I came here to say the same comments I have been reading. ! This layout totally immersed me into it. I could smell the creosote on the bridges. I could feel the heat from steam engine. A tremendous amount of work or the absolute labor of love that was put into this railway is absolutely astonishing.

Bud, I've heard about your train from others at church , but I had no idea how marvelous it truly is! AND! I love that you have a caboose on each train. To me, a train isn't properly attired without a caboose! How I miss them. Bess

Firewood Midwest - Thank you for your kind words. I enjoy watching other people's Garden RR, so I
was just trying to give back to others in this incredible train hobby.

I love your layout and your videography is amazing.
And your landscaping and construction of the layout is really awesome and attention to detail.
And your story telling about different aspects of the layout.
Also I loved the 1955 blue and white Ford Crown Victoria and the 1957 Chevrolet Nomad station wagon.
I love both of those vehicles and especially the Ford as I am a ford guy.
Thank you for all your work as it is exemplary.

Michael - Appreciated your comments and am glad you enjoyed the details. Now that we are all in "Winter Mode" right now, it is nice to
just sit down in front of the TV and watch my video in a warm environment and not worry about getting outside. - Bud

I'm in middle Tennessee. Me and my fiance Love little stuff and diorama stuff and trains! So we randomly chose to watch this video. Only to find out the man who owns this Amazing backyard train track was my JR High choir teacher Mr Hunter !!! I absolutely can't believe after all this time I randomly came across this!! Hello Mr Hunter! You were a wonderful teacher!

Hi Brandy - I always enjoy hearing from former students, although you are the first person that do so via Utube. I am glad that you enjoy trains and glad that you
enjoyed visiting as well as riding on my back yard Rio Grande Railroad. Believe it or not, I can still picture you in class, although I'm sure you look all grown up now.
Tennessee is such a beautiful state with mountains and Country Music everywhere. I have relatives that live in Tullahoma, TN. so I do get down there once or
twice a year. Do take care Brandy. - Mr. Hunter

@@nelsonhunter6690 You gave me and my sister Wendy such a love for music and I am forever grateful. I traveled with a band for quite a few years and part of the members were actually from Tullahoma! Thank you so much for responding to me!

and other Garden Railroaders. - Bud

It is hard to imagine the time you had invested in building this railway and all the landscaping to bring it to this level. Even at this point I know a lot of time is spent maintaining it. I grew up "playing" on real trains since my dad was a station master if a small community depot. That depot is now part of a mussium.

Thanks Galen for taking the time to write me. Now that I am retired, I have more time to maintain the
railroad in a proper manner. It is big enough to look big, yet not be overwhelming to trim, weed and take care of. I had HO trains for a long time, but being outside to enjoy the great outdoors is better
than being in a basement surrounded by walls, furnace, water heater, etc. etc. - Bud

Nicolai - Glad you enjoyed my railroad and thanks for watching. You mentioned having enough space.
I have seen some neat small patio Gscale railroads that had built 2 flower planters (approximately 2 feet tall) along one side of the patio - then built two trestle bridges 2 feet tall to connect the 2 flower planters in a
continues oval loop. This couple only ran 1 short passenger train around and around, but they were having
a blast with it most evenings after dinner until dark. - Bud 😎

    • @nelsonhunter6690

Hi Colin - Red locomotive is part of the LGB Christmas Train Set. It is a normal 0-4-0 LGB Steinz locomotive with a powered tender to
match. Enough power to pull Christmas Gondola loaded with Hershey Candy kisses. I think they are still being manufactured. - Bud
