Right now at my dealership 10 percent off msrp plus employee pricing and rebates. From a car salesman’s perspective this is spot on. But we can’t say what the deals will be they are new at the beginning of each month. And if a salesman isn’t up front with you leave there’s better dealerships.

@@anthonydorazio9650 As you know the intrest rate is determined by the credit worthiness of the buyer we can only give you that rate after we run your credit application and even when a person says they are "approved" with their bank we might work with their bank and their bank might have done a pre-aproval and still needs a credit application to be filled out. But since the customer waited to do that now the time is extended to fill it out provide and verify income and credit worthniesss so that is how the customer slows down the buying process. and all F&I officers have to present you the customer with the gap insurance and warranty options for two reasons 1 it is their job to do so and 2 if they do not the customer can come back and say I was never offered that and wanted it. But no F&I person should ever be pushy either.

I almost pulled the trigger on what seemed to be a great deal, (around 5% below msrp) but could not get this dealer to lift a few hundred in fake fees.. "He would not so I walked away" from a $90k plus truck deal all because I refused to purchase "window etching" and a "over state max" DOC fees..These fake fees also put him above cost on a previous offer..After just 2 weeks of continuing my search for quotes and holding out, newly listed vehicles are popping up and prices coming down even more finding better deals now...Good thing I waited as More inventory is showing up and more better deals apparently would indicate dealers are bending on OTD final costs as the year end gets closer.. I am typically finding those who offered 5% under MSRP are now offering up too 10% below now...Most smart buyers simply are not paying these inflated costs and the dealers are feeling it..I have seen trucks sell for top dollar though and its obvious these types are the dealer favorites with no knowledge..There is no doubt in my mind It pays to be patient, wait and watch the market..

Got a itemized quote, didn't verify/break down of a $1668.00 dealer fee..After 3 back/forth attempts to have them break down this fee, I was finally informed of a $549 DOC fee, $699.98 service fee which covered a 1st year oil change and inspection from their dealership, ( vehicle was in another state and they new it as if I'd drive 3 hours for a oil change), Nitrogen for tires ,lol. Insurance for my remotes, tire tax, title, reg and plate fees and of course the "famous electronic filing fee"! 💩..This is a perfect example of a great car salesman according to the management..I informed them I was not a formula 1 racer needing to knock off a couple thousands of a second off my track time with nitrogen, didn't want to be sold insurance, would take my vehicle 5 minutes away for inspection or oil change and drop the DOC fee to where it should be they replied "I don't think we can come to a deal"...THG knowledge is priceless..

Another reason why this is one of my favorite channels. You folks give the knowledge and facts in a nice condensed and quick format. With some channels, I'm left wondering what exactly is their advice at the end of the "news" style broadcast. Not here on THG, though ! I do have a question that I still have not found and answer to yet, though. I ordered an F-250 Super Duty back in late August because I could locate anything even remotely close to what I wanted within a 3hr drive. After spec'ng out the truck I wanted, the salesman saved and printed out a copy for me. It has the MSRP on it but not the invoice. My first time ordering a vehicle so I don't know what should be on the sheet. Salesman also told me that it's impossible to start negotiations until the truck hits their lot. Is this true? I have been told by a few that negotiations should have started right then and there.

    • @KevinHunter
      @KevinHunter  11 місяців тому +5

Negotiations will have to wait until the truck hits the lot, because... something that could happen before the truck arrives: The MSRP could actually change. Years ago, this never used to happen, but since the pandemic, it has happened multiple times. Also, be aware that by ordering the vehicle, you actually did the dealer a favor because it increased their allocations by 1 vehicle, so don't hesitate to negotiate on it like it's a truck they are wanting to get rid of. They can also go lower on an ordered vehicle because they haven't incurred any floor plan expense with it (that's a loan from the manufacturer). The website we plugged on this video known as RealCarTips.com has information pertaining to expected discounts of the various brands and models of vehicles. We encourage you to check them out! Gregg Fidan is great! And thanks for your kind comments!

Manufacture discounts at the end of the year, are nearly equal to the 1 year depreciation for that car or truck. It's not as much of a discount, as it is an adjustment to it's value.

