Hi and VERY many thanks! We got new broadband today and our Hypervolt charger went offline and their help desk was hopeless - an initial minute’s waiting time turned to 15 and then a case number and nothing more. And we need the car in the morning. Thanks to you, we did the age-old thing of turning the charger off at the mains, waiting ten seconds and then turning it on again. Hey presto, the previously inert offline page on our app woke up and paired with the new Wi-Fi. So it’s all down to you and we appreciate it very much. Than you!

As I require daily use, I currently have to do the reset daily, to acquire a connection/charge. Not convenient, but I hope a solution is in the works.

A software update did seem to sort mine out when it was dropping off when not used for a week or more.

Yes, I've had to do that a few times, but not since I got a mid-2022 firmware update. Although I'm probably not on the latest version at the moment but it's doing its job every night. I used to have the odd issue when I locked the charger, but I don't do that anymore unless I'm going away.
I’ve had this charger since Sept 2021, never had this issue before. Plugged the car in on Saturday, went out to it on Monday morning, the battery hadn’t been topped up. Thought it was my mistake. Plugged it in again Monday night, it didn’t kick in. Hence, 1.30am I am walking around outside in the cold trying to reconnect the charger to the Wi-Fi. I’m on Octopus Go, cheap night tariff. I checked my firmware, it starts with 2021. I’m wondering if this is out of date. I understand that firmware updates are applied automatically. Is that right do you know.

Hi, just wondering if you found a solution to the unlocking issue? I'm having exactly the same thing with my once a week charging..
I had this issue and having discussed it with Hypervolt’s Support Team they forced a new firmware build (Dated May ‘22) and also told me that as long as my WiFi signal at the unit was better than -60dBm it should be fine. Mine is showing -59dBm so just within limit. Since getting the new firmware build the WiFi connection has been completely stable. In due course I’ll switch to Ethernet as I had mine installed using Ultra EV cable which included a screened Cat 5 cable within the armoured cable structure.

Just to add, I have found the 'sleep' issue when leaving Hypervolt locked for a few days. I wonder if anyone's seen an update or acknowledgement of this?
Interestingly enough I'm having the same issue with leaving the charger idle for a week and having it be non responsive after locking. Frustrating to be honest and will look to contact hypervault folks as it's not ideal to turn it off by the fuse. Nice one on the video (a year later and still helpful in regards to the idle state)
It seemed to fix itself after a firmware update and putting a WiFi disc closer. But I only lock it now if I am off on holiday
Mine works just fine after switching it on, but after an hour or so, it loses connection and won't work again until I reboot it. The lock issue for me fails after this time period, too.
I really wanted a hyperbola but the Zappi seems to be the way to go as you have control on the front panel. I’m a tech guy but no Wi-Fi means it’s just a box on the wall no way to keep going without internet. It’s not good enough for me.
I've had my Hypervolt installed for about 5 weeks now and it also suffers from losing the bluetooth connection everytime I leave it for a day or two with a reboot the only way I can get it to reconnect. Some of the comments here are more than 4 months old so Hypervolt not rushing to solve the problem
I'd still make sure you are on the latest firmware and ask Hypervolt. My firmware starts with a '202205' which I believe is the year and month. Also check it's not on 5Ghz as that cuts the range down.
@Daniel Coe how do you check the firmware version? I'm on wired connection but it still loses the Bluetooth connection which is needed to unlock
Thanks for your blog. Yes it's April 2023 and I cannot UNLOCK my Hypervolt.. Wrang Customer Services and Bug is still not resolved. Did try hard reboot by switching off mains. To no avail. Any update from you on this issue please. Thanks
After I had a firmware update it sorted itself out. Maybe ask for an update?
Hi Daniel. If the Hypervolt ends up without WIFI, whatever the reason, is there any way that one can still charge the vehicle, some kind of emergency access to start charging?
Whatever setting you left it on, should still be current. So if it was on boost and plug and charge then it should work straight away. Otherwise it's only operational via the app and your online dashboard account.
We have a hypervolt installed in our garage approx. 30m from the house. The installer put some power line adapters to get a 'wired' internet connection to the charger. However, we are still getting a 'no connection' error all the time that prevents us changing any settings.
Hypervolt did upgrade mine last week to 202205... from 202112... and its now working well.
First day and mines allready broke customer service is shocking
I can't say I've had any issues other than some connection problems early on that were fixed with a firmware update.
