I cant remember what engine pulled the train that day but I remember that my band was waiting for a train to pass before we went backstage to get ready for a parade and the whole band waved to the passengers and I actually felt like a Disney cast member 😁 and the crossing was the one before Frontierland station
My top three favorite locomotives: 3. Disneyland Railroad “C.K. Holiday” 2. Walt Disney World Railroad “Lily Belle” 1. Grizzly Flats Railroad “Emma Nevada”
It's definitely very nice to still see some fellow girl railroaders out there on roads big and small like at 31:35. I myself work brakeman for CVSR and plan to most definitely promote to engineer at least one day
My mom is going to Florida this year at the end of August. She's going to Disney World for Halloween at the Magic Kingdom and then down to Universal Studios. But I can't afford it and I'm not happy with that so I'm not going because it's too hot down there. So I have to wait until after 3 more years until I can go in the March Break of 2021 only in Disney World. They will be celebrating the 50th anniversary in 3 more years. That will make me happy. ;)

Became a summer/holiday job when I was in college and then full time a various times through the years. No matter where I was career-wise, if things went bad I could go back to Disney (starting from scratch again though). Finally retired from the company when they shut down the trains for the Tron construction in 2019.
A first class, luxury train. Where is the dynamo? Seems that excess steam always leaks out of the whistle and the steam chests, and somewhere at the back of the tender. I couldn't figure out why it makes such a loud hiss until I realized it must be the compressed gas it runs on, combined with the injectors turned way up. Still, such a beautiful train. I suspect however, that they are generating a bit more steam than is needed in that hot swampy clime.
@Lilly belle Locomotives I know very well they are steam, they burn #2 diesel to make the steam, never said they weren't steam, don't jump to conclusions...

Rusty Rails Productions I can’t tell if it’s Roger or Roy who’s next for an overhaul at Strasburg. Someone predicted Roy as Roger is possibly the healthiest engine. But I have my doubts about that. Even locomotive needs downtime. Walter is expected to return late this year or Spring 2019. I was here in January and rode behind Lilly. Even though she pulled Walters cars they had new seats. A few times riding behind Roy he was pulling Lilly’s cars. And at once Lilly pulled Roy’s cars. I’m glad to see Roy’s cars are back. Maybe they got equipped with new seats. I bet Lilly’s cars are next to get new seats. And I’m Glad to see Roy pulling his own cars. Trust me I was excited riding behind Lilly recently. I missed her so much. In my mind I nick name her the mighty mogul.
You’ll also notice Lilly’s 3 inch Buckeye 3 chime whistle is a bit higher pitched that Walters as his is standard. Rogers was soft. His now tooting 4 inch Crosby 3 chime sounds like a 5 inch Lukenhimer 3 chime. I’ll kinda miss how deep sounding Roy’s whistle was. He was equipped with it in the 1980s as it was given to him from a steamboat that was damaged during dry dock. Roy’s whistle is a lonesome Crosby 3 chime or lonesome handcock 3 chime. It was clogged up from soot. When it was like that to me it sounded like a Rio Grande 3 chime. Now unclogged it sounds like the whistle he tooted on his debut in December 1971. It sounds equivalent to the river boat whistle or a B&O 3 chime. If it’s really Roy who’s next for an overhaul at Strasburg please equip Roger or Lilly with Roy’s whistle. I can’t live without it. It’s such a beautiful sounding whistle.

Does anybody notice the eagles on the Lilly Belles sand dome. Also I think the Lilly Belles new boiler is a little bigger than the old one.
Looking forward to when they open the railroad back up. They’re replacing the track from what I’ve heard.

They run on number 2 diesel and they have a steam powered generator in the box on the back of the tender and don't have a traditional dynamo.
What in the world these are historic steam locomotives they are not Diesel powered they are steam jezz

2021 trains still aren’t running. It’s going to be surreal when they start again.
