I got a pair today actually. I was shopping for new shoes and I found these in grey at Dicks Sporting Goods in central Indiana. I had no clue they weren't released yet until I got home.
@ajrichardson80 what a happy new year 🤣 it seems like a jan1st release but stock was released early due to Christmas and a lot of places are selling early!
My brooks ghost max 2 are great and super comfortable but gets pretty clumpy and pretty energy sapping on a long run. Would you say this is similar to the max 2 but lighter? First comment 👊🏻
I've got a pair for my easy runs, and around the shop, and I love the Ghost Max 2, but know what you mean. It's nothing like it though, the new midsole is 😍😍, a lot softer and a lot more responsive!!
i have always run in the same shoe across all distances, my only rotation is new vs old. This year the 21 has saw me run from a sub20 5k to my first marathon. I have owned the 20’s and 21’s and now deciding which to go for next. Upgrade to the 22, try the max or have a completely different shoe for races - Hyperion? Or maybe even sway from brooks if there was a shoe to do that. What would be your recommendations?
@CarlTheAmateurRunner hey Carl, thanks for the comment. Tbh I still do a lot of the time, I find a shoe that works for me and I tend to overuse it, or at least I could benefit for a different shoe but love a particular one more! The 22 is a great option, as is the Glycerin max. Will probably get a video up in the max this week. As you say, if you stick with Brooks it's the Hyperion range. Youve got the Endorphin Speed range from Saucony is also great, Adidas Boston 12 which is my go to tempo shoe, Hoka Mach X 2 etc. But as with anything they all feel and fit different, so try some on if you can. The benefits of a shoe rotation generally is different drops will also work your legs differently. Low drop, or zero tends to move the load down the leg, putting more pressure on calf and achilles. But in a rotation builds the leg evenly. Does that help!?
@ I’ll look out for the max video. In the past one pair has always been enough for me but as I’ve progressed with my running I’m now wondering if I would benefit from different shoes for different types of runs. The trouble is there is so much choice! Would be ideal if there was somewhere near me that stocked the whole range to try on. I currently run in the 21 gts as I over pronate a bit so makes it a bit more difficult to find the right shoe. Tbh, although I run quite a bit now I am still a complete novice when it comes to running shoes.
@@CarlTheAmateurRunner many are tbh, we all just enjoy the running for what it is, and the technical detail doesnt really come into it! we've learnt so much since opening almost 2 years ago! If you fancy a trip to South Wales, we've got the best gait analysis tech in the country, and I'd be interested to see if you need the GTS :) we find that many don't!
Haha, I'll add it to the list! We've got some good Salomon DRX grvl in stock and also the Topo Ultraventure 3 is incredible. Both on sale.. lol. Can reduce the UV3 a little bit if you fancied that 🤣👊 other than that, Hoka Challenger, NB Hierro.. got a few more coming in SS25 too. Too much stock.🤯🤯
Purely based on feel and the amount of midsole, I've got to go for the Glycerin 22. But now you've asked the question, we'll use our tech on it tomorrow and see what's what..at least for me!
Hey Shawna, the GTS system works the same across the v20, 21 and 22. I don't find it massively corrective or over the top, you've got the Brooks Beast / Ariel for that!!
@quickyreviews6597 aw no. You better get some miles in and get through them. Although you could always buy the 22, and rotate them and make them both last longer! It's definitely a big change!

Looks like I need to hurry up and wear out my 21s 🤣🤣
@@whatleyo matter of time ha. Did Santa give you a reason to visit us? 🤣
@SoleMateRunning 100% 😉 just what I asked for in my letter. Will be down in the next week or so for some trail shoes and other accessories
@whatleyo ok great. Little bit low on trail at the mo, loads arriving in Jan though I think. Pop in and we can have a look!

Also what shoe would you recommend for road to trail? Be a great video I’d watch it. 😊

Which one is most energy efficient, this och Ride 18?

Super thanks 😊
So....I am happy to be wrong!! Very marginally, but at least based on the tech for both myself and Lucy, the Ride 18 gave the most energy return!
Ok cool, a big thank you for your effort 😊
how is the arch support vs v20?

Km always curious about that DNA tuned😂😂 I just purchased my 21 3 week ago😢😢
