Hi Fernando, love your tours and especially your recommendations!! Greatly appreciated...I wish there where not some 1.000+km in between us to visit your awesome store! Saw in last vid a Ford Cosworth in your garage, was owning one long, long time ago! Enjoy the party!! Greets from Germany
Those Apogee Stages have a reality-aspect that is so uncanny I never heard it in any other speaker. (Give them a lot of power though to avoid clipping to protect the ribbons.) I had them for a while and there is nothing that has their particular truthful sound. Also uncanny is the natural vocal reproduction that is startling.
These are also very nice Stages with wooden trim - the Mini Grand system with subs! Anyway, I've had many different hi-end speakers, B*W 800 series, Avalons, SF's and now having Apogee Diva and Duetta Sigs. The Diva has the most incredible bass extension it's incredibly detailed, try a well recorded kick drum on big Apogees! Biggest weakness is placement and a very narrow sweetspot which is a shame.
Still looking for the toothed belt for the mechanism. Can't seem to find it. I ordered the one for the Pioneer equivalent but its just a smooth belt. Any help would be appreciated. Otherwise the machine works perfectly.
I think alike!! But on the other hand, thinking about what i spent on current gear, with much poorer implementation quality...sometimes worthwhile to go with vintage!!
I personally own a mint 747 DBX with the analog meters, Akai went with the LED meters because of the cost to build was cheaper. So the DBX with analog is the better of the two.
I owned a pair of Krell Resolution 1 back in the day. Amazingly built speakers. Very expensive back then. LAT-1000 are rare and are $$$$. They resemble Sonus Faber because I do believe Dan D’Agostino worked for Sonus before starting Krell Industries.
I really enjoy watching your NewArrivals.....love the commentary on vintage gear and technical knowledge.
Thank you kindly!
always pleasure to see the new high end stuff you get
thanks much. Its so much fun!
I love the Akai reel to reel. The GX-747 is a great option.
It sure is! Ive restore a bunch and love them.

@@SkyFiAudio Really ok 😆
If I wasn’t in Massachusetts I would definitely sign up for cars and coffee.
Sounds like it’s going to be great time.
I would love to see your shop 😄
Please do come by next time your in town.
Would love to see a video on the M-4000and C-1000! They are wonderful and deserve the attention. Designed by Tim De Paravicini
Noted!
Love these videos
The luxman m4000 is the Crème De La Crème, wish to see a dedicated video on it, the internal run through and such. Thanks for the video!
Coming soon!

Totally agree, wish there was a way to share the sound quality over UA-cam.

Nice products
I hope you do a video on the McIntosh laserdisc player you just got in...

I LOVE the MC7106.
Its a great amp and super flexible.
Some fantastic equipment. I would be like a child in a candy store and probably bankrupt after visiting 🤣

@@gerihifi indeed, better quality and design in my opinion.
haha Paul. Hoping you'll visit some day.
@@SkyFiAudio unfortunately I live in the uk, so not easy for me to visit, do you send items overseas.

What do you think about the Apogee speakers I see there in the background? Thank you.
They are wonderful. We have those and the Full Range model. Need lots of power but are relevant even by todays standards.
Damn. Just went on the website, and the MC7106 is already sold.
We have one listing this Friday. Be sure to subscribe to our email blast on our website.
LAT-1000 are all the money 💰 beautiful
They sure sound sweet. What amp do you think we should use Robert?
Great, could you talk about impedance matching when selecting gear.
Great suggestion!
Excellent…
Thank you! Cheers!

Good point, I always assumed there were other improvements on the led version but it was pure speculation. Thanks for the feedback Robert.
Nice stuff
Appreciate it
I think polk audio uses the same tweeter on RESERVE R700 like the krell speaker u mentions.
Yes, Ive seen a variation of that tweeter on some Polk speakers indeed.
Krell speakers? I never knew there was such a thing...

Most folks didn't know that either. This is the first set to come to the shop, so there must not be many out there.
Yeah nice accuphase preamp but i can See cutting costs here. Single transformer, standard phono without step UP transformers..
Fair enough! Nicely made though.
@@SkyFiAudio and this c222 isnt high priced. C222 cost 220.000 yen, better built Pioneer c90 170.000 yen.
Great content
Thanks mate
I have Carver amps & Pre amps , Thorns turntable & Celestion speakers, bought 20 years ago new. Do you know anything on the components?
you'd have to be more specific, share models etc.

I guess the video sold that MC230 since no longer available on website.
Sorry I dont see an MC-230. Did you mean MC-2300 or MC240?
Oops… my mistake! I was referring to the MA230 you showed at 8:48
1:47 That is the scanspeak revelator R2904
indeed, thanks for the model Lee. I appreciate it.
Can I purchase the Krell 1000 speakers. Please advise
Yes, drop us a note in our website. You'll be first on the list when ready.
How much for the Mac LD player broken as is?

Hi I am from India. I am also into HIFI. I am looking for a high end CD player
Perhaps look for something from Krell, McIntosh or Mark Levinson, checkout our website.
I need an Electro Voice SP12 16ohm driver but I don't want to pay a ton for it.😊
Ebay is your best bet.
@@SkyFiAudio I know but they are either slightly damaged or in pairs 🥲
