isn't providing any sort of power gain or adjustment to the power curve, it is just redirecting exhaust. I know two-stroke engines, not being a troll, friend, I can promise you that. :)
Would be really cool once you find a pipe that works the best to send it to Dyno Joe and see what it does. I'm guessing about 9-10. Either way big improvement over stock, and a awesome saw. Do you ever mess with a 3120 or is it just to heavy for all around saw.
Hey there Billy Ray, love your vids, I just started my own Tree Services business and am looking to getting into climbing, I'm 300lbs, which saddle would you recommend for a bigger guy? All comments welcome! Thank you!
Buckin, I’m sure that you realize that the “G” on that 572 means that it’s got a generator on it for the heated handles. I’m just wanting YOUR assessment of how well it works. Please report to your massive audience when it’s cold outside so that you can give it a fair trial. 😊

Definitely would like to see more videos about custom piping for saws. I have a couple older saws I want to pipe for my Granberg Mill
I have a 550xp I built a tuned pipe, I have 18 inch bat thing cuts anything, great saw for farm and around the house

Good to see Morgan aka the Mad Scientist. Guy is a craftsman, love it!

I liked the low growl of the last muffler, personally
you should make a flange pipe. 2 Flanges. and 1 pipe betweene. so that all the 372 and simmilar works on the 572 xp.

find a good welder
Coffee, BBR vid and off to work.
nice
Great fab work right there!! Do you need to adjust the carb needles when adding a pipe? I’ve never put a pipe or modded any saws before.
not these new ones

are you gunna start selling some of these pipes? would love to get my hands on one!
