THIS BETTER BE IN TWISTERS
i checked the tracklist for the soundtrack and its basically all country music :( its a shame as this is basically the theme song for the film and should have been featured in Twisters. not country music.
I was really hoping this would be in the new twisters movie too!
Nope, just Country Music, but I do like Luke Combs, M. Lambert and Lainey Wilson. I guess is just another times.
Luke Combs is leading with the new chase song, Ain’t no love for Oklahoma ua-cam.com/video/J6YlaeACE4E/v-deo.htmlsi=HyiNvQfRD8lywKmJ
Van Halen's Human Being, should be a tribute anthem to all storm chasers!
That movie is where I first heard this song
YES I AGREE
Amen to that!!
Fuck yeah! Needs to be on the new Twister movie somewhere in it
It goes through my mind every time I watch storm Chasers!
After reading Noel Monk’s book, I can’t help but look at these guys in a different light. Michael Anthony deserved so much better treatment and credit, but he is a true professional and was there for the fans. No matter what side you’re on, Mike deserves a medal for what he put up with.
😊😊
😊
Not aware of a book by Noel Monk, good/worth reading?
@@bubbaguitar12 Check out "Runnin' With The Devil". Came out in 2017. I highly recommend it if you're a fan of the band. It gets into the business side a bit, but still has plenty of stories to tell about how wild things were during the original Roth era. A bit heartbreaking in the end, and you could see that as great as they were, there was so much more potential if the egos and the excess hadn't gotten in the way. I had a hard time putting the book down.
Got to shake hands with him when I saw them at Cain's Ballroom, Tulsa Ok. 1978. He was trying to get to the bar. Walking through the crowd. Kinda said it all way back then.
Can we all agree that a core component to the sound of Van Halen is the background vocals Michael Anthony?
How about the Roth-era combo of Mike and Eddie harmonizing together? That to me is the magic Van Halen background vocal sound.
Eddie is in there too, in fact Edward was lead singer at one time. I agree but everyone is always mentioning Michael without mentioning Eddie as well
@@chrisluckhardtexactly
Yes sir!! to hear that "Shine on, shine on" backgound is just fkin fantastic!!
@@ponzo1967 I imagine that is because the "high harmony' that Michael Anthony sings is a little harder to do and Eddie was already revered as a virtuoso on the guitar.

I'm for the 90's so Twister was the first disaster movie I ever saw and Eddie took it to the next level. RIP Eddie, you're gone but never forgotten.🤟🤟🤟✌️
Same!
RIP the legend EVH.
Still watching that joint on vhs lol. Grew up on it in school, they played that movie after every severe storm event and even after we lost a teacher throughout k-12
The last great song from the mighty Van Halen. The band was at its peak. A great band always has friction in a band. That's why this dong is so amazing. In the movie Twister. They took human beings and played the song with full orchestra. Then the guy goes “ take a ride on the wild side” .this song is almost 30 yrs old and still holds up. Thank you Eddie, Alex, Micheal, and Sammy. Miss this band so damn much
Where is this "amazing dong" that you are referring to?
Absolutely loved this soundtrack. Alexs snare sound is so killer. He has such a unique and recognizable drum eq sound. This entire song is just pounding!
Yes That snare!
The "big" quality to his sound, in combination with the huge amount of space between the drums and the guitars, gives VH a vast and unique sound.
Alex and Eddie both owned their sound. When you hear Eddie Van Halen, you know it's EVH, and the same is true for Alex. True masters of their crafts.
What a massive, powerful song!
I LOVE this song!!! Van Halen with Sammy Hagar were INCREDIBLE!! I had the privilege of seeing them in concert and it Rocked!!! RIP Eddie!
Sammy and Eddie were gods of their domains. And when the universe put them together, it was magic. They were musical soul mates and together they were a force of nature. This song was a symbol of that 💥💥💥
Riiiight...this is the song that split them up.....
@@StudioDaVeed No, this song was written and recorded as they were on the verge of splitting. The friction has been building for a year and this song has nothing to do with it. It just so happened to be their last.

'Balance' is a great album. I remember at the time it was a big deal that Eddie had gone back to his original amps for the record, and reclaimed his guitar tone from the synths..
IMO, This was their peak moment musically and they really matured as a band in this period. It's a pity they didn't stay the course.
I personally prefer the original line-up, but Sammy was right - they should've made a new record then, and not a release a compilation.

Sammy raised the bar and puts the band on another level musically and commercially. David is great too, but Sammy is a full package singer - vocals, stamina, energy, great looking guy!
Not to mention a very good guitarist in his own right!
@@WTHenry2023 just was going to say this. Plus, he's an actual singer, DLR really wasn't. Sammy wrote complex music, DLR not so much. Sammy was a big solo star before VH. Standing Hampton is in my top 10 albums.
@@sportsmom165 Agreed. I saw Sammy open for ZZ Top in 1983 and Sammy blew ZZ Top off the stage imo. I also loved his HSAS (Hagar, Schon, Aaronson, Shrieve) collaboration in 1984 where, among other songs, they did an awesome cover of Procol Haram's Whiter Shade of Pale! On top of those things, he seems like a good guy. I like that he and Michael Anthony kept working together after Van Halen in Chikenfoot and the Circle.
@@WTHenry2023 I loved HSAS & their version of Whiter Shade of Pale. Also loved Missing You. Sammy played in my home town in 1984. I had just graduated high school and had bought a black 1979 Camaro Z28, with tinted windows & a Craiger louver. I went to the concert with four of my friends, yes one sat on the hump in the back. lol. After the concert my friend needed something from 7-11 & she just happened to be in the passenger seat. It's summer & we have the windows rolled down, playing one of my Sammy cassettes & singing our lungs out. I heard airbrakes on the side street, heard a (bus) door open & some guy went running into the 7-11. Didn't faze us, still rocking out. Heard the door open again & Sammy came behind my car, opened the door & jumped in. Told me to drive. I was dumbstruck & backed up & drove around like he said. He was singing with us the entire time. Unfortunately, my dash was black too & there were only black sharpies back then, or I would have had him sign my dash. Pull up into 7-11 my friend is pissed as hell & Sammy is trying to talk me in to riding down to Denver in his bus & have my friends follow in my car. I knew what he meant & politely declined. Van Halen has always rocked, but I really enjoyed Eddie's playing in this phase of his career. He looked really happy and his playing was melodic and powerful. Great song. The whole band was so tight on this one. RIP Edward.
Actually , he wasn't that happy . Even though this is one of the best Van Hagar songs Hagar didn't even want to do it . When he first joined Van Halen , Hagar did a song for a POS Sylvester Stallone movie Over The Top . Ed even played bass for the song . As the years went by Hagar copped an attitude , which you can see on one of the UA-cam compilations of the band . I believe it's from Howard Stern . In one , Hagar says backstage " This is MY band " . And the next you clip you hear him say " Lead singer of the band leader of the band what's the difference ?" Hagar started to become a diva . The director of Twister , a fellow Dutch man , asked the band if they wanted to do a song or two . The Halen Bros said yes . When Hagar heard the news he went all diva saying he didn't want to do it . He's the one that changed and became an ungrateful little prick .
