Hammer Nutrition Webinar - September 2023
Hello again so I just did have that one more question you told me about the adrenaline GTS but I did ask about the aerial GTS 23s do you think they’re as good as the adrenaline GTS if you got back with me I apologize I didn’t see it thank you again
@watchmoivies123 hey, no worries. Adrenaline vs ariel, the aerial is as good if you need the additional support, over and above what the adrenaline gives. The aerial is a lot former due to the amount of firmer midsole used for the guiderails. As its an older revision of aerial (v23) vs the adrenaline 24, it will be even more firm as the midsole has been updated on the adrenaline gts 24. So for comfort, adrenaline gts 24 all the way!! But it does depend on how much support you need.
So I have a wide foot and plantar fascia I’m sorry I might be saying it wrong but you probably know what I’m saying. It’s in the heel of my foot that has pain but I’m toss between the Brooks guide rails and the Brooks adrenaline 24s which shoe do you feel best for somebody that has a wider foot and plantar Fantasia I do walk every day so I wanna make sure I have a good shoe thank you very much
@watchmoivies123 hi, thank you for the question. Brooks guiderails is the technology that is in the brooks adrenaline gts to make it more stable and supportive. Do you mean the Saucony guide? As far as know there's no shoe called Brooks guiderails. If you did mean the Saucony Ride then I would go for the Brooks Adrenaline GTS because of the higher heel to toe drop, which would reduce pressure on the heel and achilles, which will help with the Plantar Fascia issues you're having. In terms of width of your foot, obviously I haven't seen it, but you may need to go to a wide fit (2e width) or an extra wide (4e width) but you'd need to find what is comfortable for you. Make sure you're not tight against the side of your shoe as once you start running or walking and your feet swell it's very likely it will rub an cause discomfort and possibly blisters. I hope this helps
Good morning, so I’m looking on the other side of the shoe and it says ARIEL GTS and what’s the difference between the adrenaline and these thank you very much
@@watchmoivies123 Ah ok, so the Ariel (for women) and the Beast (for men) are also supportive shoes in the Brooks range, depending on the version you have (ie, the number) it may have an older midsole so could potentially be a firmer foam and not Nitrogen injected. the version 24 in the Ariel, Beast and Adrenaline have the new lighter, more responsive midsole (DNA Loft v3). The difference regardless of version is the Ariel / Beast will be firmer to it's Adrenaline counterpart and be more stable/firm, especially around the forefoot, where I talk about the flexibility grooves on the adrenaline. It uses more "guide rail". It'll be a similar heel to toe drop too, 10-12mm depending on version.
love the brooks!!!
great video
@@chrisgeorge9205 gotta love the brooks!!!
Adrenaline GTS 23 vs 24 Mens shoe - is the 24 a bit narrower width at the forefoot than the 23? Long tem Brooks wearer here. Walking and light hiking in them rather than running. Went from Trance series to Glycerin, to Glycerin GTS. All in 10.5US D-width. I am thinking of switching to Adrenaline 23 or 24 for slightly firmer cushioning, and a little less instability feel. Not looking to go to the Beast, as last time I tried them, it felt like a pair of wooden boards strapped to my feet. So, not looking for a radical change, just slightly firmer cushioning. Thoughts? (I wear aftermarket insoles for arch support and added stability. )
Hi, great question, thanks for taking the time to watch the video too. I think if you're going from the Glycerin GTS 21 to the Adrenaline GTS 24, there's not a massive difference if any, in the cushioning, there's just more of it in the Glycerin. (and GTS), which sounds like it would take away that feeling of instability, almost having too much midsole! Yes, the Beast is well, a beast!! it's not something we stock here, for that very reason !! Width wise, I think if anything it's a little more spacious in the forefoot that the previous version though, closer to the fit of the glcyerin now with this latest release. I hope this helps!! Paul

I'm loving these informative videos, super helpful! Thank you.
You are very welcome, glad you're getting some value from them!
