Have you tried reinstalling the app? By that I mean deleting entire Sidekick folder, and installing the latest version again? While it's possible for Sidekick to crash AC in some very rare circumstances (and that will be fixed in the next version), it really shouldn't be possible for it to freeze your entire PC.

There is an updated HeliCorsa (beta release) in the AC-Forum by Minolin that has fixed the gliching in the grid before the cars start moving. (well, in general while the car is stationary)

Not truly an App, but do you know how to use a LUT curve on your force feedback? It's what gives you the best FFB tailored to your wheel, it's an easy process but you have to look it up cause you need to run a little iRacing app that does a force test on your wheel to determine the best curve and you input the result on AC, the LUT FFB is not a 3rd party function, but you have to turn it true and point it to your result on an AC .ini file and thats when Content Manager (amazing AC alternative launcher!) comes in in the sense that aside from the test you do in the iRacing app (a simple free .exe you can download) he manages the rest and even shows you the curve. LUT really made my wheel feel perfect, you see, AC uses GAMMA as default, which means from the weakest to strongest force you have a smooth curve line, what WheelCheck does is turn your wheel many times from the weakest to strongest force and build a LUT curve according to your wheel engine unique forces, wear, etc... Cheers!
It is free. There are only a few features that are locked. If you want to you can pay 0.01$ and he'll still give you a key (which i would not recommend. Just give him 2 bucks so he can buy a coffee)

i agree SRS and RSR are a must, and i still have you're voice pack installed on RSR (",) but for me personally i like to run without a HUD other than the original dashboards of the cars etc. maybe i would run helicorsa if i was one a single screen but whilst on triples i just use my mirrors Eeeeek!. ive not tried setups and run all cars at stock settings, but maybe i should bite the bullet and give them a whirl :)
How's the vive support for AC lately? Are the scaling issues fixed? I haven't sim raced for the last year and am thinking of getting a wheelstand pro but don't want to splurge the cash if AC isn't working properly Edit: Nevermind I tried it and the scale seems fine :)

I'm gonna plug epic race for a second because it's fucking great. It's a mod that plays music when you do things and you can change what songs play too. It's really a godsend app.
Hello GM, slightly off topic but how do you capture AC, although I'm using the Vive i get the full screen view on the monitor, but the aspect ratio is completely out, very stretched on the horizontal. Project Cars is fine the window is just right, nice and zoomed not so fisheye.
I agree with all but RSR, it may contain lap times of older versions of the game so some fastest time may not necessarily be a true indication of what can be set in the current version due to say tire model/aero etc changes.
true but for people like me that will never do WR laps , its still nice to see in a lose idea where you place and if you get better. Best thing with lap apps and lap times is rather than looking at the WR but more to see what is the actual pace for a given track for top 0.5% , so that you know if you are doing something massively wrong.
Still highly prefer RaceEssentials over Side Kick, which are both from the same dev. He´s not supporting RaceEssentials anymore, but a guy called WallyM (probably not his real name) took over and there´s an updated version at the AC-forum. Just use the search-bar.
I dont understand simracingsystem. I make an accout. Try to DL the software and it says nope: not allowed. I wait a couple days, try to login and it says i dont have an account. I dont understand why so I gave up.

The s1mm3n yah full name it's to make rejoining harder for wreckers, I think you could use a real sounding name though and probably get away with it mind you.
@GM: Regarding Helicorsa ........ take a look at CarRadar -> www.racedepartment.com/downloads/car-radar.15743/ The difference is that CarRadar shows also the rotation angle of your opponents. Especially in tight corners and hairpins this makes a lot of a difference. Helicorsa is a fantastic app, but i have recently replaced it with CarRadar.
Guys SetupMarket is useless for me as a console player. The dampers always say numbers like 38 but I cant even set my dampers up that high. Is it different on the PC or are they trolls?

Good video, but don\t agree about the sidekick. I also was excited about it when found it. But then after some usage, disappointed. Yes. it has info that already is in standard apps, yes it combines the mostvaluable information in one place. But the way it does that I personally don't like. It has several fields with info, but these fields can be set to show different information, but it does not have labels, what you actually see for the particular moment. Is this you personal best, is this a laps or position? How can I say what info is displayed in tyres window, is it a temp, pressure or something else? USELESS. O, and a place you put it on your screen - when I watch your video I don't look at your driving, at the track, I just staring at the sidekick !!! /// ^)))

AI In AC Is pretty aggressive... and not in a Racing Sense. Feels like playing Gran Turismo against my parents sometimes.

Use obs and manually re scale the capture window by holding shift untill it looks right.