I’m not planning to sell this car so don’t care (bought this new car for 38k plus tax and did not pay mark up or add any accessories). This is definite indication of cracking new car prices too. These are the best videos and thanks for all the info on keeping us from getting suckered. So many greedy dealers out there and you two have helped us save thousands..I'm looking to purchase a high end Chevy 2024 truck model in 2023 and wonder if these tactics will pertain in 2023 to the next 2024 year models or should we just go ahead going with the best deal? After shopping for months, negotiating and finding a good deal currently which is a $5.5k below MSRP and actually OTD is even below MSRP, it sounds too good to be true but they are willing to send a written purchase agreement..What do you think?..Thank you so much..

If the vehicle is already on a dealer lot, this stuff most definitely applies. It's another vehicle the dealer wants to move! Selling the vehicle you want clears the way for another allocation for the dealer in the first quarter of 2024.

@@KevinHunter ...Actually, 1st quarter allocation has already been determined as of Sept 1 to Oct 1 for all brands... Dealerships don't get one extra car "allocated" that arrives as soon as they sell another 2023. You said you worked in the business so you of all people should know that Kevin. With an error that glaring it really makes you wonder if you left "the biz" because you thought dealerships are so dirty as you claim or if you simply were a subpar employee that couldn't produce....

I for one could care less what incentives are available , I still won't buy one !
At least till the manufactures offer the type of vehicles I actually want at a price that is at least realistic, they can keep them for all I care. If I were to buy new, I just want a "plain Jane " no computer controlled car or truck with an engine with a carburetor and a standard transmission , what's so hard about that ?
Say what you want but I have had and do still have cars still that get 25-30 MPG or better that have no computers or fuel injection what so ever that I've had for 30+ years and some for longer .
Of course my 455 ci 71 boat tail Buick Riviera and 32 Ford 3 window supercharged big block hot rod won't exactly fit into that category but only putting around 2 K a year tops on either of them, no biggie ,,,LOL!
Still there's even less of a overall carbon foot print with those than most normal cars considering the environmental impact of modern ones that are wore out in 10 years of normal driving and the 32 is damn near a hundred years old , so do you think you'll ever see a nearly hundred year old KIA in the future that's still on the road ,,I highly doubt it ,,LOL
I'll continue to drive my pre 80's vehicles and just keep up with the maintenance and for me that's not an issue being a mechanic and body man. I normally keep my cars for at least 20 + years and I haven't bought a "new",, new car/truck sense 1982 and have absolutely no intentions of doing so now .

The word “leftovers” really doesn’t exist anymore in this business. Dealers do not have the level of inventory like in the past. The dealership I am at has Less than 12 2023’s in stock. So we will be done with them by mid November the latest!

It depends on which brand .. there are many 2023 and even some 2022 at many Domestic dealerships , like Stellantis dealerships.

Carvana has a no haggle pricing policy. The way to shop them is to compare to other dealers. If their price is better, and I have found at times that it is, you'll get a pretty user friendly experience. Leases are generally new cars. Since Carvana only deals with used cars, they don't have leases that we are aware of.

There won't be any year end deals. Good luck in finding anything cheap these days. If you do find something affordable, will the banks give you a loan to finance it.
Buying new vehicles is ridiculous right now and still high priced. Good luck in you searching for something right now.

Ram/Jeep are struggling with high inventory. They will probably have discounts. I have already received ford offers in the mail with good discounts that can be combined with other offers.

Much love friend. I wanted to tell you that The Father in Heaven’s Name is not “the LORD” it is YAHUAH (YA-WHO-AH) The Son’s Name is NOT “jesus” it is YAHUSHA (YA-WHO-SHA).
We must repent of our sins (sin is transgression of The Law Of YAHUAH The Father in Heaven. The Law YAHUAH The Father Gave through Moses).
We must repent of our sins and Have Belief On YAHUSHA The Messiah. HE Died and Rose three days later so that we can be forgiven of our sins!
Let’s all run to HIM today while we still can. Much love to you friend.
