I love this so much. I had a smile on my face through the whole video, watching you use your previous creations to finish up this project. If they had had you on Gilligan's Island, they would have been rescued in a week.
Thanks a lot for your positive feedback!
Me too!😀👍🏼
Hello Felix, Your projects are always fun to watch and all made using a Swiss Army knife. The perfect bushcraft tool. Can't wait for the next product.
Thanks a lot Ron!!
great video and i subscribed to you channel. my new Swiss friend.
Felix Du alter Fuchs, the Australian bush is awaiting you !
The suspense about how to use the grass rope from your previous video is now over. Maybe the grass rope hammock is next.
Thanks for another Excellent video and we all want the Felix Immler edition Swiss Army Knife.
me too... let this know Victorinox!!
That's so awesome, my friend!! You really knocked it out of the park with this one. So many good ideas that came together to make this excellent project.
Thank you so much dear James. I saw also your pack frame with the bendet frame. That's a fantastic work!
@@FelixImmler Thanks so much!
You could be having an abysmal day but Felix's enthusiasm would bring a huge smile to your face.
Thanks for this wonderful compliment!
Great work! I wouldn’t have thought of the board and how you attached it, but those are great and innovative additions!
Thank you very much!
Hello Felix! Very cool video! It is easy to make such a frame, but to make it convenient, you need to know the nuances. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with us.
I agree! Thanks a lot for your kind comment!
Felix I feel like you could do this in a way where we could easily follow along what you do. And I think this could be something parents do with their kids. Considering all your materials are free and all you need is a single tool (swiss army knife) I think it could be a fun educational tool to get people outside more.
Thank you so much for your wonderful words!
This is another great video! I like how the design is basic and simple, with no complications - perfect! 🙂 👍
Oh, and by the way! Did you happen to see Jon Gadget mention you in his UA-cam video today? He said you are; " ...the font of all knowledge when it comes to Victorinox tips and tricks" - then he linked to your channel! Nice! Your videos are so wonderful, OTHER UA-camrs recommend you! I'm certainly not surprised, but I was still thrilled to see that! 😁
Fantastic, one of your best videos. It seems like backpacks/rucksacks always used to use external frames (metal), then the more modern style of internal structure came along. And now, full circle back to a visible, separate frame. You have made it so well. I bought your English language book: Swiss Army Knife Whittling in the Wild and would recommend it thoroughly to any of your YT audience. Great stuff.
Well let's just add that to the list of your massively cool projects. Thank you for all you do. Bravo.
Thanks a lot for this wonderful feedback!!
Love it Felix! Always enjoy seeing folks come up with their own variations of the Roycroft pack frame. I made one many years ago and still have it kicking about the house someplace. As I recall when I cut the staves for mine I used a measurement of my armpit to my wrist for the two uprights and then from my elbow to the tips of my extended fingers for the cross bar. For the suspension harness I picked up a length of cotton lead rope for lunging horses at a local feed supply store. It's reasonably comfortable and you have the added bonus of having cotton material at hand for making char in the field for the next fire mentality. Just have to whip the ends of the cotton rope to keep it from unravelling. Great video Felix!
Hello Gary. Thanks a lot for your super interesting comment!
Great! A comfortable pack frame is a joy to use, and you nailed it! 🤪 Well done
Thank you very much!
Really it’s look’s comfortable. And it’s easy to do. Thanks I try do it with the nephews. A interesting project for teenagers
Super!!! Thank you so much!!
How was it hiking with this improved pack frame? I would have thought to put the cross bar on the opposite side so that it does not press into your back. But how was it hiking with it?
THANK YOU VERY MUCH Dear Felix you are truly inspire me - Have anice weekend 🌲🌲🌲
That makes me happy. Thank you!

Wow Felix! What an amazing project. Super clever, strong but not over engineered, very versatile, simply incredible, bravo 👏
Thanks a lot Dan!
Great video my friend.
You are the "McGyver Of The Forest."
Really enjoy your videos. Please keep making them.

Thanks again!
Amazing project. It looks like it turned out way better than you could have imagined. I’m not surprised though. Your crafting skills with a SAK are top notch.
Thanks you very much for your compliment!
i love all the video of felix immler because you are very friendly and make me relax through the video, hope that you still make the video in the future
Hola Guillermo! Gracias!!
multitools are total garbage an these videos will cause serious harm to people who buy that junk. i don't know a single multitool user who didn't had wounds so deep they should have gotten stitches.. 👍
the words "full tang" are a 100% requirement to any military or swordmaster.
Thank you for your smart words my my knife master!
Viele danke Felix for yet again a great friday vid. Great start to the weekend.
I was finally able to source your book in South Africa. Have ordered a copy and in the spirit of things bought a victoriknox camp master. The last time I owned one was 30 years ago. Although I dont know it I will own it for long. I am planning to give it to my son. My intention is to use you book to teach my son knife safety and knife skills whilst doing great projects from the project genius himself.
I would just like to let you know you are making a great positive impact on people through your channel. Thanks for your hard work and dedication!
Ohhhh, your comment makes me happy! Thank you so much!!
Thank you. Much appreciated video!
I think this will work fine as a framepack for reenactment. But I would do the shoulderstraps with leather.
Thanks a lot for your interesting feedback!
Very cool, I've adopted the line tensioning straps myself, they work well...
Thanks for your feedback!
Thanks Felix! As always, you did a great job of presenting the project. Keep on sharing!
Thanks a lot John!
Great enhancements to a popular bushcraft pack. I also enjoy using bank line for my projects and Yes, the shipping is the most expensive part of this purchase. But, it is worth every penny.
I am also surprised that Victorinox has not made a Felix Immler edition SAK. This would be a great honor.👍🇨🇦
Thank you very much. Let them know this!
Hi Felix, That looked a mega super upgrade! great stuff. have a good weekend Cheers Will.
Thank you so much Will!
Hallo Felix,

