I like the ffb clip app on dynamic and auto it makes your ffb as strong as possible but reduces the gain if you start clipping and when you are not it increases the gain again. It's the best of both worlds
Really would like to know your thrustmaster profiler settings bud. Sorta makes a big difference combined with these great AC settings. Would like to know FFB overall. 75% or a 100% thats what most use. Constant Periodic Spring Damper
I know you're probably not going to see this now but I think this may solve the issues I have with AC FFB that I was saying about on last nights stream, GM does it again 👍🏻
"Once you have done that you'll be a happy little sim racer wondering why you spend so much money on a headset, steering wheel and everything else, so... eehm..."
i think you can bind the handbrake to a button on a separate page for key configs. where you attempted to do it is only for when you have a dedicated analog stick connected.
Fan question :) I have t300. How good are Direct Drive wheels compared to t300 . Is there are big difference or maybe you feel hidden forces which t300 can't provide ?
DUUUUUDE! I had no idea about changing the brakes to completely linear. I have clubs port v2's as well and when I changed it to what you suggested I was immediately nearly 2 seconds faster on the Red Bull Ring. Thanks mate!
Just downloaded assetto corsa to be able to drive the nordschleife. I already had ACC installed anw working fine on my secondary tv monitor in my race seat. Great fun! But in assetto corsa I can't get it to play on the secondary screen. Stuck on loading and my primary monitor on my PC showing the game. How can I get the gameplay screen to my secondary monitor? Any tips?
I found that AC inherently has a "wobble" problem in the ffb. For example, when you are driving in a straight line at speed and you turn and release the wheel slightly and quickly the car tends to want to continue to swerve back and forth, at times this effect will build until the car spins. This is NOT realistic. Apparently AC didn't factor in a self center quite well enough like within RaceRoom...so... The solution I found was to set the centering spring in the G27 profiler to around 25%-30% which largely reduces this issue and makes the car much more stable at high speed maneuvering and generally stabilizes the car when turning back into a straight line. Ideally set the center spring force just high enough until you can turn the wheel in the car while it is parked and it doesn't turn back by itself. If you turn the wheel while parked and it comes back to center gradually then turn the centering force down just low enough until it no longer re centers. For me that was around 27%. I have also found that turning up the minimum ffb setting inside AC to around 20% will tighten up the feel of the wheel when hovering around center, as 5% makes the wheel feel very lose at the center point. Ideally, turning up the minimum force until you just start to get chatter in the wheel and then dial it back down a bit is a good rule of thumb. The above settings were dialed in with the Lamborghini Aventador, other cars may vary but follow the guide lines stated and you should experience a tighter and more stable force feedback experience. The combination of the above two methods will make the ffb much tighter and more stable.
Is there an option to have a softlock depending on what car i drive? ... I hate that i always have to change from 900 degrees to 360 when i want to go from streetcar to F1 for example.
And then if you use a potato wheel like the g27, you run a steplog 2 test in wheel check, use the LUT Generator to generate a linear force lut, and then just change the first 4 or 5 value so you don't get/minimize the annoying transition of the wheel switching direction with two motors going from 0%/0%-2%/20%. After that your wheel should feel pretty much like a real car except maybe won't be as smooth as seamless be it because of the wheel or because ac's ffb by default runs at 150hz and the physics engine itself at 300hz (putting ffb at the same frequency as the physics engine is as easy as changing the skip ffb steps value in assettocorsa/system/cfg/assettocorsa.ini to 0 from 1). Stefano did express on one recent stream that his wish is to opimise ac to the point where it can run at 500hz.
Naso Duko If you mean in the Thrustmaster control panel, he answered in another comment that he was using Overall 100%, Constant 100%, Periodic 100%, Spring 100%, Damper 0% and Centre: By the game.
Hi maestro...thnx for this one. I'am new to AC. Where can i find and set up my rear mirror??? Everybody says press f11 but nothing will happen. Thnx in advance!!!
