Nobody is going to click this video if you keep those Freeform's in the S tier on the thumbnail. You gottta pic the most common hairstyle in S tier for people to click because people don't want their dreads to be shamed down to c tier

Living in a mostly white town I get a lot of people telling me I should just grow out an Afro, with them having no clue the amount of time and effort it takes to properly grow and maintain one. Like no thanks I’ll stick to my locs

Locks and braids definitely need to go lower down in my opinion

You gotta move bald up to at least B, especially if its a balding man and not just somebody who want a bald head. If i miss more than 2 days without a shave I look like George Jefferson.

Free form is what i have and the only issue is cleaning your scalp and keeping your hair hydrated and not looking homeless

Locs aren’t high maintenance. At most they’re average. Just cuts and retwists every few weeks/months depending on if you can style out the look

  • @itzcliffy

this is a great list, ngl people think low maintenance is SUPER easy but it just means that it is EASY COMPARED to the OTHER hairstyles (for example being bald ain't easy as you have to shave often but it is 100x easier than something like finger coils or waves)

I think this changes a lot based on your hair type.

  • @wipedsol8038

Waves was a lot of maintenance had full 360. Freeforming now so much easier and don’t gotta pay for haircuts

Hey man i just wanted to say i really appreciate the wide variety of hairstyles you mentioned in the video, theres not a whole lot of self care videos for black men, and a lot of the ones that DO exist are really surface level, i've NEVER seen this type of video mention freeform locs before,(i've been letting my hair lock up for about 6 months now!!), and the clips you showed of people with freeform locs were of people who are important in the loc community (zayloc23, DOMI boy, even Bamskelly in the thumbnail), i know it's a pretty small thing but most "looksmaxxing" content looks, feels, and sounds the same. So to me that just shows a greater attention to detail than basically any other looksmaxxing video ive ever seen, it also shows that youre ACTUALLY of our culture and black cause most "looksmaxxing videos for black men" aren't BY black men, and that doesnt make a whole lot of sense. So again, i just wanted to say i appreciate you and keep up the good work!! Youre making great stuff!!

If you know how to do finger coils, they can take about maybe 45 minutes, and they can really last you for about two weeks if you do them correctly. There’s a learning curve with finger coils. Finger coils are my go-to style whenever I want my hair to have more shrinkage and look a bit more controlled.

I’m happy I came across this vid not because im a black dude with any of these hair styles (im white with straight hair past my shoulders lol) but because im practicing drawing black hair and this gave me so much inspo, and also info! Easily digestible video :)