Super content! Thanks very much. And thanks for sharing the source-channels of some of your ideas.
Thanks a lot Peter!!
I made many many of these as a kid! They work so so good when your going a long ways and don't want to carry things with your hands! Absolutely awesome video and your build was way way better! Thanks so so much for sharing your knowledge and skills with us I very much appreciate you and hope your Canada/Independence day weekend is amazing and full of blessings! hello Kimmers, hello Jeremy, thanks a lot for your valuable support. Your comments make me happy. Soon i will do a UA-cam break for some weeks. I hope that i will find out somme good ideas for the mini Fire steeels after this.
@@FelixImmler I look forward to see what you come up with! I've been thinking of ways to wear them and what one could craft up to do so...some sort of necklace or bracelets or anklets...I can't wait to see what you come up with for sure! 👍🏼🇨🇭🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏼
Thank you felix as well for hearting my comment!
You’re a really good UA-camr

Danke dir mein lieber Freund! Das Handgelenk ist schon wieder gut! :-D
Fantastic video my friend. Thanks for making this :-)
Thanks for watching my videos!
👋😁✌️Thank's, Felix! It 's great idea 👍👍👍!
Thank you!
Amazing video as always! Cheers from Argentina!!!
Thanks a lot Marcelo!
I hope you realize how fortunate you are to be in an area with lots of hazel and lots of cut conifers that give working surfaces and ready-made board type pieces of wood, as well as being in an area where the wood doesn't decompose immediately.
Working in the tropics that's not at all the case. There are other things to use, but few are as convenient and prolific as hazels and conifers, and dead wood here starts to decompose rapidly and it doesn't take long for it to be gone entirely.
Thanks for your super interesting feedback!
Good project Felix , thanks for sharing , God bless brother !
Thank you so much Michael!
great video and i subscribed to you channel. my new Swiss friend.
Thanks a lot for your support!
LG Roland
😂😂😂 Danke Roland!
Nice one felix, good use of some hazel sticks and your grass rope very handy piece of kit 👍
Thanks a lot Dave!
You're a wonderful advocate for both bushcraft and Victorinox. Gut gemacht, Herr Immler.
Thank you very much!
Genau! Gute Idee!
Seriously loved this one Mr.Felix brought back so many great memories! 👍🏼😀🇨🇭🇨🇦👍🏼
Wowww, thank you so much my friend!
@@FelixImmler seriously Mr.Felix...i spent alot of time by myself in the woods as a kid and was always making things with sticks and I don't know how many styles I came up with over the years...im thinking this one has the best of every point! This is why you are the king of the bushcraft my friend! 👍🏼🇨🇭🔥🔪🔥🇨🇦👍🏼
Hallo Felix
Kanäle über 10'000 Abos dürfen nicht...
G’day Mate, Hey! Felix I’m only wondering 💭 why don’t you use a Canadian jam knot or (Jam Knot)when your constructing the Frame as I think it’s a Much Stronger Knot then a (Granny Knot) or as other people call it a Over hand Knot… once again Mate another Brilliant Video Thanks for Sharing
You are absolutly right! Thanks for your hint!
Not a Problem Mate! Keep Safe and Keep up the Good Work Brother love your Videos
Que buen invento, bravo 👍🏼👍🏼👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
Gracias!
Skvělé video!
Moc děkuji! ☺
Thanks for your feedback!
That's a Totally Awesome idea!! Nicely done and looks pretty simple too make pack frame . Nice job !!! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🪓🔪👍👍
Yes..this project is quite easy..
Contact the Victorinox You Tube channel and let them know you want a Felix Immler edition Swiss Army Knife. Contact their website.
They know me very well. It need a lot of customer who has this desire...
Victorinox knows EXACTLY how many units of a special order it takes to go into production. They could at least let him know what this number is and allow pre-orders. If it hits the right number then start making them!
I’m going to get a Swiss Army knife soon and I’m going to get a huntsman
Good decision!
an then some stitches as anyone who ever bought a multitool needs
I’m also going to get the firefly ferro rod
Oh what fun, Felix - and comfortably practical, too! Again, ingenious thinking! 🙂 Thank you so much and as always it is a pleasure to be here for you! *Hugs* Wendi
Thank you so much Wendi!
Where do you buy "Bankline" in Europe
? i had problems finding that product in German and Polish stores...
I ordered it from USA. The shiping was expensiv!
@@FelixImmler That was the stopper for me. I understand it is some sort of "heavy duty big see/ocean fish line" but i cant find anything like it in the central European regon (Germany and west/south from it :/ )
If anyone knows tf there is something like that to be bought in Europe please gie me a shout!
Always nice to see how enthusiastic you are and watching you explain it in an easy way to understand. Thanks Felix!
Wowww, thatks for this wonderful compliment!
Felix I need some help, I have brittle fingernails, and have a difficult time opening my knife. Any suggestions?
ua-cam.com/video/meirpyWD778/v-deo.html
Thank you it works great.
Pretty cool.
GOD Bless you and your family
Thanks a lot Kenneth!!
I'm always impressed with your skills. I love it that you watch other people's channels and recreate their projects. That adds a lot to your channel. It always looks easy to do, but I'm sure people like me would struggle to make the things you do. I'm glad you use a Victorinox knife every time. I'm a big fan of their products.
Did yo hurted you arm. I wish it ok. Good bak packit !! Ok by.
It's all right...thank you!
Watching this video makes me happy. Everything is so clear and Felix explains it so well! Fantastic job, Felix!
Thanks for this wonderful feedback!
That's awesome!! Thank you Felix!!
Thanks a lot for watching and commenting!
I honestly fell in love with this project.
Thank you very much.
Honestamente me enamoré de este proyecto.
Muchas gracias.
Great job, as always.
For your lashings, I was thinking I might try the Canadian jam knot. Uses less cordage, and you can work it up SUPER tight. Do you know that one? If not, you'll love it. Fun pack to build when you're traveling light, but find unexpected treasures to bring home. Here in Northern Canada, I could even use Spruce roots split and peeled to lash it!
Keep these great videos coming.
Brilliant 🏆
Greetings from Norway
Thanks Buddy!
Another awesome construct I try to commit to memory! Thank you.
Thanks a lot!
Awesome job Felix 👍
Thank you very much!!

