Sir, it was/is a sufficient video. However, you failed to discuss anything about the other side of that connection. Plugging in our car into a socket at home is a big deal to some of us ancient folk.

Good question - I'm not sure. The remote was not near the vehicle in the video but the vehicle was not locked. I couldn't find a definitive answer in the owner manual either. I will try that next time we have access to a Mach-E

    FORD, we need help.
My 2023 Mach-E Regarding Ford portable charger that is 240v/32amp!
I charge my Mach-e using an 240v @ 50amp NEMA 14-50 and after 7 hours the cord was getting hot, and it start to smell like overheating?
Yes, I did keep my cord coiled because the distance was small/close...Is that the reason my cord got Hot?
Is this safe 240v/50amp or we need to replace the braker with a 30amp?

Best to contact a local electrician. Your home wiring may be underrated for anything over 30 amps.
Personally, I installed a 100 amp sub panel coming off the 200 amp main breaker panel. I installed 60 amp breaker at the main and 50 amp breaker at the sub panel. I purchased an Emporia 48 amp charger station set for 40 amp max charging. I purchased a hubble 14-50 NIMA 50 amp outlet that's heavy duty made in the USA. All wires have been upgraded for 100 amp, 50 amp, and 30 amp service being used for my truck camper. I had an electrician verify my work. My total cost was over $2000.00 and definitely worth the peace of mind. The hardest part was hand digging a 185-foot ditch. That about killed me. I just completed my installation yesterday. 40 amp charging is plenty fast, and anything over 40 amp from the charging station, you can not use a 14-50 outlet. You'll need to hard wire a charging unit. If you use the standard Ford charger with the 240v 50 amp plug, best get that electrician to inspect your home wiring.

Will I damage anything if I charge my Mach-E to an 240v @ 60amps? Or I have to change my breaker to a 30amps?

If u want a 60 amp breaker is ok but there are no home chargers that will utilize 60 amp. I've only seen 48 amps... But Ford offers an 80 amp yet I don't think they're for home usage

Did a level 2 charging unit come with the vehicle or did you have to purchase the level 2 charger separately?

Not sure on that - the Mach-E in the video is not a personal vehicle and the charger was already with it.
