Ooo Manuela, I can relate ... that bad part about being poor is embarrassment, I was recently called over by my friend to cafe javas.. I was badly dressed , so messed up..n with lugages instead of a simple bag. Ooo Ooo I even failed to eat when I looked around and even how she had dressed. I was sooo lowwww. But from that day onwards...i decided to dress well n care about myself well. Even if I don't expect any date .
As someone that’s been on the lower social class end, it helps when the one on the upper isn’t snobbish. They have to invite you to their world with an intention of sharing the experience together, not treating you as a victim or as ignorant. Then again the one on the lower has to desire to experience better coz I’ve also seen people who are completely resistant to progress, talking like they don’t need better when in actual sense it’s fear that’s keeping them from pursuing more
I totally agree with you other people are resistance and stubborn, you can't force something to someone who is not willing to try or put some effort, it's so frustrating
My husband grew up from the village in Fort and i grew up from Munyonyo. He was the first person to get a first grade in primary in his school. But when u meet my husband right now, he's actions and social life is for a muyenga grown up. I feel its about what someone wants and work towards that. He is even better than me a Munyonyo kid. 😀😀
Manuela is so funny. I love how she owns her background. It’s courageous actually cause the thing about being poor is the embarrassment. I feel like she overcame that embarrassment and has been able to progress. Live your truth
@ritabusingye3853 & that's the proverbial ferris wheel that never stops; once u start faking it, anti u never stop coz at every angle there will be something new to live up to...so draining & exhausting.
Manuela reminded me of a dating experience I had in my twenties with a guy from a prominent Baganda family. Even though I was not from money, I was lucky to have been raised by an educated relative who gave me exposure to fine things including vacations abroad. Anyway, I had a drive in me after university to make money and couldn’t understand my then boyfriend who would wait for his dad’s office to give him an allowance every Friday. I remember telling him to find a job independent of his dad, which he did but only lasted two weeks. 😅. Needless to say, I broke up with him and went on to pursue my dreams outside the country.
from this session, am going back to school so that my social status can be uplighted, cheiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii, Manuel you have really explained my life, i was dumped by two social class guys simply because of my self esteem which was soooooooo poor, i couldn't express my self in his family gatherings, would seat in one place poorly dressed, at one family event i was called out to usher the other guests simply because i looked different from them, Kyanuma🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣, i thought they wanted the good manners... kumbe...kneeling and being humble is not what was required. Ohh sweetheart. I feel you, been there though not in the dating aspect but yes. There's a way you are naturally are different when you are in a society you don't actually belong to even when you try your level best. They can tell you don't belong. Such events are never fun😢
Dear Manuella and Pamla, we thank God for the hilarious and high vibes personalities you are. Never a dull moment with your shows! So much loveeeee from Rwanda ❤
Thank you for bringing this topic cause it's something that is sensitive but it's a reality. Sometimes you marry someone because you have seen something good on him but when time goes on, you realize that you don't share the same perspective and goals about the future. I always say that some people are addicted to poverty, they are fine with the way they live and what they have because they grew up like that but on the other hand you grew up in the same situation but you want your life and that of your children to be better than what you have when you grew up, guys this is so frustrating
Hi bump love ladies. Kindly rely my admiration to pumla. To me, She is the smartest analyst on this show. Very comprehensive preambles to topics and extremely detailed objectivity when giving advise.
Banange before I even finish the show, Manuela your 😂😂😂😂 your explanation of your time at Buddo. I can completely relate. Excited vibes only🎉🎉🎉🎉 It happened to me when I got to Hormisdallen, I was like we are given fried fish and chicken at school. Kids would be complaining Abt Chicken and fish 😮 nga I be like do you know what people eat in other schools. Cheeiii I have enjoyed your experience. Now let me continue 😅
I just can't stop admiring Angie ...every advice she gives really works for me....rich or poor.... Her advice is always fit for everyone....cuddos Angie
Wow. Key words for me. Potential, love wins, statuses change any kind of way. In my opinion: if you have similar values, dreams for the future or goals, passion and ambitions. Love will win the rest. Thanks Ladies. Great talk.
I share your view on this @Angie. Looking out for better than yourself for yourself without necessarily basing the decision on money. It’s also good to know your level and understand who you’re and what you potentially attract. I love that you own your truth @Manuella. This helps with being our authentic selves and how we can grow. Great conversation.
I appreciate what Pumla said about us growing from different backgrounds, but I suggest that we all try to fit in every environment. I do not agree with trying to impose conditions so that you can contribute. You people, you don't know what can happen tomorrow so please raise your children to be comfortable in every environment.