Thanks for your comment!
Felix hi !!! Felix you re doing great! You have good ideas. Nice to see you. GOOD LUCK!!!!
If you wrap your load in your tarp you would have a waterproof cover!
Super idea!
Thanks, Felix I can't wait to try this.
Super...thank you!

Just recently found your channel Felix, it's easily the best Bushcraft channel i've come across, and I look at a lot. You've a lot of info/projects I've never seen before, I've subscribed and will be back for more! Keep up the good work, all the best.
nice, now can you make a jet pack to fly around with?
haa ha haa, yes..good idea!
I previously joked that you could, if you tried, make parts for Volvo cars with just a SAK. I most humbly apologise...now realising it would be no real test for you ! Bravo !
Hellooo Felix 🫵🏻. Pretty slick my friend. I’m not sure the board at the bottom was worth the effort, but the grass straps were pretty cool.
Thanks for your feedback dear Jim!
Another beautiful peice of kit and wonderful craftsmanship. Thank you for teaching me new skills
hello mark. You are very welcome!
Gracias!
Clever but, it still looks uncomfortable to me. Great if it works for you. I would probably go with the old blanket roll system like the soldiers in the US Civil War used. As always, thanks for the clever ideas that you have demonstrated. Good Luck, Rick
Awasome love the video . Keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot for your kind comment!
Gute Arbeit Felix. I Say One Of Your Best Project. Thank You
That is some real project. Nicely done! one question, where do you buy bank line in Europe?
Very interesting! I see, UA-cam is changed.
Why you tube is changed?
@@FelixImmler I don't know why, but this morning it brought me everything with russian translate. And I don't like it - for me YT is a kind of learning English process. But now I see, its ok. Don't know, what it was, but now its normal. Have a great weekend!🤝
Hi Felix! I love your channel and find it very interesting and enlightening! Please can you do a review on the minichamp and the minichamp alox version, that would be brilliant 🙏🏻
Its nice and funny to see yours job, which is really simple, estetic and can be usefull in emergency situation 💪🏻💪🏻👍🥂
YES! And the grass rope is wide enough to act as padding where a thin rope would dig in. It should be very comfortable.
Another good video. I appreciate the way you continue to show the versatility of the Swiss army knife. I enjoy seeing the many projects you do with it.
Awesome video! The ropes seemed to get thinner by the end. Do they lose moisture like that? Or was this a different grass rope?
I am impressed that you like to learn from others, and that you are always willing to look for improvements on your previous projects.
Good job with this one. I have to say it is a great idea. As you said, it can be built using nothing but natural materials, which is a main goal of wilderness survival, not wasting materials. The only flaw I see is the grass rope waist belt, which would need constant retightening on a long or arduous hike. That could be cured with a toggle as well, by cutting one side slightly longer than necessary, lashing both ends of the rope, and using a toggle to secure together by untwisting a short section of the longer side and lashed in place. Untwist a section of shorter side and push toggle through, then release. Toggle needs to be slightly longer than the rope is wide and not very thick. I hope that helps.
