      I have a question about climbing. What is your opinion of how this frame climbs? I am looking for a really good climbing bike/frame, would you say the AR ONE is an exceptional climber? Or just an average climber?
      Also, as to the black Friday discount, can I just but a frame and get the discount, or is the frame discount only if I buy the whole package (that I don't need)?
      Thanks Joe!

    Dont argue with me, argue with the aerodynamic data 🎉 anecdotally most wt pros are now using more and more spacers under the stem…

    • @bonbonflippers4298

      Aero position over stem spacers?

    • @invisiblescout6335
      @invisiblescout6335 3 дні тому +1

      You can usually add more spacers, those of us who can hold these aggro positions can only slam down the stem so far

    • @ChinaCycling
      @ChinaCycling  3 дні тому +3

      Not gonna argue, my old man told me never start a fight you can't win. Remco, Tadej and Vingegaard all running slammed stems. But, yes, it is anecdotal. I will say that if every frame had the same 'middle of the road' stack, then users on the ends of the bell curve would have less choice. We should applaud brands for stepping away from the norm and offering more choice for those on the edges of the bell curve.

    • @invisiblescout6335
      @invisiblescout6335 3 дні тому

      @@ChinaCycling tbf, pog could use a bit more stack if looking exclusively at the road bike aero position. He hasn't got great mobility, but he's so strong it doesn't matter.

    I know it may not be a common demand but would love to see more of these frames in one size larger. At 198cm most of the frames are just a little small with XL being the biggest size available

    • @galenkehler
      @galenkehler 3 дні тому

      Haha I'm in the same boat, I need an XXXL in this size scheme 😂
      Might have to make my own line of bikes for us big boys.

    • @SuperGangles

      @ Yeah I definitely feel you on that one. Even many of the mainstream brands don’t always offer the sizes either.

    • @galenkehler
      @galenkehler 3 дні тому

      @@SuperGangles I currently have a converted TT frame as my road bike, the rather generic open mold TT912 frame that you can get from a number of manufacturers. It has a 437mm reach, I'm still looking for a UCI legal frame with a similar geometry. I don't want to go back to using 140-150mm stems 😆

    • @SuperGangles
      @SuperGangles 3 дні тому +1

      @galenkehler seems Canyon is one of the brands to make the largest sizes with their 2XL’s unfortunately they don’t really sell frames. Would love to see them offer it in the future but won’t be holding my breath for it

    • @galenkehler
      @galenkehler 3 дні тому +1

      @@SuperGangles yeah I looked at a 2XL Canyon Aeroad, with a -25⁰ 120mm stem that would correct for the huge stack. But I'm no keen on buying a bike with a goofy proprietary steerer tube, that I can't swap forks on. I have a nice custom low rake fork, but canyons are not a normal tapered design

  • @galenkehler
    @galenkehler 4 дні тому +5

    That retro 90s Clipart paint is amazing, love the creativity.
    Any word on when any Chinese brands will come out with a large size bike? The AR:one has a great looking proportion, but sadly the size range stops short by one or 2 sizes. It would be amazing to have a long and low bike like these in adult sizes!

    • @ChinaCycling
      @ChinaCycling  4 дні тому +1

      Haha, i hear you. Our team (who ride this bike) have one guy Gleb who is 187cm and one guy Oskar who is 188cm. They both ride the XL. Oskar rides it slammed, Gleb has a spacer or two. But, they are obviously very flexible professionals!

    • @galenkehler
      @galenkehler 3 дні тому

      @ChinaCycling because of the short head tube, that XL actually has less effective reach than comparable frames. The shrinkflation is real, the XL is the same geometry as a size L canyon aeroad for example

    • @galenkehler
      @galenkehler 3 дні тому

      @ChinaCycling for what its worth, I'm also 188cm tall, and I currently ride a TT bike conversion, one of the open mold TT912 frames as a road bike with a 115mm stem. I got the bike for the 437mm reach, on a pretty normal 175mm headtube.
      I dont really feel like going back to the short bike/long stem, with the issues of toe overlap and goofy steering.

Currently at 185cm i'm on a 58 Aethos with 120 stem, so will be checking out the geometry. EDIT - just looked at the comparison on Geometry Geeks website (good to see AR:one there already) and really just that 20mm lower stack height and 7mm shorter effective top tube...so might be ok, though I already often feel a larger size would work better.

    1. You mentioned Canondale: does the rear wheel need a re-dishing? Or it's just standard centered dishing there?
    2. You should compare the price with Merida or Giant. These are affordable, reputable, Western brands.

    On the other side, in your words this Quickpro AR:One rides fast and uncomfortably stiff. It weighs is 780g - 800g in Sz.Medium

      @invisiblescout6335 the top headtube to stem intersection is straight from Tarmac, as is the headtube to front rear triangle depth proportions, the rear seat tube cutout and dropped seat stay. Most all around bikes look similar, but few have the SL8 tube proportions

      @@Shadowboost top tube is straight, different tube junctions everywhere, downtube cross-section, fork design, much longer seattubes

    "Quick Pro" screams AliExpress Kmart Walmart bike. Who comes up with these silly names? Build a quality bike and then slap on a cheap embarrassing name.

      @@tonylo6013 Its name on the downtube. Quick Pro. It looks lame and the font is lame. The bike itself is cool but it's ruined by the name and font.
      It's like seeing Hyundai on a Ferrari.
      Not saying this bike is a Ferrari but you get what I mean.
      Quick Pro sounds like something you would find on Temu Aliexpress.

      I would rather see the name of the company that is making the frame even if it was written in the language and it was something I could not pronounce.

      Nearly as bad as “winspace”. They ruin their product and image with these embarrassing names. It just makes it seem like bargain bucket crap
