WHO WE ARE
SkyFi Audio is a small startup business specializing in the purchase, reconditioning, and reselling of select high end audio equipment. We only buy equipment that we admire and are passionate about. No mid-fi, no gimmicks, and no junk.
Each piece of equipment is cosmetically restored and fully tested in our well-equipped lab by an engineer with 30+ years of experience in the HiFi world. If it does not meet or exceed the original manufactures specifications, it will not be sold. We are very selective about the equipment we purchase, focusing on mostly analog, high-build quality, American, and European built units.

I bought a beautiful Lenco L70 from 1960.. Made a new layered plinth, greased the main bearing, put on a brand new machined idler wheel from Italy, and a Denon DL 103.. It never ceases to amaze me, hos good it sounds.. And for very little money.
As a proud owner of a Garrard 301 I'm glad to see it in the mix. What a fantastic collection! Just WOW!
I must say your shop has great pieces , just from viewing few UA-cam videos. It's unfortunate in Toronto , Canada we don't have anything even in comparison to your collection of extraordinary vintage pieces. Not to mention your informative comments and observations of equipment in your possession. Glad I found your channel .
Wish you were local, love looking at vintage tables, in my 60’s and thought I’d see them all but this video was an eye opener. That Nakamichi was something else. 👍
What a Beautifully laid out shop (Store). I would have to win the UK Lottery, so I could afford Two Garrard 301's and put them back In the Radio station situation they were designed for. I should have taken a set home, when they were ripping them out, and replacing them for the New CD players. Thanks for sharing.
Got a Thorens TD 160 with a Mørch UP4 arm which i bought in ‘86. Still got it and it still lives up to my needs and expectations. German buildt - you can’t beat it
Wow! That Linn lp12 is incredible!
I’m going to get a new (used) turntable in the coming year. Your selection is very nice. Your store is filled with wonderful assortment stereo equipment, love it !
The TD 124, when restored and modded correctly in a high mass plinth, new spring motor suspension and an external power supply (among a few other mods ofc),I believe is a truly world class ultra high performing machine. You can take this beauty into the 90+ rumble figures. Wow of less than .02% and speed deviation of less than +-0.04% (that's many times less deviation than most ultra high end turntables in the 100-450k range in the market today. It belongs with an ultra high end arm and cartrige. When the noise from the big, high revving and torquey motor is taken care of few turntables beat this. Only ones I can think of are the Rockport Sirius III, Monaco Grand Prix and NVS Reference in terms of speed accuracy.
Great tour..I'm still using my old TD-125 MkII with the SME 3009 tonearm. Rebuilt ALL the electronics last year.
Very cool and a great combo. What cartridge did you find works well?
@@SkyFiAudio using two. My ancient Shure v15 type 5 with a rebuilt stylus by Soundsmith and also an LP Gear Deft-2. The deft2 has a slightly warmer sound than the V15 and only cost $80.0 !
Avid are still manufacturing turntables and have now introduced amplifiers and speakers to the range her in the uk.
Great to see this wonderful collection of turntables. Thanks.
Paul
Wow!! What an outstanding collection of turntables!!
Love those Nakamichi’s👍
If you like Nakamichi products this channel will bring you MANY VIDEOS OF PLEASURE.
I always enjoy your video’s very high end equipment out of my price range but fun to watch have a great weekend
Hey glad you enjoyed it. There is plenty of great vintage stuff out there at an affordable level, dont give up.
What a great collection of turntables. Those nakamichis are cool!!!!!
Apparently they made an even more complicated model just before that didn't sell well.
contacting you from the UK...I have an "Avid Volvere MK4" Turntable purchased new in 2006 with an SME series 4 tonearm and Ortofon Kontrapunkt C MC cartridge....Mine was the very first of the new MK4s sold and I dealt partly direct with the company owner and designer..it differs mainly in the Rubber Bands on the suspension towers pull Inwards on the mk 4 rather than Outwards on your mk 3 model..... In the late 1970s my Mother used to work for "Plessey" a UK company that also owned "Garrard" and "Eagle International" hi fi manufacturers. She was able to purchase Brand New "Garrard 401" Turntables for £35.00 each !!! to clear stock as the demand for Idler Drive Turntables was pretty much no more by that era. Now look at what they cost on the used market !.....Love your Videos and great stock in your shop.
Had a Well-tempered tonearm on a heavily modified Oracle Delphi II, Audioquest MC cartridge. So open, and extended at both ends.
Incredible beautiful B&W Nautilus!
Pretty awesome you guys have in your store!! If you would have similar store in Germany, would visit you weekly!!! Thanks a lot!!
Great video. Great turntables. You’ve got some mouth watering great speakers standing around as well!
Thanks for this really enjoyed the tour!
I'm not in the market, but this was Nice to watch, ......with my lifelong fascination with turntables. Thanks!
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a store! Unbelievable 😮
Bring back the VFET and innovative pre and power amplifiers too! Thanks for the video. I would sell my left nut for the Kenwood and add the ceramic platter as well.
