When a customer buys your POD product on eBay how do you process the order? The customer clicks on buy now and then what? Does it direct the customer to your prinful store? Thanks and nice video.
Hey there! Sorry for the delayed response here. So assuming the integration through Printful and eBay is setup properly, when an order comes in Printful should automatically sync that order and begin the production process. Then automatically print, pack and ship the order. So the customer never sees Printful or anything like that. As far as the customer is concerned they are just buying a product off of eBay which is accurate. I will mention that I have seen some issues with the Printful x eBay integration. I think eBay is a little tricky to work with in this regard. So I still recommend checking in your store and integration frequently. Otherwise this process is fairly automated. Hi. your video is excellent! But, how does eBay pay you? will you get the payment as soon as the customer pays on the first order? and how to upload tacking does Printful do it automatically?
Nope! That's the great part is that it is almost all automated. So when a buyer places and order on ebay, printful will receive the order and automatically capture the buyers information. Then when the order ships they will automatically update the order and add tracking information! Hope that helps.
Hey Ben! Great video...my question about the listing of a pod t-shirt on eBay is once you sell the t-shirt the listing is now over (sold) and you have to now relist it again to make another sale...is that right? I was thinking it would be easier to list the t-shirt and since it's POD you can leave it up there for 30 days at a fixed price and let the t-shirts keep selling without having to relist it after every sale. Maybe I'm missing something here?
Actually there is limit in ebay specially if you are new , so we try to add minimum stock so that we have more space for adding products, but if your product is having good sales then you definitely you should add large quantity. Hope it clear your mind. Thanks

Question: I sell on eBay already in the used clothing market. I sell 200+ items a month. I have Free shipping on my account but my handling time is 24 hours for my main items. Do you have a separate account on eBay only for POD? How do you mix the two. I have a ton of visitors to my eBay store monthly so I think I can really make a go at this but obviously I don't want to mess up my existing Top Rated seller status on eBay.
Great question Michael and congrats on the existing success on ebay! I used to sell a lot of other products on ebay in addition to print on demand products but just used one account. The main concern would be making sure your shipping setting/handling time are setup properly. The big difference between you and I is that I didn't really take advantage of an actual ebay storefront. I would guess that having POD products on there would be great and not have any negative impact but I'm a bit less familiar with the actual storefronts. Let me know what you end up doing!
Hey Mehdi, good question. Ebay is still a huge marketplace and while I don't put a ton of focus there I still do 5-10 shirt sales per month with 10-20 per month in November/December. Nothing to write home about but adding an additional platform and 5-10 shirts does help :) Thanks for your question!
If the listings are synced to Printful you shouldn't have to do anything. If the listings are not synced, when a sale comes through, you'll need to create a manual order within Printful. Go to your Printful dashboard and click the "New Order" button that shows in the top right. Then just follow the steps to submit the order manually. Hope that helps let me know if you have any questions!
Do I need to setup a store on ebay to sell print on demands? I mean the paid ones, do I need to pay and subscribe to have my store open?Or I can sell and list items on a regular ebay account?

Yup! It's 100% automated. After they are live I don't do anything. Only time you will need to get involved is when stock of a certain item runs out. Printful will email you to notify you when this happens

Great and helpful video! My concern is that most people go to eBay to find ship merchandise (I might be wrong but that's my perception) with those prices do you get sales? I will love to know your thoughts on that. Thank you!
Hey Kevin! Good concern. Ebay is not a main staple of my POD mix but i do average 5-10 sales per month and 10-20 in november/december. Pricing is high but just remember if someone is shopping for a passion niche and loves your design they are willing to pay. Price becomes less of a factor when you offer high quality designs :) Just my thoughts/experience.

Nitzan that is the classic problem with eBay! It took me a long time to build up my account. The trick is to get sales and ask for a limit increase as frequently as you can. I think they normally make you wait at least 1-2 months between limit increases and you have to show a track record of getting sales and be able to essentially convince them to increase your limits. It can be a bit frustrating at first but just keep at it! Hope that helps!
Hey there! Always frustrating when this kind of stuff happens. I don't know why that would happen but would recommend reaching out to their support team. In my experience they are normally much more sensitive with new accounts until you become an established seller