Wow, I just love Manuela's back ground story and that hunger thing with the ex boyfriend, maybe it's that hunger for hardwork that has made her what she is now, thank you guys for the wonderful lessons I have learnt, ❤
I can relate to Mrs mulondo's background coz I am not any different. My ka scholarship brought me to Kampala for high-school but the whole school would know that poor mukiga won't miss food. Even in O'level they would write me on the notice board for not missing food the whole term. Now how do I date anyone below my social class coz any lower I go I will be underground 😅😅😅😅. Pumla with your Nigerian organisation eating Peper, u gal u have seen days🤣🤣🤣. Angie u look so amazing but talking of people who studied under the tree, u Kampala people will never beat us in class. Thanks for the show ladies
But I like the way she present her points though she talks less . She is just so gorgeous and adorable👌. I really and truly love her in every way bambi . However, much respect and love to every single one of them because they are all unique in their ways they reason and present their opinions❤
Thanks ladies for your submissions. Nabacwa, you said it well when you said that you asked yourself if that's what you would really put up with when you're dating a middle class guy. I believe a class is a mindset. I didn't grow up in a high class family and from my childhood, I well knew that that's not where I belong. Right now, I can confidently say that I'm in an upper middle class moving more because that where I wanna be and it's the energy I have put into the universe. Would I marry a below average person than my class? If they have potential, ability and they believe in themselves to elevate to my standard, Yes. Nabacwa, I can tell you're well brought up given your background and the way you carry yourself. You're so humble, respectful and knowledgeable. I can't get tired of giving you your flowers .
My friend and I call you Ministers , For we learn alot and each day there is need to observe and Annalise things before making a decision in different aspects of life . Thank you Bump love .
Thanks alot for today 's show it was so loaded with alot of advise. And regarding village life , a family can set up a standard home in the village with everything in the house like a nice inside kitchen. And when my guy who had his village in Entebbe was surprised that our village house and way of living in Luweero was better than there's.
Thank you Pumla for the intro! however, you have forgotten the social class of Ethnicity, in some societies it is even more powerful and significant than any other social classes. Financial status and Education are secondary to how good your clan is. But I understand that is a very hard part to penetrate for now😂 I am enjoying thank you ladies
Ethnicity is a social construct but it is usually used as an excuse; if someone is of a higher social status ( especially financially and by a great margin) most families will over look the ethnicity aspect.
@@pumlanabachwa8668 As a really big fan, let me start by saying I love you😁and it is with this same love that I'm going to disagree with you. Ethnicity is a giant minefield, but I believe the time is ripe for us as Africans (in our different countries) to delve into the harshness of it, face it and fight it. Because spade a spade, discriminating ourselves on this front is holding us back in many areas. Yes we have differences, but I'm pained that to this day we still see our differences as separating factors rather than unique factors to appreciate and celebrate.
It's always a joy finding a new video from you ladies🥳🥳 very intriguing conversation. Anyways personally, I would really prefer dating a man of either same status or higher. My reason is simple, am a woman and as a wife, I have to submit to my husband. And I simply just can't submit to less...in so many aspects.
Man!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm in awe of how real you all are. The courage to share your personal experiences is what gets my attention. Here praying for some meet and greet sort of affair where I can get to physically tap into this wisdom. Much love.
Thanks Aunty Yunike for sharing this. I have had that experience too. I have seen a number of people behave that way before dying. Most recent a certain lady I knew insisted on moving into another of her many houses. She even evicted her tenant on short notice. Immediately the tenant moved out, she moved in. Three weeks later, she died.
We must remember that other people are resistant and stubborn and its hard to make them adapt to change and try other things, others are scared of the unknown, if you're in that kind of a relationship, I m telling you its difficult, you live with regrets everyday
Kale i resonate alot with Rachel here, and i think it basically comes from background when you grow up nga you have a comfortable life even when not so wealthy. Anyway the first time my partner came to pick me in his car (Mercedes Benz) I thought he was showing off, trying to impress me, neela I thought he had borrowed it 😂, neela i never i never wanted very wealthy, i wanted just comfortable. Anyway latter i realized bambi he came from humble family, but really worked hard to raise out and upgrade. Neela we are here happy and fine. But dating lower class in certain aspects for me too, is a no!
Great point Manuela on the information part 😂😂😂 😂18:05 We were busy saying the oil curse, sijui whatnot while folks were studying for phDs on fully funded scholarships 😂
Ooh,here in fort we love you,I like the last talk about questions to ask before we go to marriage,it was good ,but can you get some time and talk about the importance of being rised by both parents than a single parent, much love❤❤❤
Oh oh ladies thanks so much I have learnt alot in this video. I'm a single dad but b4 I look for someone alot of things to put in consideration. Thanks its wonderful.