Great shop and great collection !
Cool with all those turntables
This was great! Thank you.
I have to get over to your shop and meet your guys. I have a custom Ariston S-90 with Linn Ekos arm that I would like to show you and do a possible cart upgrade. Great video thanks and keep up the great work.
Please do!
The Well Tempered Lab turntable is beautifully machined.
Probably the simplest and coolest tonearm made.
excellent in one word, thank you
You're very welcome!
Expensive watch. Business must be good!
Love your videos! Please keep making them. Hope to snag a new to me cartridge from you at some point. Love the lush sound of my woodie Grado, but open to try new things for sure. Thanks!
Thanks, will do!
Videos getting ever better Fernando. Nice watch. And was that a Lancia on the lift? (Your friend with the "cheapest shitty Wilsons")
Hey thanks Ron. Wish I had more free time for the videos. Yes that was my Integrale Evo. Doing some turbo work on it. Hey even the cheapest Wilsons are super.
Any Oracle Turntable?
Nice turntables and I like your watch. I was waiting for you to spin me some wax, and crank up the Edison cylinder player! I see a potato masher speaker, just sitting all lonesome by itself on the floor ! Oh JADIS amps, what I think are the most beautiful amps in the world.
haha, good eye with the potato masher, all alone in the floor. The Edison works super well, need to get more cylinders.
OK, we want a "what's on the lift" segment. Your M3 suddenly became an Integrale in the last video, and now it looks like an Escort Cosworth. I love your taste in cars so please share :-)
Good eye Sir. Cossie just came in, love the thing. Need to start a separate channel just for the cars. Got plenty more to share. Keep watching! I will totally do "whats on the lift" as well as "whats on the wrist"
Love the videos and equipment - first rate! I wondered why I never see any Empire turntables at SkyFi? What are your throughs about them?
garard 301 i like.
I Do NOT want a Turntable …….. I want another Thorens like i had in high school .. with fishing line and weights …. Argghhhhhhh
Hi love the vid!! Can you do the same thing to check the temp gauge?
Great shop thanks for the interesting tour
You bet
I'm on UA-cam and yes I'm finding this "useful"...MANY MANY THANKS.
Glad it was helpful!
Beautiful tables my friend. Tell me, do you know the very 1st Pioneer table that was ever produced? If so what is that model number sir
It's like Aladin's cave
Gracias por el video. Todo muy interesante y caro. El IWC está de más.
I love turntable love record lp is a classic look like that record spind is cool n classic 😎👍
Great collection
Thanks!
Why do you take the dust cover off? Does it sound different with it off? I have 2 Ariston Audio RD11s turntables. Should I take the cover off to play?
Thanks.
I don’t know if it’s something you can answer. I have a Rotel rp 3000 turntable I am looking for an original anti skate weight. Would you have something if that nature ??? Thanks
lets be be more accurate.... ;-) the first VPI is a HW-19 mk1/junior, the second VPI is a HW19-mk3, and the tonearm on the AVID is not a standard RB300, but probaly a silver RB-600 (comes likely from a Rega P25)
You sure know your tales, thanks for the info Alex!!
I was watching and hoping you would have a Garrard 401, as I am in the process of refurbishing one at the moment.
I love the 401, even more than the 301. All sold out at the time. Good luck with it.
Wicked turner.
Do you carry Sota Sapphire Turrtables?
The Thorens 160 is gone already? (not of the Skyfi web page)
Yeah sorry, got picked up Friday. Subscribe to our email blast on our website and youll be the first to know when the next one pops.
Great shop!
It sure is! Thanks!
What do you think about the technics 1200 GR ?
you did a great job on the first one and i love it , what is the price

Never heard the vinyl, but do want to know which kind of vintage turntable is suitable for newbie.
Probably a Thorens TD125, 126 etc.
Which tonearm is on that Roksan? I don't know much about that brand but it doesn't really look like the OEM
I think it's a Kuzma 4-point.
It's an older Wheaton Tri-Planar arm. That "Roksan" really has very little to do with the original Roksan Xerxes. Also, that material he mentioned is a DuPont plastic called Delrin, not Delron.
Delrin it is indeed. Didn't sound right when I was saying it. Correct on the Wheaton too. Thanks mate.
Any Empire tables?
Not at the time. Sorry.
@@SkyFiAudio I have an Empire 398 in excellent condition but missing the counter weight if you guys ever come across one pretty please.
where did you get your TT setup tools?
Just collected them over the years.
@@SkyFiAudio cool. love your TT bench!
The statement is "first and foremost", not "first and foremore".
GARRARD 401. RUDEBOY TURNER.
401 is better and Artisan Fidelity are the BEST at restoration of these turntables..When you see one you will drool!! However you may also have a heart attack at the price 🙂
Makes me laugh how Americans pronounce the word Garrard 😂😂😂.
we don't think about you at all
Your stuff is way overpriced. Double of what it should be. Not bad though
Your audio is terrible.
