Thank you for giving us just the well edited content, and not putting stupid music over the top
Thanks for watching !
The garbage music is the worst part of most videos.
Absolutely! I have to mute the videos. Not this time.
music or no music is fine with me.
@@IllinoisBackyardBirdsNWildlifelooks like you are a bird that could watch IPad and Phones😅
5:14 They seem so damn quiet and peaceful... untill the parents show up. Then they are like "FOOD, NOW, GIVE!"
Love the way it places each piece of nesting material instead of just dumping it into a pile. They're very good parents.
"honey, I feel someone's watching us"
"you're crazy..."
I love how they arrive at the entrance with a long stick, realize said stick wont fit inside one way then turn the stick so it will fit
Lots of videos of dogs that can't figure that one out:)
The design of the bird house is plain genius.
Appreciate your comment and your time
can you explain why? because of the extra width?
@@hugomuller9373 I think they mean because it makes mounting the camera to get a good picture of the entire nest easier, while also keeping the camera high up so it doesn't get dirty.
The nest box is inclined at 45 degrees, for best view of the inside
One of the adults passed the food to the other to give to the babies. impressive cooperation
Then it stuck it's head out, as the other flew off:
"More like this!"
@@frankpinmtl to me, it was more like "are you serious?! This won't do!" 😂😂
Not one of the adults but the FATHER goes out to get the grasshoppers & brings them back to the MOTHER. That’s common sense 😏
Loved the video, I had Wrens clear all the cabbage worms out of my garden one time. I have kept a Wren house for the last 30+ years, they are the noisiest birds for their size you will ever experience.
That is awesome!
I just started gardening and it is amazing how helpful birds are with pests ❤
Yes mine yell at me every time I am even slightly close to their nest. Very vocal and angry
Thanks to everyone who builds bird houses.
love the way the dad sticks around and helps raise the kids.
Many (not all, but most of them) bird species need both parents to help raise their fast-growing chicks :) ... they're not necessarily monogamous for life, but they stick together for at least a breeding season ❤️
No, this is not "help". It is his DUTY
At the beginning of the video the bird was inspecting the house, looking from 1 side to the other, visually measuring the box, instinctively knows how big the sticks most be, and dividing the box with their visionary instincts oh how big the nest should be. Simply complex and smart.
I wonder where she got her degree in interior design. Not bad.
It always brings a smile to my face when I see those huge, yellow baby beaks, open wide, demanding 😅
Thanks a lot for your comments and for watching !
I put out a bird house on the front porch for decoration and got treated with watching mom and pop build their nest. It’s been fun. Can’t wait to see babies.
Thank you for making this interesting film. Such a hardworking little attentive bird mother. When you lifted the roof I was scared she would abandon her nest but she didn’t. She was so smart the way she fit the bigger sticks in there like Tetris.
They’re so smart, I’ll never get over how strong animal instincts are.
Instinct does not have anything to do with being smart.
@@hanktwenthe7840They're not mutually exclusive
OMG, Precious House Wren. I Love them☺🐦
Thank you! 😊
That is so cool. Cornell university ornithology dept. used to have a live feed of bird nesting activities online.
Very interesting. The bird chose a bird box next to a tree, knowing it could conserve energy building the nest. Then, just like human babies, the chick's can't communicate they are in danger, like when the roof of their nest continually gets removed.
*chicks, no apostrophe.

