  • in a previous video we power washed some frames to clean out the pollen and other debris. some of those that we installed in the hives worked perfectly. but some of them they didn't use at all and would not draw the wax out so in this video we show you how to coat the plastic Foundation using a foam brush.

1st. of all. Where do you live that it's that Cold in May? LOL... 2nd. And my reason for finding your video. We've found that our Bee's will NOT use, clean or anything, a cell that is full of wax. Especially as thick as you were applying your wax. I would assume that some, if not all the cells of the plastic foundation was being filled with wax. Is this true. And if so, are your Bee's just smarter and harder workers than mine or what??? Thank you for your time and help.

The wax was going on too thick which only uses up the wax faster but the honey bees drew it out perfectly but I also was placing them in very strong hives. So far it has been working great for us

The temperature part of the dial is wore off. We have it just melted. Looking in the skillet be sure it's not rolling or bubbling. That's too hot. I hope to do another video with a roller in the future. Currently all of my frames are coated now.
