Nailed the review Motobob. I've a 2016 Bobber (owned from new) with the lovely cruisey feeling, original forward foot pegs. Made a few ergonomic tweeks and now I'm happy to spend all day in the saddle. It's really stable at low speed/stationary, if your balance is reasonable you rarely need to touch your feet dpwn and as you astutely observed, it's really all about riding as smoothly as possible. Only downside is that you run out of ground clearance way before you would run out of grip, but hey! you can't have everything.
My man... you made it on bike world? Nice, I'm glad to see you climbing on up the ladder. You've come a long way from a few years ago..keep up the momentum!
My thoughts exactly!!
@@leegingerninja cheers both!
Good job, Motobob! Keep your hand out of your pocket, it looks weird. I appreciate the discussion of wet bums, definitely a highlight of this review! Seems like a fine bike for a meandering cruise through the countryside, as long as you’re not in a hurry.
Great review. Fantastic bike, considering one myself. You should try to get the V9 bobber sport model and compare it to the the standard model.
Never been a fan of Guzzis, but i actually like this one for some reason i can't fathom, it might of course be the real world review with plenty of detail, well done Rob!
This bike deserves to be customised. They did used the bobber classification wrong here but if they went for a Scrambler look, it would fit. Also, finish looks awesome!
Hey mate, totally cool review and congrats on the Bike world job.
Thanks Elie!
Excellent review, really like your delivery. As for the bike, I want a Guzzi but not until they put that new engine from the TT in to something like an 850 Griso or even a Daytona. The new V9 sport looks great & would've been the obvious place to start putting the new engine I would've thought but alas not it seems. Patiently waiting for Guzzi to pull their finger out!
Thanks RR! I agree that the TT motor in the Sport would have been a fun bike :)
Not until they put one more disc up front .
its all fun and games till you bang a cylinder against traffic 😂
Not sure what Guzzi was going for here. Looks like a 1980's Japanese pseudo cruiser, has similar power and wet seat issues. Are they selling any of these?
No ! .. and always a tiny mileage one for sale on second hand market for around 6K !
Supposedly if you get a fueling map, its a lot more spritely and just that little bit more of fun.
Nice bike. I'd like a go on one to see if it would be a worthy replacement for my MT-01.
With a nice rear lift it could have the proportions of a kawasaki Muscle bike
Thanks for another quality review
I think these are really beautiful but boring performance-wise, maybe a great second bike for someone with a little extra money.
@Theodore Marakas I didn't say unfun I said boring. I'm sure it's fun and sounds like a great fifth bike for you but with my $11,000 and ability to just have one bike id like a little more power.
This is a 1980 Honda CX500 Custom.
Motoguzzi inverted a twin before Honda.
How short are your legs? I sat on it and was completely turned off because I had trouble touching the ground. I have a 30 inch inseam. Sucks! I really like this bike! Was just a big turn off! Thanks for the review!
Considering its weight, power, and price. Would the street cup be a competitor for the v9?
LOL That bike looks just like my old Kawasaki 454 with a Guzzi engine someone shoehorned into the frame. And the "bobber" thing is so played out
right? I'd love to lift the rear a bit to get that muscle look. And put a small subtle headlight cowl
I don't get what's bobber about it...
The 'style' of the bike.
_ do some RESEARCH.
Good review , but every time I cant stop thinking ..... Why would anyone with a soul want to
live in London ? ( or most other big cities for that matter )
"Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
- Samuel Johnson
@@chaseybears I cant recall , did Samuel Johnson ride a motorcycle ?
david jay he certainly did. He had an early KH250...but never passed his test 😉👍
For big travels like 200 miles per day its comfortable?
If it has a V7 20 Lt tank I am sold
few guys already convert it to v7 tank and they look absolutely fantastico
No fuel gauge? How will you know when you're running low then? My apologies for the stupid question. I have no experience with motorcycles but starting to show interest.
It has a warning light when you are low on fuel
Looks my old 1984 Suzuki gs1100.
Put the V85TT's motor in a new Griso.
put it in V7
You need to slow down a bit thru them gaps bruvva, you ain’t gonna make old bones tearing through traffic like that. Just sayin…
Nice design, but majorly underpowered
Ducati Desmo update 😰
Over Priced!! by alease 1000 pounds🏍
Guzzi have fallen so far behind now. They should be making bikes to compete with the R9T, but perhaps they are no longer up to that level.
That’s one ugly bike 😳
And when you showed the triumph it kind of made you want ........a triumph, even if it cost an arm and a leg more !
100% agree. Good review but nothing could make me interested in that thing.
