It is actually worth close to nothing if the battery is dead which, being 13 years old, most likely is. $20k to replace - IF they even produce that battery anymore. And he would have been responsible for paying taxes on a way overpriced $112k car. 280 horsepower? Ford Mustangs the same year cranked out more lol. This kid dodged the biggest bullet of his life!
There are show employees specifically watching the audience for who would make for a great contestant and who would not. Any wrong reaction, or lack of, can get a person permanently off the list. Always be on alert and awake.

But sometimes I think that even though there's a lot of awesome gifts and a lot of happy excited people. Some of those expensive gifts put people like this student into a horrible position. There's no way he's going to be able to afford to upkeep. That Tesla, the maintenance that registration the licensing the taxes is absolutely unbelievable. There's no way he could afford it.
...and then he sees the taxes to bring it home. Appx. $39,200. Anything over $10,001 has a 35% tax on it. (0-$1000= 0%; $1001 to $10,000= 33%; $10,001+=35%). Fun times.
I try guessing at these while they're playing to see how I would do. I've watched 2 of these so far...and I've guessed every single one right. So by now, I should have a hot tub, a spa, bikes, tennis equipment, a Viper and a Tesla Roadster. Where's my stuff at? LOL
My sister lives in Studio City used to live next store to Rob Schneider he drives one at the time his wife drove a conv mustang but this was a couple years ago
Okay, just a little explanation about this. The producer wants the person to win, but they make the prizes at the end so expensive that the person gets nervous. They then get so nervous that they freak out causing them to lose focus. Then they will lose if they make it to the next-to-last prize.
I believe IMHO you’re overthinking it a bit here…this is just a game where it’s anybody’s guess. No strategy, no thinking, no focus required. Just dumb luck.
