It definitely was! The Lord of the Rings games did this too, and was glad to see another company try this visual trick as well. Thanks for checking out the video!
Just discovered your channel recently now that I'm collecting for the Gamecube again. Been marathoning the hell out of your channel and loving it! Lists like these are particularly helpful since a lot of these licensed games are still within the realm of reason price wise. Looking forward to future videos Gamecube Galaxy!
I appreciate videos like this, it informs me of games I’ve never played. I have a modded GameCube and just added these to my micro SD card. Thank you my dooood
Played the starsky and hutch game as a kid on ps2. Definitely a hidden gem, I think there is a two player mode where one person drives and the other shoots.
Nice! Yeah, I briefly mentioned and showed the two-player co-op mode, which is really cool! I love how the PS2 version has the ability have the 2nd player use the GunCon for light gun action. Thanks for checking out the video!
Great video! I chose the gamecube back in the day (over ps2 and xbox) and even though all systems had great games, I just absolutely love the gamecube. It's great to find a channel dedicated to one of my favorite systems (it may even be my favorite). I'm definitely going to spread the word about this channel. You deserve more subscribers/views!
Thank you! Glad to hear of another GameCube fan who had the console as their primary choice for the 6th generation 👍. Really glad you came across the channel, and greatly appreciate you spreading the word about it! Hope you enjoy all the content currently on the channel, and all the future content moving forward!
That was the perfect response to Charlie's Angels 🤣 A very eclectic mix there, some games I hadn't heard of but caught my eye. Definitely might seek out that MIB game. Great coverage!
Haha glad you enjoyed my Charlie’s Angels segment 😂! I’m glad I was able to highlight lesser known licensed games. MIB is definitely a mindless fun time! I can see why it didn’t score well, but I enjoyed my time with it. Thanks again for checking out the video!
I'm a sucker for licensed games, and this video gave me a nice pile of games I need to pick up. I LOVE Starsky & Hutch and The Italian Job. Definitely need to grab Dredd, MI, Taz, and Curious George. As always, your adoration of the console and its games made this 20 minute video feel like it was 10 minutes long - amazing work!! I think we need a Charlie's Angels charity live stream when you reach 5K. :D
That's awesome to hear you found more licensed games to get! Starsky & Hutch really surprised me to how much fun it is! The Italian Job is also a quality game. Honestly, both games felt like Driver on PS1 in some ways, which is great! Definitely recommend picking up Dredd, MI, Taz, and Curious George! And thank you for the amazing complement on the channel! Truly means a lot, friend! LMAO oh man, a Charlie's Angels live stream...that might actually be quite comical. That'll be a fun idea for 5K subs! Thank you again for checking out the video man!
@@GameCubeGalaxy Curious George was not a movie from 2003 it actually came out in 2006 also still wondering why Curious George never made it on the Wii
Thank you man! Definitely recommend T3 and MI 👍. Glad you enjoyed seeing the lesser known titles. Felt it was a good theme to follow up with my “Top 10 Licensed Games for GameCube” episode. Also glad you enjoyed the bit about CA 😂. Thanks again for checking out the video man!
Dude! T3:Redemption looks amazing!!! I felt the same about King Arthur. Great gameplay but the story is pretty meh honestly. I’m a big fan of platformer with cool mascots and Curious George looks fantastic! Hahahah Take that Drew Barrymore, Cameron Diaz and Lucy Lu! 🤣🤣🤣 Youre welcome man! Happy to add to your collection. Glad to see it made it into an episode. Oh wow! I was not aware of this Judge Dredd game!! Same dev as Sniper Elite? I’m so down!! Thanks for sharing some more great and not so great titles. Great work GCG! Stay awesome brother! 🤘
T3: Redemption is really good! Curious George is a game that was far better than I expected lol. Haha that Charlie’s Angels segment took a few takes…but I think it paid off 🤣! Thank you again for Starsky & Hutch! Definitely a really cool game! That Judge Dredd game is badass and a must-play! Glad you enjoyed the video man! Thanks again for checking it out!
Thank you, Mark! Judge Dredd is HIGHLY underappreciated. Shame it’s a somewhat pricey one, but luckily it’s on PS2 and Xbox as well for cheaper if you’re looking for a way to just play it in general 👍. Glad you enjoyed the video!
I'm shocked at how good most of these games are. And based on your breakdown of Curious George that may be the McDonald's Treasure Land Adventure of the GC where it's a game that is so much better than it has any right to be. Fantastic video as always!
I normally stay clear of all licensed games haha but it’s fun to see the ones that were made. I actually have Die Hard Vendetta and I kinda want to play it now. I definitely want to give The Italian Job a shot since you said it plays like Driver and we all know how great that game is! I will be on the look out to get Judge Dredd for obvious reasons since we discussed it. 25 TO LIFE FOR ALL THOSE BLEEDING HEART LIBERALS!! I AM THE LAW!!! Great video GCG!
