Nicely done. Have been a VM user for several months, always good to have clearly made, step by step demos. However, I missed the part where you added the bass drum beat (6:44). Not sure what you activated to get that going, but any commentary offered is appreciated.

Cheers mate :) Yeah short answer is the drum beat was already waiting on a seperate track in my DAW (Ableton). I think I was looping the timeline just before the drums started playing. In the video I can see my cursor turning Ableton's "Loop" off allowing the drums to play. Hope that helps :)

great to follow this tutorial as a beginner but it would be a lot clearer if you could give a bit of tip's about the modules..For example on the info section of either the sync divider or arpeggiator i don't find a lot of info on what it is they actualy do...

Gawsh! THANKS! I am at the very beginning and I am going totally Koo-Koo Gladly I found you and other Voltage Modular tutorial and slowly but surely my head gets around it... :) It's very satisfactory once you are able to create you own sound(s) ( rewarded ) nut before that there is an aceeedeee process (perhaps am also quite tiered today! :)

@@ProducerLife That would be awesome THX! I was wondering if get into the hardware, starting really slow, buying the essential modulars and a tier, my holdback is that I'd like 1) save the patch, 2) integrate it as much as is possible with my DAW, I don't want to end up in spending hours of creating drone sounds or funky baseline for hours and then "Puff" all gone once device is turn off. Don't get me wrong i do understand the fun and the purpose of going back to outboard gears and synthesis , as I was messing around last night with the Voltage plugin I was happy to be able to save my hard-sweated work to understand and create a new patch, now is saved on my user folder. That is the beauty of the plugin, but as far as concern "hands-on" nothing come close as the real thang! So I am trying to figure out my best option out there and what's in the market that will allow me to use external analogue synth with my DAW (final stage-after recorded a pattern/part). We'll see. For now am still learning this curve on the plugin version... :)

Yeah it looks like he was giving great instruction but I could not even read the text on the plugin controls. I gave up watching.
