I was in the audience for the filming of this episode. I spent a month in L.A. going to all sorts of shows. I was in the Marines and on leave while on my way to Misawa, Japan. I distinctly remember Vanessa Williams was VERY pregnant and the one singer refused to sing Don't Worry Be Happy because he was sick of people asking him to sing it.
Richard Dawson, the original host of this game show, has passed away last month from esophageal cancer on the second of June 2012. May he rest in peace.
Well, the Manhattan Transfer is one of the best jazz vocal groups on the music scene. Plus, they won the best pop vocal performance by a duo or group award in 1989.
Yes, that 1988-1994's then-"Family Feud" Grammy All-Stars game show had late Mr. Raymond "Ray" N. Combs Jr. as its former host just like his [& its] former announcer there was late Eugene "Gene" E. Wood!
Dione Warwick is raising money for her OWN foundation? A 'foundation' is a tax shelter, first and foremost. Plus, a foundation's founder can pay herself a salary later in life when music royalties dry up and she can collect the salary in a lower tax bracket. Plus, she gets to gloat about how 'charitable' she is.
Rest in heaven both Ray Combs, Little Richard and Luther Vandross.
Also RIP Tim Hauser from Manhattan Transfer and RIP Gene Wood, the announcer, may they be forever remembered and never forgotten.
Rest in peace Ray Combs Little Richard and Luther vandross musical and comical heaven is where you are now 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼😁😇😇💛💛💛💯💯💯💯😭😭😭😇😇😇😇💛💞💞☕

Luther....love you, miss you my brother. The USA is in a real mess, but the Lord told is was gonna happen...so see you soon. How awesome is that?
Ray Combs, he was the best, if he was with us still, what would he become?
He woulda done what he did before the fued ,a stand up comedian.
I liked him and Richard Dawson.
@@jamescarmon4480 And more game shows I would hope. But he really wanted to host his own talk show.
He definitely would have been a predecessor to Bob Barker to be the host of “The Price Is Right.”
RIP Ray Combs and Luther Vandross