@Manuela! I am so proud of you, your school story resonates so well with me. The truth with being authentic is those who love the truth will stay. I am reminded of a friend who mocked me if my porridge even had sugar yet she could not share even when she had enough. Guess what, we are friends up to today over 10 years. So, low or upper class, i really would not mind as long as one is able to unlearn and relearn the bare minimums. I know some friends who also fell from grace to the bare ground. Thank you ladies for the show!
i like the Pumla explains the status thing. As a person, ladies you have taught me a lot and thank you for the experiences and the extra research you. i feel like you should think about dropping two episodes a week at least
What a beautiful episode, when I was younger, I fought for happiness in hopes of building with a person but now I know better. Status grants a person predispositions in and on mindset which are in most cases progressive. Higher social status is the way to go
Could we have the guys' views on social classes? There is always something new to learn when it comes to these ladies. Thank you a bunch. My current partner and I are from different social classes(he is too polite he calls it two different sides of town😂😂) At first we really struggled with the differences but slowly we got our ways out by focusing on the good sides of us. Btw i am the one from the low class 😂. I have learnt a lot today, i cant thank you enough ❤
Oo Rosette ...ur dearly missed, banange I just enjoy listening to all of u ladies, those stories n life experiences give me a balance to my own life. Thank u .
Missed resett's touch though. I must admit the fact that every episode of bump love i watch, i learn at least a new vocabulary. especially from Rachel n pumla
Social class!. I went to shimoni before it was Upe, and guess what?, it has made me who I am today. They are all Drs, engineers, lawyers, big business owners. I cannot imagine finding them and am no body.
Truth is that people should date from within their status to avoid unnecessary juggling in either relationship or marriage. This saves you from a lot of stress
Thanks Ladies for this conversation. You have reminded me of a guy i dropped because he had bad table etiquette. He used to eat while making noises, which used to irritate me until when I dropped him. I couldn't stand the annoying kuswamkularing 😮
Three things. 1. I love looooove how Pumla does her research before the show. Too bad she's taken. 2. As an old follower, I think I'll just start saving to come to Uganda for the 100k subs plaque. I'm digging the organic growth. 3. This is to send my petition for a change in the intro video. I mentioned it, now I'm petitioning. But I'm pretty sure it's already done.
l love the way you have defined this issue because many people have let very good people go just basing on wealth levels only forgeting that there is more to a strong foundation than wealth and that wealth can be created u like many of the other qualities
You people have made my evening... actually just like Mrs Mwine said..I enjoy watching Pumla in her class..I can't imagine the show without her. But where is Rosette anyway..I love you guys very big..I was really ready to watch the show for even one week...
I love this, am just a fresh graduate of engineering, I have followed you guys throughout my campus ❤, Atleast am now educated about a partner I want, not coz of needs wants i want as person, bump love thank you. Am single but now after seeing this am in the clouds, I will wait again to get the right partner❤
Ladies you are speaking wisdom! Such a good conversation. The status I am not willing to compromise on is education, however much a man has potential, I don’t see myself with an uneducated man. So a degree for me is a requirement 😂😂
Are u alluding to a man with a bachelor's degree in : political science, history, psychology, English, etc; and if residing in the USA with tens of thousands of dollars in School loans coupled with interest rates! Or are u talking about an applied education? Bcz a real, substantive education is meant to transform the recipient's life socially, economically. Why be an alumni of University when l can't pay for my rent? Yet there are vocational Schools that can ensure a decent daily life!
Good advice to the anonymous lady's question. I admire your humilty as you share your own experiences on tackling the issue at hand. Thank you for the truths you've shared on how, in your own lives, have navigated some tricky situations you've found yourselves in to make them work for you and your spouse- family. Angie, thank you.
Pamla you are always informed,in this case I will always chose kindness and care over anything else. Why should I have a wealthy man who doesn't respect people or vice versa.
Yes, i think marriage should be more about purpose. If your goals and purpose can mingle then soci-economic status wouldnt be a big issue to worry about
For some it is not a big deal to date someone of different financial status, but what about you?

But dating lower class in certain aspects for me too, is a no!
Great point Manuela on the information part 😂😂😂 😂18:05 We were busy saying the oil curse, sijui whatnot while folks were studying for phDs on fully funded scholarships 😂
I hear in West Nile around my district there is oiloooo, I now have information 😄😄😄😄
@@lilianmukisa3291 Go for a phD ASAP
WWawooo.i love Angie and pumla. U gals speak my mind..I loved this topic .truth is compromise is painful and deadly .go for better .
Angie sees things in different angles und Analyses them with sense of maturity .I salute u for the good advice u giving the young girls.
Angie's comment... 😂😂😂 Thanks for the show. It was educative!
Kyoka Nambaasa. You'll pay us how much to abscond from our 8-5 jobs to come for a 2nd episode? 😅
@pumlanabachwa8668 maybe do one from your bed😅😅😅😅😅😅. Tukubanja! Just kidding.
@@pumlanabachwa8668😅😅😅 ikr!
