Is that the lock button to lock the cable in the car? Or is that separate?
Is it possible to lock the cable in the car from the charger app or is that setting on the car itself? Just so no one can remove the cable before the schedule charge starts.

Locking the car locks the cable in the car. Locking the charger just means if someone tries to plug it into their car, it won't start charging. But you could also stop that in other ways by setting the charger to a scheduled charge.
This charger missing schedules on mine then charging and doesnt show on the graph they told me because it was offline utter garbage
Yes, you do need a good WiFi signal or have it hard wired via ethernet. Also, make sure you have the latest firmware and get support to update it remotely.
