I was lowkey planning on getting dreads, but then I remembered that since my scalp does not like dead hair or the inability to clean my hair once a week/every 2 weeks, I just stuck with braids.
So many uneducated people out there just listen to what they heard on UA-cam , I got locs and i wash my hair every 2 weeks bro went from once a month the first 6 months then I can do wtv i want with them

@@DeepDownInTheOceanI have a bad scalp too either fungus on it that many think is dandruff but it is not. With that being said, I had dreads for 7 years and I wash my hair once a week. I did Freeform.
@@MegaLilWade I had dreads for two years. Worst two years of my life. Loved the dreads, and hated my scalp. My hair is also extremely thick, so even after a retwist, it would start covering those parts, making it even harder to clean. I prefer braids now because I can take them out at any time and thoroughly clean my hair and scalp.

Couldn’t do the low cut 😭
I cut my locs halfway/short and pulled the hair out the loc from the root/base. Combing them out would've took too long😩. I still had an afro afterwards.

Dang this was kinda sad. I loc’d 12/22 and that’s how I found your channel. I would watch your starter loc videos on how to take care of them, how to make your own rose water etc. I was rocking with you the whole time. I haven’t felt this since TP Locs ended his journey.
My loc goal was to get to your level, but you still one of the best ones to do it. I would definitely recommend for you to do two strands, braids, pop smoke’s, and other hairstyles now that you have that versatility until you loc back up

I cut/comb mines out over almost 3 years ago. Plan was to restart. I never went back. I wanna try braids.
It’s not lost hair when u combing it out that was just hair that shedded in the dread everyone hair sheds each week the shedded hair just had nowhere to go
Some of it is broken and damaged had to get a trim

You want to use a lot of water and a lot of conditioner before combing dreads out. You want it soaked and not dry or you will lose more hair
To help the cramped hands, get a bowl of ice water and put your hands in there for a cool 3 mins then let it warm back up
you gotta try twist after the braids
i did the same did last week i lost a hand full of hair but its just the hair you shed and my hair is so long and you will have a lot of hair depending on how you do it!