@@pumlanabachwa8668
Yes pumla ...😂2 episodes per week
What a beautiful episode, when I was younger, I fought for happiness in hopes of building with a person but now I know better. Status grants a person predispositions in and on mindset which are in most cases progressive. Higher social status is the way to go
Go girl💪🏾
Could we have the guys' views on social classes?
There is always something new to learn when it comes to these ladies. Thank you a bunch.
My current partner and I are from different social classes(he is too polite he calls it two different sides of town😂😂)
At first we really struggled with the differences but slowly we got our ways out by focusing on the good sides of us. Btw i am the one from the low class 😂. I have learnt a lot today, i cant thank you enough ❤
Oo Rosette ...ur dearly missed, banange I just enjoy listening to all of u ladies, those stories n life experiences give me a balance to my own life. Thank u .
I liked Angie's wisdom and the way she articulated her points in the submission. Good job to the rest of the ladies!!
Thank you Moody😊
Missed resett's touch though.
I must admit the fact that every episode of bump love i watch, i learn at least a new vocabulary. especially from Rachel n pumla
Thank you Bump love. Some of us grew up in the village but as village princesses.
Am revising this episode, Manuela, I love your vulnerability and authenticity
She's a unique lady, a representation of the real African child who also fights through every obstacle to still Excell and yet acknowledge her past
Social class!. I went to shimoni before it was Upe, and guess what?, it has made me who I am today. They are all Drs, engineers, lawyers, big business owners. I cannot imagine finding them and am no body.
Do you know teacher busingye kellen
@@namulindageorgette.m6243 yes I remember her.
Thank you Rech for being real.
You all are different in a beautiful way... thank you for sharing ur experiences with us
Truth is that people should date from within their status to avoid unnecessary juggling in either relationship or marriage. This saves you from a lot of stress
Banange these powerful conversations, thanks ladies! ❤
Social status- we each agreed to pay their own bills - I went for the kids menu
Hahahahaaaa! The video is definitely changing 😅. 100 sub plaque blessings received 🙏🏾
100k🎉🎉🎉
l love the way you have defined this issue because many people have let very good people go just basing on wealth levels only forgeting that there is more to a strong foundation than wealth and that wealth can be created u like many of the other qualities
You people have made my evening... actually just like Mrs Mwine said..I enjoy watching Pumla in her class..I can't imagine the show without her. But where is Rosette anyway..I love you guys very big..I was really ready to watch the show for even one week...
Always glad to have you here
I love this, am just a fresh graduate of engineering, I have followed you guys throughout my campus ❤, Atleast am now educated about a partner I want, not coz of needs wants i want as person, bump love thank you. Am single but now after seeing this am in the clouds, I will wait again to get the right partner❤
Attagal! 🎉🎉🎉
I have watched this episode two times.........Angie you have been so phenomenal for this episode
Thank you, Bump Love. Angie, thank you for so many words of wisdom. You were on point, as if in my head.😂
Awwww. Thank you. It feels lovely when we make an impact in the community.
This episode is gold. Being on the same page is very important when making long-term decisions! Thanks ladies 🥰💖!
I like Angie's point of view about life she thinks just like me. Indeed she has the experience about life.
Ladies you are speaking wisdom! Such a good conversation. The status I am not willing to compromise on is education, however much a man has potential, I don’t see myself with an uneducated man. So a degree for me is a requirement 😂😂
THAT! 👏
Ditto!
I'm right here with you 😊
Me too
Are u alluding to a man with a bachelor's degree in : political science, history, psychology, English, etc; and if residing in the USA with tens of thousands of dollars in School loans coupled with interest rates! Or are u talking about an applied education?
Bcz a real, substantive education is meant to transform the recipient's life socially, economically.
Why be an alumni of University when l can't pay for my rent? Yet there are vocational Schools that can ensure a decent daily life!
For as long as the character is good,I don't mind about social status,I see it as something that changes
Guys let's not forget that status evolves overtime.
Angie Angie Angie Angie, you spoke to my soul today
Good advice to the anonymous lady's question.
I admire your humilty as you share your own experiences on tackling the issue at hand.
Thank you for the truths you've shared on how, in your own lives, have navigated some tricky situations you've found yourselves in to make them work for you and your spouse- family.
Angie, thank you.
Pamla you are always informed,in this case I will always chose kindness and care over anything else. Why should I have a wealthy man who doesn't respect people or vice versa.
Choose Kindness ❤
I swear❤❤
Thank you Bump Love, I hope the partner isn't rigid and can adjust accordingly.
Yes, i think marriage should be more about purpose. If your goals and purpose can mingle then soci-economic status wouldnt be a big issue to worry about
Exactly 💯
I love how Manuela tells her story ..go girl
Weldone ladies I really enjoyed your conversations. But some times you can't stop amusing me.
My take home from Angie...spend less time criticising your person but spend more time trying to understand why they're like that
I love you MM! You are too honest! I love it!!!