Some licensed games can prove to be great times, or at least enjoyable during the playthrough. Die Hard Vendetta is…okay lol. The Italian Job reminded me a bit of Driver, but not as memorable. Judge Dredd is awesome, and provides for some laughs as well 😂! Glad you enjoyed the video man! Thanks for checking it out!
Terminator Redemption is SO BADASS. One of the best Terminator games EVER made. It's spectacle and graphics were also very impressive. Downloading Judge Dredd now.
Wow that Terminator game looks amazing, especially the graphics. Thats a gamecube?? I can't wait to try upscaling it and trying widescreen. And I always have a weirdly nostalgic soft spot for games like Curious George. I was just watching a video about an indie remake of Contra in 3D and yea it does look like the MIB game. King Arthur is a cool LotR clone. Another one is the Conan game thats a PAL exclusive.
Yeah! The Terminator 3: Redemption game was running on the GameCube natively 👍. I have to say, Curious George really surprised me to how quality of a platformer it was from what I played! Yeah, the MiB game got trashed by many, but I really couldn’t shake the feeling that it was at least a decent 3D shooter in the vein of Contra. Oh man, Conan I actually tried for the first time when I launched the channel, and did an episode about some European GameCube exclusives 👍. Thanks for checking out the video man!
King Arthur is one of those games that actually exceeds the movie in entertainment value. Especially with it's arena mode where you get to lead a battalion of troops into battle against another player or the CPU. The movie was nothing special but the game was a lot of fun.
Oh wow, I had no idea about that arena mode in King Arthur! That actually sounds cool! Thanks for sharing that info, and for checking out the video man!
It really surprised me how good it was from what I played of it so far! Definitely looking forward to finishing it one day soon. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Ok so I always wondered about Terminator and Mission Impossible and now I want to play them. Also seeing Reign of Fire gameplay made me remember I actually had that one and played it back in the day! I 100% forgot about that! Wild!
Thanks for adding Terminator 3: Salvation to the list of games I want to check out now lol. Never fails that your collection videos will have at least 1 game I want to play after watching... Oh great, now Mission Impossible looks good too! Oh man, I must be one of the only people who watched Reign Of Fire in theatres, lol. I was a sucker for dragons back then.
Haha no problem! Terminator 3: Redemption really was a surprise for me! Mission Impossible is another that I was really digging! I’m glad I always highlight a game (or 2) for you to want to add to your collection! Haha that’s awesome about Reign of Fire. Is it a movie worth watching?
Nice list! A bunch of games that I've never picked up because of the stigma of licensed games = Bad back in the day! I'm definitely going to look up for a few with Judge Dredd at the top of the list! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks man! Yeah, back then, it was easier to fall into the stigma of licensed games being assumed bad right away. While there are many that still aren’t great, there are so many under-appreciated, hidden gems. Judge Dredd is so good! Glad you enjoyed the video man!
Some of these games look really fun to play. I just don't know if I'd pick up King Arthur or Reign of Fire. Also, might be worth noting that MIB 2 Alien Escape looks a little more fun than that other Will Smith Likeness Game *Cough* Bad Boys Miami Takedown.
Yeah, King Arthur and Reign of Fire weren’t anything to write home about during my time with them. MIB 2 Alien Escape is DEFINITELY a far better Will Smith “likeness” game than Bad Boys Miami Takedown! 😂 Thanks again for checking out the video man!
I never played the MI gamecube game, but I played the hell out of the N64 one. But the gamecube one Looks great! I didn't even know one was made for the console
Oh man, the N64 one I have so many memories playing. The soundtrack always stood out to me in that one, but damn was that game hard lol. Yeah, not many realized that one was made for the GameCube! Definitely a cool game that I recommend checking out! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Haha yes, the Charlie’s Angels case (and game) survived 😂. Oh man, Terminator is quite good! Definitely wish I played it sooner. Thanks again for checking out the video man!
Oh absolutely, 100%! I miss having licensed games for almost anything and everything that came out. Sure many weren’t great, but numerous are great as well. Thanks again for checking out the video!
Die Hard was one of those games that always reminded me that it COULD have been something truly great... But wasn't. I played M:I because I wanted more Splinter Cell,... But it wasn't. That King Arthur menu makes it hard to take the game serious :D it has something Monty Python-esque. Never played the game or seen the movie though, but I assume it's more serious than the menu suggests. It's actually surprising how much Reign of Fire looks like it is made by the same people that made Batallion Wars, technically. Never realised this before. Despite it looking bland and boring, and Batallion Wars being a good game. Your description makes me want to go back in time and try Starsky and Hutch on PS2 with a friend, a steering wheel, and a lightgun. Seems like a fantastic and very unique couch co-op experience! Or even more bad ass, WITHOUT a friend. I came across Judge Dredd by total accident, bought it for a few euro's, and had a great time. Those ragdolls always had me laughing, while also making me appreciate games more. Never liked the character though.
Die Hard definitely could've been great...but does have its issues for sure. Mission Impossible I was really enjoying during my time, but Splinter Cell is pretty amazing. Haha, yes, King Arthur's menus definitely had a Monty Python-esque style to it. Reign of Fire I wish was better than what it turned out to be.
