@@Lauren12311 tbh I’ve only tried the foaming one and it was fine.. but I prefer vanicream gentle cleanser & the la roche posay hydrating one :) mabe try the hydrating one first! But I also heard good stuff about the hydrating cream-to-foam cleanser
I have experienced pimples for one year. I started getting better by doing little things like using a clean towel and changing my pillowcase frequently. I use a gentle face wash from litttlextrra riiceberry which is pH balanced. Consistency has worked the most. Now, I have a simple 3-step routine that I use daily, and I'm slowly healing. It has boosted my confidence. Let's be positive together!
Really like the riiceberry face wash; it truly makes the skin smooth. After using this, the skin will not feel dry. This has so quickly become my favourite facewash. I have been using this for approximately 26 days now. It is suitable for all skin types.
as an oily girly, i have several tips: 1. blotting papers are your *best* friend. if you want something more eco friendly, try a volcanic stone oil roller. it works over my makeup and keeps your skin matte and gets rid of any slick. 2. my dermatologist says that oily skin is caused by genetics and hormones. environment can make it worse or better, but you can't change your skin type. so hydrating wont make it better or worse. With that being said, if you do not hydrate properly, you will still be oily, and also dry. Which is no fun. Please use moisturizer! 3. a gentle clay mask is great for cleaning your pores out once in a while. at most use once a week. I recommend the Caudali vitamin c pink clay mask, the teami green tea matcha and lemongrass mask, or the ordinary salicylic acid clay masque
I used to hate having oily skin. I would try so many ingredients aimed at helping regulate oily skin but nothing would really work. In recent years I’ve grown to like my oily skin, I’ve noticed that as long as I keep a healthy skin care routine my oily skin appears less greasy and more dewy. I’ve also been blessed to not have acne prone oily skin. We should all try to love our skin, quirks and all.
I have REALLY oily skin and I absolutely love the coconut water cream, however the ultra repair oil control also from first aid beauty tops is tenfold! Much more hydrating, skin feels soooo soft and totally keeps oil production at bay, I am obsessed!
I have combination skin that is acne prone. One game changer I had recently that repaired my skin barrier is investing in good hydrating toner and getting good light moisturizer with ceramide and using salicylic acid + mandelic acid ampoule every 3-4 days once. My skin is less oily, breaking out less and barrier is restored
Hyram, I started watching you in 2020. You recommended a skincare routine for acne and dry skin that saved my life. I had severe cystic acne on my cheeks and dry dry skin everywhere else. Ive consistently used the great barrier relief, versed moisturizer and Cerave cleanser since then and I have legitimately overcome all my skin problems. You're a hero my friend.
I'm very oily, I _can_ use regular moisturizing sunscreens but the only way for me to feel like they're not cloaking my face in moisture is to first over-apply the sunscreen, and then gently blot the excess moisture with a paper towel. That's pretty time-consuming for me to do, so I've just taken to using Bellflower Fresh Watermelon sunscreen (Yesstyle or Stylevana) or use Australian Gold tinted mineral sunscreen (Ulta). Easy to use and not greasy on my face. :)
For sunscreen… I struggled forever finding a sunscreen without a white cast, great coverage, helps keep my oil at bay for as long as possible, and useable under makeup. If you can get your hands on VICHY Capital Soleil UV Age Daily SPF 50+ Invisible Sun Cream with Niacinamide 40ml I cannot recommend it enough. Something about it plumps my skin too and I can’t wait to use it every morning because it brings my tired full skin and wakes it up. I have been on extremely sunny vacations, on the beach for hours, and my face has never burned. I wish I found this stuff sooner. It also doesn’t leave a sunscreen scent on your skin like others I have tried. Loveeee it. And doesn’t break me out. I have sensitive skin on top of all of that haha.
BOJ sunscreen and skin1004 hyalu-cica sunscreen are the best for all skin types -- especially oily like me! They made me love wearing sunscreen every single day. Truly a game changer!
I have an oily nose and everything else is normal. In the morning, i will just splash my face with water and use a super gentle cleanser just on my nose. Then at night wash my full face with a cleanser.
Y'all, I have a holy grail sunscreen for oily skin: The Vichy Capital Soleil Mattifying Face Dry Touch Sun Cream SPF. I used to use the Korean Espoir Water Splash Sunscreen Fresh SPF50+ PA++++ which was also amazing. However, after a while the perfume in it started triggering my rosacea.
For sunscreens I’d highly, highly recommend the Paula’s Choice Super Light Wrinkle Defense Spf 30 it’s actually crazy how well it works. The Bondi Sands Sun Daze Tinted Spf 50 is just like it but without the Salicylic Acid.
heyy Hyram, I've been watching your videos since lockdown and just wanted to say a huge thank you for saving my oily skin I've never had any huge skincare problems or breakouts but after watching your videos and comparing my skin now to before it just looks SO much better, please keep making these great videos and I hope you have a nice day :)