Hi. I just got into vr racing and this tutorial video is awesome but ran into a snag. When I went to download sol from racedepartment it's requiring me to pay a subscription in order to download sol. Is this new or am I in wrong place. Please help if you could. No one else has responded and I'm at a stand still . Thank you.
Please someone help me. The game keeps on auto correcting my oversteer. I've been all throughout the menu and I have no idea what setting makes this happen. I have stability control off.
the great thing about ac is its easy 2 set multiple profiles 4 wheel. i have a few different rims 4 my fanatec with a profile for no 'canned' effects & 1 with set around 10-20%. i switch between them depending how i feel. i personally like a bit of road feeling. i think it only adds detail 2 the ffb. the 1 thing i am still finding tricky is setting cars up. oh mighty GM please make a vid giving us your take on car setups!
I have g27 it won't let me configure it as sequential shifter, when i click on use separate shift to configure and move gear stick nothing happens ??? can setup with flippers but not gear shiftier to say it's p...sing me off is understatement. Any tips would be appreciated.
Hello, need help here!! Just bought the logitech g29, and my throttle does not go all way to 100% and it's not recogzning cluch + shifter... what can i do? thank you!
My setup becomes so glitchy once I connect it to assetto Corsa. Sometimes my shifter doesn’t work, my wheels really glitchy and my pedals still continue to go for a few seconds even after I let go
Hi I don't generally use the clutch{sad i know} but i am trying to find out how i can change the clutch pedal into being my brake pedal on assetto competizione, can you help?. tks in advance Den
I have a triple screen setup with a resolution of 5845 x 1080 and also Oculus. I tried your settings and if I select 1920 x 1080 at any HZ my PC completely restarts . Now if i select the resolution that my triples use (5845 x 1080 119 HZ ) the game starts properly with the Oculus. Im not sure if my image on the Oculus is 1 to 1 scale.
It is in the like game difficulty setting before you go in to something like an offline practice session. So you go like drive, practice, summary, or something like that
Hi, is there a way to adjust steering ratio, or lock because a lot of cars are to twitchy, or very sensitive, in other sims there is an option either in the garage or in the main menu, this is stopping my enjoyment of the game?
so long as you match the rotation of your wheel in the profiler and then the game the cars should have same lock and sensitivity as the real ones. I don't think there is a way to change the lock car by car.
. FFB Clipping isn’t bad, if you accept the feel using numpad +. It’s infinitely better than using the ffbclip which adds a smoothing filter and mushes up your ffb.
Try setting it to "Seperate Shifter" in the Shifter settings. I have to do this for it to work in-game with my Fanatec CSR wheel. Otherwise it only works in the Settings menu.
im having an issue where when i shift into 1st and second it dosent shift for a while them finally shifts after a while or after reshifting multiple times i know my gears work properly so im confused asto why this is happening can ayn1 help
I have a Logitech G25 and after following all these steps I don't notice any difference at all. My FFBClip reading is about 92% high. I think I'm going to roll everything back.
pflau1 Well GM is using a T300 in this setup, the T300 is a belt driven drive and so feels and works slightly differently to the Logitech wheels so YMMV following this guide.
hi. I tried your settings on my Clubsport base 2.5. When adding road and curb effects it makes the wheel almost impossible to drive. Noisy, spiky, horrible feeling. Not even close to the feeling you have in a real car.
they must optimize the game more because months ago on my 980 TI turning blur on 12 and reflections maxed out I got 40-60 fps on 1920x1080p maxed out . Now I use 21:9 3440x1440 and I use everything maxed out aa world shadows smoke post effects reflections etch etch and I get 50-70 fps with 23 cars on Redbull or spa that's really strange. maybe drivers from nvidia .... I was ready to use 980ti sli but I guess optimization is the best.
Heyy what do I set my steering wheel degrees in my driver when I have it at 900 in AC. Do I set it as low as I can? Don't really know if he said 90 or 900 at 18:40
These Settings are pretty general. I doubt that they would change that much over the years, especially because the feel of FFB is pretty much down to preference.
Wow, I've been playing AC for years. Finally I have the best settings and understanding. Feels like a new game. Cheers!
I like the ffb clip app on dynamic and auto it makes your ffb as strong as possible but reduces the gain if you start clipping and when you are not it increases the gain again. It's the best of both worlds

