- With "Thicker Than Blood" we wanted to shoot a video that celebrates the 5th and most important member of the band. Our fans. So we shot it from the fans point of view.
No matter how great a band believes they are… you cannot achieve your dreams of touring the world and doing what you love the most, performing, without your fans.
It’s the most important relationship in our career.

Also saw an interview here on UA-cam where Nuno said he hoped to do a video for every song. I'd like to see what he comes up with when he does X Out. Since it sounds like a Gary song maybe he'll let Gary come up with the concept.

@@machoalexandro hard disagree. Extreme never had a set sound in my opinion, and they just went for a harder, more rock focused album. Still love their older stuff as well.
Maybe it’s because I have been a fan since 1989…but I wish people would quit calling this a comeback or a return. Extreme hasn’t been away for the past 15 years even when the members would put out other stuff. More people just started listening because they put out new material. They have been touring fairly regularly for the past 16 years but other things got in the way of putting out a new album before now, one of the reasons being the pandemic and the enjoyment of playing the new music for the fans.

The song itself is awesome and the guitar solo within the song is one of the most unique and brilliant pieces of music ever, and the mix is perfection!
My sisters and I were there at the Anaheim show where they recorded this!! Amazing performance by Extreme and the energy was surreal in the crowd. Nuno rocked it with his guitar playing and dance moves!

I love that you guys have maintained the same core selfhood as a band throughout but are changing the ingredients in a lot of ways, like 28 years ago this particular musical sensation got expressed as Never Been Funked.
A nice funky track, with influences of Aerosmith and Van Halen. The song has a very good message to it. Extreme are awesome. Cheers! ✌️
Sorry to disagree but to me it sounds more like VH and Godsmack. But one thing we can agree on is an effin gr8 song

By far the best album to come out in years in my opinion. Definately the comeback of the year. I was eagerly awaiting for them to release this album & it did not disappoint. Thicker Than Blood is my jam. I can't get enough of this song...the whole album actually. It is on heavy rotation in my car every single day. 😊

Nuno is so underrated, best living guitarist now that Eddie died. Extreme is more authentic than Aerosmith, they write killer new music. Gary has worked with the 2 greatest guitarists who ever lived, obviously along with Steve Vai. The DLR band with Steve and Billy Sheehan was unbelievable as well...

Esse álbum é uma obra de arte e se tornará uma relíquia daqui uns 30 anos como os álbuns anteriores. Eles voltaram incríveis, pena que demorou muito tempo, poderiam ter feito mais uns 5 álbuns antes desse.
I've seen a couple of interviews where Nuno has regrets leaving the band instead of just taking some time off and just doing his solo projects.
I'm always so thankful that my cymbals are still intact when I finish playing this tune...

I was a fan in the 90s but this is utter dross. All the fake comments calling it album of the year and on the banshee video saying the band are saving rock and roll. All the usernames are so similar its blatantly bots pushing the agenda. what's the actual point. To be clear, this song and banshee are utter crap and the sycophantic comments are ludicrous.

Meh. I bought tickets to Living Colour/Extreme because I'm a big LC fan, but i wanted to check out Extreme beforehand to get more familiar with their music before the show. If this is as good as it gets, I think I'll be leaving after Living Colour's set.

@@lvl99ultrathug it was Feb 19. I was willing to hang around for some of Extreme but my son wanted to get home so we bailed. Living Colour killed it though! Going to see them again in Odessa tomorrow (w/o Extreme).
@@zlh67 Well, I was going to recommend some songs to try to win you over, but now I think that I better not. However, if you can't dig the 6-minute, album version of Rest In Peace (the video/radio edit cuts out some good stuff after the solo), then yeah Extreme probably has nothing for you. I'm not as devout as other fans (seriously, some of these dudes think Six is album of the century lol) so I can admit that the vocal harmonies can take the bite out of a lot of the songs.
And btw, there is a video of Nuno and the crowd singing Happy Birthday to Vernon and Nuno expressing his thoughts about LC

I know everyone talks about the solo in Rise, but this is equally if not better for me! So many different elements pulled into this solo, and it fits so perfectly with the song style.

I like the one in Rise better, partly because it's longer, partly because you can hear it better. This is a bit muddy when he does the faster part. But I love the start and end both are slinky slow bends, he doesn't try to go too fast, definitely made it musical. I guess we like them both! 🙂

Gary & Nuno are in such great shape. And you can tell how much they love performing. They're so physical and egaged with the audience. And I base that off the many times I've seen them live, not just this great video.
