We are Honyok Honey Bees. We sell gentle honeybees. These are direct stock from Don Kuchenmeister "The Fat Beeman" We are current students of Don and he teaches us ways to successfully raise bees that isn't taught in books or Universities.
We are located near Newton IL. On our farm we raise honeybees, chestnuts, and blackberries. We hope that you can learn a few things by watching our videos. Enjoy

Be sure your honey bees have a source of water. Spring and early summer water seems to be everywhere. Late summer and into the fall water can be hard to find at times for the bees. We also have rocks placed around our overflow pipe and the bees use that location more than anywhere else.

in a previous video we power washed some frames to clean out the pollen and other debris. some of those that we installed in the hives worked perfectly. but some of them they didn't use at all and would not draw the wax out so in this video we show you how to coat the plastic Foundation using a foam brush.