One thing about the Scinic sunscreen... i've been using it recently for about a month now and kept switching it out with other sunscreens to see if it's just my skin reacting to it or just the sunscreen but it really stings your eyes upon application. It's like the Isntree hyaluronic SPF but a tiny bit heavier but I like the Isntree one better because it doesn't sting my eyes
Yesss, I wanted to weite the same, I use the big 200ml version on the face all summer and my face doesn't doesn't look oily even after like 5 reapplications. But ot is drying either, love it.
Can we have a dry skin Q&A!! I had oily skin had a baby and now it's dry..... and I don't know how to handle this 😅 watching this for my oily skined hubby❤
Hey Hyram, do you have a video for oily skincare products that are "reasonable"? Like not cheap but also not an arm and a leg? I feel like certain products you can get away with "minimum" and others it's just really better to splurge. If not, what product(s) would you highly recommend splurging on? (cleanser, exfoliator, moisturizer, sunscreen, etc)
Because it helps regulate oil production, not moisturizing can cause your skin to over produce more oil to hydrate itself since you're not " putting it back into your skin ". Hope tht helps😊
I have an uber oily tzone. I use Oil of Olay SPF 15 for sensitive skin. Affordable and doesn't break me out. It's very useful since I use Nava MD tretinoin.
Hmmm. I think it also depends on the weather of where you live. For example, in a tropical area, my skin is a normal skin. I never had to put any moisturiser. When iI moved to a dry area, after water wash my face, if I don't put any moisturiser, I can feel my skin stripping after a couple minutes.
I do have a question. My skin is only mildly oily when I don’t wear sunscreen and EXTREMELY OILY when I have sun screen on. Is that common and how can I prevent that? Thank you very much for this video. Like you said everything these days seems to be geared for someone wanting glowy skin. It has been a challenge finding products that work to control the oil. I had normal skin all my life but after I entered my 30s my skin was like “oh I’m now going to create so much oil that it seeps into your eyes hahah”.

Btw great video I loved to see attention to more greasy skins and I can't wait to try out the Rovectin moisturizer ☺️
Thanks for another great video! I wanted to ask you about another sunscreen for oily skin that I don't find mentioned in many videos but wondered if you've tried it. It's the Botanical SPF 50 Tinted Face Sunscreen Lotion from Australian Gold. Talk about mattifying... it almost turns into a very thin powder layer once it dries. I like it but it's almost too drying and has this weird effect that makes sweat kind of sit on top of it rather than be absorbed by the skin. I really liked the Bliss Block Star in the beginning because of the tint but I still find that after a couple of hours my oil still comes through... Anyway interested to know if you've ever tried it!

Do you have any recommendations for an overnight moisturizer for oily skin? I like to use a more lightweight moisturizer during the day (I use the versed), but overnight I like a heavier night cream. Is this even recommended for oily skin? Or should you use a water/ gel based moisturizer at all times ?
hi hyram! i need some advice 😭 i live in the tropics. i recently exposed myself to the sun too much and even though i did wear sunscreen, i got sun burnt. is there anything i absolutely should not do to prevent worsening the sunburn and anything i can do to help it heal faster? my skin is extremely dry now and even multiple layers of moisturiser isn’t enough. i am trying out slugging to lock in my moisturisers.
I’m starting clindamycin and tretinoin, I wanted to know what moisturizer would go with it and should I double cleanser. I have oily skin and I’ve been using sunscreen too but it feels like my skin is so oily when I’m out in the sun, I want to know what I can do to make it stop feeling so oily too.

it’s funny that he thought that everything in the skincare market is geared towards people with dry skin when I (very dry skin person) feels like all the skincare products for teens just treat acne and that’s it. like how bout ezcema, dry skin, hypo/hyper pigmentation??!??!
Do you have any recommendations for oily skin that doesn’t respond to salicylic acid? I used various salicylic acid treatments for years and had terrible skin, took a long break, then recently went through a whole bottle of the Paula’s choice treatment you recommend (over the course of months, of course) and didn’t see any difference.

it’s funny that he thought that everything in the skincare market is geared towards people with dry skin when I (very dry skin person) feels like all the skincare products for teens just treat acne and that’s it. like how bout ezcema, dry skin, hypo/hyper pigmentation??!??!
Cerave is aimed mostly towards dry eczema skin :)
Glycolic or tretinoin. Also azelaic acid
@@conspicuous1010 Thanks, I already use tretinoin, I'll look into the others!