Yeah I did make slight mistake in this video. I normally offer all my products with FREE shipping. For some reason the shipping settings didn't load properly here. Sorry about that :)
Thank you for a great video. One question: If you have to do a return, do you wait until the product has been returned to Printful before refunding the money to the buyer?
You take the return at your home then repost it on eBay manually as a new listing and sell it as used. Recoup most of your money. OR on this listing you can say No Returns, but that seldom works since the buyer will try to game the system by saying it is "Not as described"
Hey Arlene, with Printful they give you the option of to either donate the return to charity or you can have it shipped directly back to you and then as Michael put it just relist it for sale on ebay! Hope that helps
Good question. A buyer purchases your product on eBay and you get the money in your PayPal account. Then with printful you setup your payment method. I personally use a credit card but I believe you could link a paypal account. So in theory that would allow u to get cash in PayPal then use the same PayPal account to pay for the shirt. Hope that helps!
Thank you so much for this video, it's helping me a lot, and i have a question please. In the process set up Printful with Ebay, in the store name box, must be the same store name on Ebay, or i can put a different store name on the box of printful? ( The Brand Name. )
Thanks for the feedback. I BELIEVE they do not necessarily have to match although I haven't added a new store in a couple months to my Printful account but I'm pretty sure they don't need to match exactly!
Hi Brittiany good question! Printful charges you when they ship the product out I believe. So you have already been paid by the customer on ebay then when the product is shipped Printful will charge you for the cost of the goods and shipping
Good question! If a customer decides to return then you would refund them through Paypal/Ebay and then have them send the shirts back to Printful. Printful will then email you and can ship them back to you or you can have them donate to charity. Hope that helps.
@@BenSmithSideHustles Actually I'm a big ebay seller. They actually ship back to you and you either donate it or I would just relist it as a used shirt and recoup most of your money.
Hey Alan, Great question. Check out using the Gildan t-shirt that costs $7.95. With shipping that puts you at $11.95 before ebay fees. Then focus on high quality design. People will pay extra for a product when that product/design resonates with them. List your product for $19.95 - $12 for shirt and shipping + ebay fees leaves you with somewhere around $5 in profit. As an alternative you can check out Custom Cat as they also have a $7 shirt with more color options. Hope that helps.
Hey Sidar, great question. Printful has fulfillment centers in North America and Europe and can ship internationally. As long as the integration between Printful and eBay is setup properly, the orders should be synced to Printful and automatically process. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions.
Great question! To be honest I do most of my work on my laptop so I'm not as familiar but think there are a bunch of apps out there that should allow you to do this. Could perhaps try Canva! Let me know if you find a solid one that works and maybe I'll have to take a look.
Great question. You can have the customer return the item directly to your address or directly back to Printful. Printful then gives you the option to ship it back to you or to donate the item to charity. I personally find that I rarely get returns but I have had some and have chosen to have them donated. Hope that helps!
Great question! They are similar in some ways but also have some significant differences. IMO the biggest being that eBay already has a customer base so when you sell on eBay you are able to tap into the millions of people that already shop on eBay. When you create a Shopify store you are responsible for getting shoppers to your store but have more control and ownership of your customers and the shopping experience. There are many other differences but I'd say that is one of the most important. Let me know if you have any other questions!
Here is my concern. Who pays this much for a T-shirt? I just can't see someone paying more than $20 for a T-shirt - total. Please tell me i am wrong as the 10% eBay fee + 2.9% + .30 PayPal fee and cost of product with any promotions make profits very slim. Are people paying upwards of $28+ for a T-shirt?
Hey Scott! Great question. My recommendation would definitely be trying to utilize the $8.95 t shirt option that Printful has so that you can either lower your price to the end customer and/or make more margin on each sale. That being said I will say that I sold a shirt at this price point just today. I did make a slight error in this video. I would normally list the products with free shipping as that is the trend for most platforms these days. Ebay is not a big platform for me but I do normally do 5-10 shirts per month on there in the off months and 10-20 in Q4. If you can work it out properly you can pocket an extra $50-100/mo on ebay.
Have you had any success selling t shirts using printful + ebay? I’m banking on the possibility that my design will be unique enough that customers won’t mind paying a higher price. If the shirts don’t sell I might consider printing them from a local print shop. Let’s see how this goes
There is definitely a lot of competition! but if you have products in passion niches where people have more motivation to purchase, you stand a good chance of reaching buyers :) cheers

Hi Brittiany good question! Printful charges you when they ship the product out I believe. So you have already been paid by the customer on ebay then when the product is shipped Printful will charge you for the cost of the goods and shipping
Who deals with the refund process and how does it work?
Good question! If a customer decides to return then you would refund them through Paypal/Ebay and then have them send the shirts back to Printful. Printful will then email you and can ship them back to you or you can have them donate to charity. Hope that helps.
@@BenSmithSideHustles Actually I'm a big ebay seller. They actually ship back to you and you either donate it or I would just relist it as a used shirt and recoup most of your money.
I just found printfull so how do you make profit? Shirt cost 12 shipping is 4 thats 16$ most shirts on ebay are 15-20$
Hey Alan, Great question.
How do you proces the order ? Is printful bussiness in us ? Can you only sell to us ?
Hey Sidar, great question. Printful has fulfillment centers in North America and Europe and can ship internationally. As long as the integration between Printful and eBay is setup properly, the orders should be synced to Printful and automatically process. Hope that helps and let me know if you have any other questions.
Can you down load designs on smart phone or do you need computer? I was guessing smartphone the pics clarity might be bad
Great question! To be honest I do most of my work on my laptop so I'm not as familiar but think there are a bunch of apps out there that should allow you to do this. Could perhaps try Canva! Let me know if you find a solid one that works and maybe I'll have to take a look.
How do return work?
Great question. You can have the customer return the item directly to your address or directly back to Printful. Printful then gives you the option to ship it back to you or to donate the item to charity. I personally find that I rarely get returns but I have had some and have chosen to have them donated. Hope that helps!
Does eBay is a platform similar to shopify?
Great question! They are similar in some ways but also have some significant differences. IMO the biggest being that eBay already has a customer base so when you sell on eBay you are able to tap into the millions of people that already shop on eBay. When you create a Shopify store you are responsible for getting shoppers to your store but have more control and ownership of your customers and the shopping experience. There are many other differences but I'd say that is one of the most important. Let me know if you have any other questions!
helpful thank you
Glad it was helpful! Let me know if you have any questions.
Almost all the shirts are temporarily available in Printful.
and then compete with 10,000 other stores who have $7.99 t-shirts lol
Have you had any success selling t shirts using printful + ebay? I’m banking on the possibility that my design will be unique enough that customers won’t mind paying a higher price. If the shirts don’t sell I might consider printing them from a local print shop. Let’s see how this goes
There is definitely a lot of competition! but if you have products in passion niches where people have more motivation to purchase, you stand a good chance of reaching buyers :) cheers
@@avocadobeets7855 No I won't ever do printful, they are the highest in all POD.
I feel like ebay is dead
Definitely not a huge money maker for me but it does have its place in ecommerce. 160+ million buyers on ebay as of 2017.
eBay is not dead. I make about $6K a month on eBay and growing.