The 2 first 100% the 2 last 0%, then auto set by the game

Your a legend!! Just entering sim racing, got a wheel and wasn't getting any response in A.C gameplay. Sorted me right out. Thanks a bunch👍
I always enjoy watching you race (weird eh),but these kind of vids really do help people who like myself are new to the sim racing world.
"Once you have done that you'll be a happy little sim racer wondering why you spend so much money on a headset, steering wheel and everything else, so... eehm..."

You can I just forgot :)
Fan question :)
I have t300. How good are Direct Drive wheels compared to t300 .
Is there are big difference or maybe you feel hidden forces which t300 can't provide ?
Would be nice to see the settings put to use with a little bit of racing at the end of the video, just as a little satisfying end point.
True, but then 40% of the videos on my channel are racing in AC :)
DUUUUUDE! I had no idea about changing the brakes to completely linear. I have clubs port v2's as well and when I changed it to what you suggested I was immediately nearly 2 seconds faster on the Red Bull Ring. Thanks mate!
lol nice
Can you a video like you did setting up the wheel on how to set up the chassis and suspension settings?
Just bought a Logitech G pro wheel. Do you have to calibrate it first? I dont see it in the presets menu? Whats the first thing i need to do.
Just downloaded assetto corsa to be able to drive the nordschleife.
I already had ACC installed anw working fine on my secondary tv monitor in my race seat.
Great fun!
But in assetto corsa I can't get it to play on the secondary screen. Stuck on loading and my primary monitor on my PC showing the game.

oke question how do you change to manual cause I can upshift and downshift but if I do nothing it also just gos automatic
whenever i recenter the camera in a vr game (like ac) it feels like im still looking somehwat to the left
Thanks for your good explanation! I will set up the options later on and give it a try
I had to turn ON combine keyboard to get my button box working as my wheel has no buttons.

there was an issue with the pp effects that if you had them turned off the lights didn't show so no brake lights, did they fix that?
What about turning off the auto shifter? I want to turn it off permanently, having to hit CTRL + G is ridiculous every time I race.
Any chance to get steering wheel's d pad working in menu? Thanks
can you kindly give us and the profile settings for the t300

Hi maestro...thnx for this one.
I'am new to AC.
Where can i find and set up my rear mirror??? Everybody says press f11 but nothing will happen.
Thnx in advance!!!
how do i apply the video settings? if i change the resolution it doesn't do anything at all.
Ever do settings for xbox Asetto Corsa? Love the sim, online xbox with Asetto sucks, and tire slippage is non-existent for xbox x.

How do you know what rotation settings the game is optimised for between different games, i.e. F1, Assetto Corsa, forza etc...?
I am having a problem with one car taking way too long to slow down even though I am pressing the brake way down.
how come my steering wheel works by itself but when I try playing vr headset and the steering wheel doesn't work
The handbrake mapping in the first section is for analog ones only.
Yep I think the other option is on the next tab along :) brain was to busy managing the talking lol.
Hello, need help here!! Just bought the logitech g29, and my throttle does not go all way to 100% and it's not recogzning cluch + shifter... what can i do? thank you!
if you push both buttons left+right it looks behind, did when i used to play ac.
It does on a screen but in VR it centers the tracking :)
Very nice vid mate a little question to you why my pedals speed max or 0. Thanks
Hey i gave same wheel and I don’t have shifter can i do automatic shifting in options ?
Great video.. Helped heaps and clarified a few things for me :-)

Im not sure if my image on the Oculus is 1 to 1 scale.
how can i change the gearbox to manual? I searched about 30min but cant find anything.
It depends on the car too.
I would like to know this too. Its automatic on every car....
It is in the like game difficulty setting before you go in to something like an offline practice session. So you go like drive, practice, summary, or something like that
I found out you just go CTRL G while in a game
In difficulty click on auto trans and it won't be highlighted anymore

I try to change gears but nothing happens. And 2nd gear id reverse

The shifter is fully connected and it recognises it in the settings, but it won't work in the game. Anyone got advice?
Andre_ Sch i have the same problem have you fixed it yet
Try setting it to "Seperate Shifter" in the Shifter settings. I have to do this for it to work in-game with my Fanatec CSR wheel. Otherwise it only works in the Settings menu.
It only works with cars that have a shifter in real life

I notice no g-force effect I swapped to Rift from triple's ?
Tried max setting but no difference.
As always ... Brilliant
