Where does the Bible say, support the idea that people think with their kidneys? I have searched Scripture, yet I cannot find this stated nor supported within Scripture. Please, where in Scripture is this?
@@canadiankewldude But in the Scriptures, the Hebrew term for kidney (kilyot) is not used to describe the cleansing function we moderns associate with Kidneys but rather to depict either the organ in the sacrificial animal or the inward part of a person-the way we today often use “mind.”
The Hebrew word kilyot also takes another meaning, however, and in our English Bibles, it is most often translated as “heart/ inner being/mind.” Five passages picture God examining the kidneys to evaluate an individual: “I the Lord search the heart and test the mind [kidneys], to give every man according to his ways, according to the fruit of his deeds” (Jer 17:10 ESV; see also Jer 11:20 and Ps 26:2). In Jeremiah 12:1b-2 (ESV), the kidneys refer to hypocritical people whose words don’t match their true selves: “Why does the way of the wicked prosper?… you are near in their mouth and far from their heart [kidneys].” Proverbs 23:15-16 (ESV) identifies the kidneys as the origin of rejoicing: “My son, if your heart is wise, my heart too will be glad. My inmost being [my kidneys] will exult when your lips speak what is right.”

I’m very surprised that Christians approach the Biblical text with a presumption that says “it’s not a scientific book making scientific claims.” (As if “science” can somehow illuminate scriptural meaning into something that’s just “speaking to a culture not as enlightened as us.”
…that’s “just how God spoke to those that didn’t have/knos the scientific method, etc.
I find this approach as dishonest
Just a suggestion- It would be helpful in listening to your shows if the moving type displayed to music was spoken instead of put on the screen to be read and therefore must be watched . I listen to these while working or in the car and it’s not feasible to stop and read the info so that I know what’s going on. Thanks for the content though.
I wanted to post a few responses:
42:35 The common sense arguments are all work on both models. People who don't respect biblical cosmology would do well to study why each of those work in both world views. We've all been through the propaganda of school and movies, etc. so people who haven't studied think this is a ringer but honestly, humbly, it's not. Be a berean. Biblical cosmologists know both models well.
The three questions I keep hearing in my mind is:
1) If God did intend to mean what he said, that the cosmology described from Genesis to Revelation were true, how would He tell the ancient israelite that the world is flat with a firmament holding back the waters above, etc if he wanted to convey that truth?
2) "In the beginning God created the Heavens and the Earth"
I really relate to your 3rd point and think people need to be honest with themselves.
There are NO credible scholars like Heiser that currently support this ancient incorrect view of our world and the Bible. Because it’s easily discernible through observation and research that the earth and surrounding planets are ROUND. You WILL NEVER have someone credible support this view. The authors did not intend the Bible to communicate Scientific truth. I believe in truth. The truth of the actual physical structure of Earth is Not intended to be conveyed by the original authors of whom God inspired. The default is that we are on a flat stationary plane it's what we all experience.
It's also what the Bible describes. Stop trying to make the scripture fit your world view, and rather accept the Bible authors for their divinely inspired words.
Plus, if your argument is based on “there are no credible scholars that disagree” this is a fallacious argument. It’s an appeal to consensus.
Maybe those who lived back then actually knew the truth about the creation and where we actually live🤔 The doctrine of accommodation actually causes many errors in the interpretation of scripture by making the claim that the scriptures are poetry, but yet in the documentary “The Principle” shows us that the Torah is a narrative (not poetry) dictated to Moses! The book of Enoch and Jubilees (found at cumron- Dead Sea Scrolls) describes the creation of our world just as it we see it ❤️ Let the word be true and all men liars. There is no biblical case as he says 5 minutes into the video he believes the original Hebrew is wrong and that Moses was helplessly ignorant and he has to change what the text says in order to support a globe model as he admits that the 5 minute point

The few intact, written accounts render insight to those cultures. Were these specimens free of imperial desires? Physical evidences cannot be separate considerations when proposing a true understanding. Huge constructions of durable stoneworks are alternate records. These structures are worldwide.

@@ringthembells143 I did watch the video. The Bible is written the way it is written because it is truth. Those of us who now believe in Biblical cosmology (i.e. flat earth) did not come to this conclusion lightly, and in fact, we (I speak for those that I know and know of) are former ball earthers. We do not enjoy being ridiculed, but, rather, are trying to stand up for the truth of God’s Word. Also, true science favors Biblical cosmology. Jesus said, “For if you believed Moses, you would believe me; for he wrote of me.”
John 5:46 ESV. I think that includes the creation story. Not trying to be disrespectful in any way of you guys, just trying to dialogue.