Another brilliant video! Have to say it’s so refreshing to have an independent shop that gives no pressure advice and help to new runners. Even at 52 I was quite nervous entering the world of running but you guys took me through the gait analysis process and suggested a range of footwear options with no hard sell. Since the start of my c25k journey with my Brooks in July I’ve gained more confidence with parkruns and socials and joining the awesome club at Parc Bryn Bach, via their First Strides group. Now a few months later I ran 100 miles in October including the Richard Burton 10k a couple of weeks ago. Not sure I’d have taken those steps (😉), might have been put off running completely, if you hadn’t have offered a coffee and offered that friendly approach. Thank you 🙏🏼❤️🏃♂️
That's so lovely to hear. Thank you again, and so pleased to hear your journey so far. See, we don't just sell shoes, we're much more :)
Absolutely spot on content for me as a newish runner, super useful. Not too worried about fuelling as yet as only up to around 10-15km. Will definitely pop in for some body glide though……do get a bit of chafing, I’ll be spinning tassels on them soon! 😳😂 Great to have such a knowledgeable and independent retailer nearby who are doing so much in the community as well. Nice one 👌
Hahah that did make us laugh!!! Yes come and get some body glide, we also do nip guards!! Thank you for the kind comments! See you soon
Online order done 👊🏻

@Beariam24 🤣🤣🤣 fully loaded with your 10meter swimming badge and certificate lol
I have a pair of adrenaline 22 really not overly impressed at all. Would never buy another pair unless they were $20
@KrisWard-xs2pr I've not tried the 22, but I wasn't impressed with then 23 either. I dont need the added stability but we try all the shoes, and I actually prefer the 24 to the Ghost 16. Same midsole, but just so much nicer on fit, feel, and to run in. It's worth trying on if you're near somewhere that stocks it
Great advice for new runners!
Thank you Mr F!
thanks! what size is yours?
Hey! I'm pretty sure the one in the video was standard size. If you're in the market for one, please hit the link in the description 😊
I had Adrenaline 19, 20 and 21. Loved the 19 and 20 but the 21 seemed to have a huge bump under my arches. I couldn't wear them and gave them away after 30 miles. I'd love to come back to them if they were like the old feel. Any idea how they compare to the 19,20 and 21? Great vid and shop by the way. Popped up for a look a few weeks ago. Definitely a go to place when you need kit. Thanks.
@Andy_7Ps hi Andy, and thanks for the comment and for visiting us! I've never tried the gts 21 but it did have guide rails, maybe they firmed it up a bit too much! I haven't noticed anything trying this version on, but you're more than welcome to come and try it on with us. You know where we are now :)
Remember the 19 s they were legendary
@@piee683 I feel like I missed out!!
@@SoleMateRunning honest they were only runners I received a compliment whilst wearing and as for durability you couldn’t wear them out. I didn’t need the 20 but got the 21 and within 2 months there was a hole in the heel lining they were rubbish got
@@piee683 awww, thats not like Brooks tbf, they're usually a proper work horse and last the distance, excuse the pun!!
Again another top vid from you guys. 🎉
@Beariam24 hey hey, thank you so much for sticking with us :) hopefully you found it useful
Thank you for this 🎉🎉🎉
@@amirijeans8450 you're welcome, I hope you found it useful!
Awsome video, how about what gear is needed for a newbie training for a marathon in April?
@Beariam24 hey thanks for the comment, hopefully you've given us a subscribe too :) good idea on the marathon vid. Out of interest, have you done a half yet? Just wondering where to pitch it!
Sub and liked 👍🏼! Nope Iv done a 5k in September and raised money for action for stammering children. After I did this they asked me if I would like to run for there team in the Brighton marathon next April. So I’m literally straight into a beginner marathon training plan and just working out the hard way what is needed almost each week. I think the next purchase is a watch as the pace and heart rate on Apple Watch 7 is awful on a wet day.
@Beariam24 thank you! Wow, big jump up then. I know you're not alone either, as we've got some guys that join our social run doing the same. OK, I'm on it!! And well done on raising money for a very worthwhile cause.
New video is up, hopefully you get some benefit from it
Love it
@gracelewis4173 aww thank you :)
How does this compare to the 361 LYNX?
Great question :) The Lynx is another great shoe! The midsole's differ, it uses the Primo midsole, which is the new premium midsole from 361, so very comfortable again. the Vibram mega grip is this time a Litebase meaning it's a lot lighter in weight, but still with great great. The Lynx is aimed at more technical trail, if you're heading for the muddy mountains, then the Futura is your shoe. But it's a great alternative depending on your terrain. i hope this helps!
@@SoleMateRunning Thank you for your detailed response. It was truly helpful. Thank you. 🥰
On the heels are the same of the cascadia 14 ( hard) or soft? Thank you
Hi, I'm not sure on the 14 to be honest as we only ever stocked the 17 and 18, but compared to the Caldera as an example, it's a lot firmer shoe.
thank you
Think there is no rock plate
I was going to say the same thing. But I bought one and it’s great.
You're right.. bit of a boo boo there!
