      I love this! Thank you! I only started wearing make up and jewelry when I was about 24-30 years old. I took ballet and my parents and grandparents taught me to be modest and polite. I am kind of a tom boy and it's a learning process being more confident in my femininity.

    So apparently I have been doing things right the whole time, but the society and social media keeps shaming me for being modest, not wearing heels, not wearing makeup, not having my boobs out all the time, knowing how to dress for the environment, knowing how to act, speaking silently... Thank you for saying these things!

    My mother raised me exactly this way and to me it is all part of "being a lady", which does not have to do with being rich, but having manners and class.

    Something that struck me was that none of these points were oppressive at all, as compared to the other videos about being more ladylike or classy. All of them were rooted in self confidence, politeness, maturity, and moderation, all of which are great attributes to possess as a human being.
    Wonderful video thank you!

    Yes!!! My Irish Grandmother always said everything on your list at one time or another to me when growing up. Famous quote “Before you leave the house, look in the mirror and take one thing off.” Also so many times I’ve been asked why my husband and I never had children. People do not realize how hurtful of a question that is. It got to the point where enough was enough and I started to say it was none of their business, invasive and rude.

    Great points that should be taught to children so they can grow up with confidence and taste. I think I would add saying, "I'm sorry" when you know you have made a mistake and not make excuses for those mistakes. Mistakes happen because we are human. A sincere apology goes a long way to sealing a good friendship than excusing oneself. Thanks again for your good opinions.

      I agree push- up bras are cheap looking.
      Plus; push-up actually make a less feminine silhouette. The way a push-up bra is constructed, is to push from the side as well as from below, resulting in a pear-shape as compared with an hourglass shape.

    My favorite ever. Every mother, grandmother, aunt I have ever had or known told me these things. Being religious they said " dont show ANY skin" and it has stood me in good stead. Youd be surprised how chic a woman can be who shows only her face and her hands 😏

      I rather like showing some leg, arm or a shoulder, not my midriff as I’m not a teenager but kudos to you. I have total respect for Muslim types that feel they need to hide their body, but it does tickle me that you say “religious” then you want to hide the body ‘god gave you’. I’m not sure I’d call the totally covered look “chic” but you do you (or you do your grandmothers and aunt)

    • @tamarfischer283
      @tamarfischer283 3 роки тому +4

      @@JulieWallis1963 LOL. Firstly I'm not Muslim. also, I do like my body. Additionally, when I say ANY skin, I guess I'm exaggerating just a LITTLE. but you can like the body G-d gave you without exposing it to everybody. In the same way, I imagine you like your midriff. As for being modest and chic- why not?

    • @shireensaroea946

      @@tamarfischer283 I see it as not covering in fear, but draping in elegance . I try to look elegant , but still show some skin, as I live in Florida . But I still feel very respected .... why? In my mind I believe I’m respected - so perhaps the inner world reflects to the outer world . For me I realized it is less about fashion , and more how I interact . And I personally feel the sexiest thing a woman can do, is not flirt ....
      Hahah - if