@@sandrasosnoski3338 In my years at university I witnessed hundreds of students turn away from Christ, and just about every one of them did so because Christians were insisting that the Bible is teaching cosmology. When different Christian groups on campus were witnessing in the quad it wasn't hard to tell which ones were insisting that the Earth is less than tn thousand years old and held to a "biblical" cosmology, and which acknowledged what the Creation itself tells us about itself by the reactions of those who stopped to listen: those in the first group got laughed at while those in the second got asked questions.
Ponder this: long before Copernicus or Galileo, scholars who grew up reading Hebrew concluded from the opening of Genesis 1 that the universe started out smaller than a grain of mustard and expanded unimaginably rapidly; that it was originally filled with fluid, a fluid that light couldn't shine through, but as the universe expanded the fluid thinned until light could shine -- at which point God commanded light to exist. They concluded that the universe is old beyond human comprehension and that the Earth, though younger, is still unbelievably ancient. One noted that a thousand is a period of perfection, so a thousand times a thousand is supreme perfection, and a thousand times that is ultimate perfection and so the world must be a thousand times a thousand times a thousand years old, which works out to a billion years; another asserted that the universe must be a thousand times a thousand, times the same again, which works out to a trillion years. They didn't look at the universe, they didn't look at the world to determine this, they looked only at the Hebrew text in Genesis.
Since those scholars looked at Genesis and reached conclusions that sound like a layman's summary of the Big Bang, don't be so certain that what it seems to say in English when read from a scientific point of view (i.e. thinking that it teaches science) is what it actually means.

@@ringthembells143 Today, even today, we have no actual evidence of the ball earth. I encourage you personally to find proof of the heliocentric model that does not come from NASA. You will not find it. I also encourage you to look into REAL flat earth evidence, not what you find through Google. I assure you that real science backs up biblical cosmology every time. We can see too far, mountains over 700 miles from the observer, Polaris never moves and never has, there is no magnetic south pole, no one has ever circumnavigated south, no one has ever left Argentina and flew south to Australia. NASA footage has been proven fake time after time. Just take the time to look into it, and ask for the Holy Spirit to guide you.

PHYSICS demonstrates the globe is absurd.
And it's been demonstrated on my and many others channels. Your "pull" of gravity does not exist.
There is no physical measure of downward acceleration only visual.. The Earth/ground is in a constant motion up relative to you. While you and other matter resist that push. Giving weight and density gradients, This push up, or outward on a globe, literally makes a globe explode.
Observation shows the earth is a sphere.

It is also if no private interpretation. We should not abandon the plain reading of the text in favor of some poetic interpretation. Many Scriptures, going back to the original texts, describe a flat, stationery earth with a firm dome above. Why should we believe the heliocentrists, of whom many of the original devisers of this imaginative narrative were Freemasons and Luciferians? They do not have evidence for their theories, but continue to prop up the narrative with more and more theories. They even admit that they don’t use the scientific method.. We should be giving God the glory for His creation, not pandering to pseudoscience.

There is so much deception out there that i don’t believe too much anymore. Is the earth round flat i don’t think it really matters because we don’t need to know those things. We should be caring about bringing as many people to Christ. When the end comes we will know all things,which are little minds aren’t even capable of knowing. Im intrigued by subjects like this but it shouldn’t be our main goal.

Many atheists have come to realize that there is a Creator once they realized the truth about this realm, that the earth (the ground) is a horizontal plane. Those former atheists have begun to dig into Biblical scriptures as a result of that and are on their way to a relationship with Christ.
This ABSOLUTELY matters.
The Lord makes it loud and clear go out in the world and teach the gospel not to dwell on whether the earth is flat or round. So which matters most. Does it matter if the world is flat does it change anything are you doing as Jesus said or are you instead wasting time on matters that have no bearing on the only thing that truly matters.
@BentIronBins Everyone's journey to a relationship with Christ is unique. It begins with first acknowledging there is a Creator. Some people who were helio-centric atheists came to the realization that there is indeed a creator when they realized helio-centrism is a deception. They saw the Creator from studying nature, once they realized this realm is a topographical, level, horizontal plane. Then, those former atheists began reading Bible scripture because the realized that the Creator may very well be God of the Bible. Digging into scripture and opening up their hearts leads them to Christ. So instead of us being silent on certain things, let's discuss everything with those who are yet to know Christ. Let's build relationships so we can better understand how to relate to those who are seeking. For those who have found salvation by way of researching flat earth, this topic is literally life and death...

The only hill worth dying on is Calvary. We're called to repesnt and believe the Gospel, and spread that Gospel creating desciples for Christ. Not disciples for the shape of the earth. Don't elivate this issue or your interpretations or opinions to and order of first importance. Don't divine over cosmology, and don't make the shape of the earth an idol in your heart.
This is just a small snippet of what these guys teach. And the more I hear from them.. the bigger I realize God is! And I thought He was huge before! Not totally sure of everything they teach, but it's fascinating. Of course we must teach the gospel, number 1!, but I love learning these things other bible teachers stay as far away from as possible. We'll find out for sure one day.. 😊🙌🙌🙌

evidence for a flat realm covered by an actual firmament is overwhelming. The heliocentric narrative comes from 1 ultimate source who had/have rea$ons for their story. God knew exactly what he was doing when he referenced flat realm principles over 200x in Scripture. We have to be careful what paradigm we start a discussion from.

Earth is Yahweh’s Everlasting Lake of Fire, his furnace of roaring flames where, in his furious wrath, he will gather you up, put you in, and smelt you. Christ was called up out of Egypt. Light and vegetation were created before the sun and the moon. Jesus was made to be sin by people pointing their finger at him and accusing him of sin. Christ judges the earth. Yahweh judged the Gods and the heavens themselves. The Father is greater than I.
Esau serves and protects Jacob, who was born 'striking' at his heel. Though there is enmity between the two, all the world focuses on is the enmity.