Don’t overestimate the intelligence of birds
In some countries it's quiet normal that people put up several of this bird house on trees nearby their houses. Kids even get bird house as birthday gift so they can assemble and put up in apple trees. 😊
Muy interesante notable😂
Such beautiful, amazing and precious information!!! Thank you so much 😊
Thank you !
the love of a mother is beyond everything you can imagine.
Very nice of you giving birdies a cozy house out of the rain and wind ❤❤
Thank you for this beautiful, touching video. Their devotion is so emotional... xoxo
Thank you !
I love how she divided the space. She has her nest on one side while leaving the other side open concept for when she has company.
Isn’t she quite the home maker? ❤️
I'm in central Illinois & my house wrens usually don't make it. My neighbor's free-range cat is the bane of my existence during the summer. He nabs them up as soon as they fledge. I thought I was doing good just putting sparrow guards over the entrances. Grrrr. You must have enough chemical-free native plants nearby to produce the number of caterpillars needed to rear a brood of babies. Good job!
Hmm. I was inspired to put up a couple boxes for chickadees and wrens, but you're making me rethink my plans. My neighborhood has a few roaming cats, and I'd hate for native birds to put so much energy raising their babies only to feed a cat. I need to do some research and find places around the property that give fledgling birds some cover and escape routes. MY cats won't be an issue for them, they're indoor-only because I don't want them destroying the local ecosystem!
Do you have another possible site to relocate or just mount another?
No matter where I look or what I see, nature takes the cake! Amazing!
So cool, I love nature, the arrangement of the twigs and things had a spot and she would make sure it fits perfectly. ❤
Just incredible ❤❤❤❤.
A Carolina wren made a nest in a folded camp chair on my balcony, and I could see it just outside my window. What an amazing thing to watch real time. I got to see them take flight and leave the nest! My cats were enamored as well. Spent every day sitting at the window watching them
Great ! You’re in the front seat watching wildlife!
That's a beautiful family...
Yes they are
Isn’t nature just the best?
You go girl
You can hear a parent scolding every time the roof is lifted off. "Back off!"
Yes they are very protective of their nest
Was your camera motion activated or remotely activated with eyes on the box? What kind of camera? Great set up!

Praise God❤ that is so beautiful how animals have this insight to know how to take care of their nestlings 🎉🎉🎉
....that was awesome...best wishes from AotearoaNZ...❤❤❤
It has always amazed me how such a small bird can have such a loud song!
I love wrens and a single thumbs up isn't nearly enough to show how much I enjoyed watch this. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Wow ! Thanks so much
When I was making a lot of quilts I used to put thin fabric and thread scraps in a bag and hold them until Spring, then put them out in the tress. Free building materials! We had pretty bird nests.
This is the part of nature I love! Thank you for this awesome video!!!!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
That’s amazing to watch thank you
I enjoy these out of work shop videos, please add more.
Will do, stay tuned
This is how easy boomers think millennials can have a house and family
Go cry into your skinny latte and crushed avocado toast about it.
Back when when 30k was enough to have a nice car a house Christmas and could travel 🧳
Boomer here: actually I was thinking about how exhausting it would be to be a bird.
I bought my first house in a medium sized city in CA in 2011 @6.5% making 12/hr.
I'm a millennial and it was quite easy to build a house and start a family. Get a good job and a partner who works as well and save money.
That was a truly an enjoyable video!
Thank you very much!
Very good
Thanks

They love peanut butter. I've been feeding one for over a year now. He brought a female companion to join the feast. Little guy didn't wait for me to put it down, he grabs it right off the knife before I spread it sometimes
I had a bird house up for 3 years before someone looked at it. A wren inspected it and started moving in, and then all of a sudden, everyone else was interested in it. Hilarious to watch.
Good to know, I put up a house at the beginning of spring last year and had no takers, maybe this year someone will choose it!
Как же красиво творение Аллагьа,ма ша Аллагь

That is so nice, thank you for sharing. I have a wrench roosting by my front door every night.
That is awesome!
is it an open end or a socket wrench? what size is it/ bigger than 44mm or smaller? Do you rub it with WD 40 to keep it shiny?
Wow ! Its just absolutely amazing !!!
Thank you! Cheers!
So cute❤❤❤
It looks very amazing to me how the birds prepared their nest and hatchet eggs and both member of the family birds gether food for babies Thanx

I am so into this!!! Is that crazy??😂 The way they build nests
I have a few babies I hear above my deck. Im glad I never power washed what I thought was debris stuck there. It’s a nest! Yikes
Yes they are!
Très belle vidéo
Great video. I built some nest boxes for American bluebirds and titmice. So far, the only birds showing interest are chickadees. I'll take what I can get! Thanks for the video.
I'm used to watching big birds breed (egrets... so many egrets), so it is nice to see how their diminutive cousins do it.
Thanks for watching!

I have several wren boxes on our property, so funny to watch them do their thing. Always scolding me when I walk by the nests. 😂❤

Awesome job!
